Chapter 261: Chapter 261: The Fight

Jiang Xiaoxiao was somewhat stunned; after all, that was her cousin. Although she did not agree with her cousin’s behavior, she felt she needed to go over and check on her after she fainted. Unfortunately, her shoulder was in pain, and she couldn’t move right away.

Jiang Lingling on the court was very anxious and ran to Lin Jiayi’s side the moment she collapsed on the ground.

"Cousin, cousin, what happened to you?"

Jiang Lingling shook Lin Jiayi, trying to wake her up, but unfortunately, Lin Jiayi showed no sign of response.

"Wan Chu’er, you’re going too far," Jiang Lingling couldn’t help but yell at Wan Chu’er, "How could you hit my cousin like that?"

At first, Wan Chu’er wanted to remind her not to shake Lin Jiayi because she might have suffered a concussion from being hit, but seeing Jiang Lingling yelling at her, she responded directly, "Who knew her head would be in the way and block the ball."

Hearing this, Shen Qian gave Wan Chu’er a glare then hurried over to Lin Jiayi, preventing Jiang Lingling from shaking her, and said, "Call for a doctor."

This resort had a medical office, and on a day of such a large gathering, the presence of a doctor was indispensable.

The incident attracted everyone’s attention.

Once someone heard Shen Qian’s words, they quickly called for a doctor.

In no time, a male doctor arrived with a medical kit and carefully examined Lin Jiayi’s condition while a crowd of onlookers gathered around.

On the opposite side of the court, Xiao Bai said with concern, "Could she have been killed by the hit? If you wanted to play dirty, you should’ve chosen a secluded place. There’s too much gossip here, and it’s unlikely to end well for you."

Wan Chu’er’s mouth twitched, "It’s her own fault for being such an eyesore."

Xiao Bai looked around and whispered, "Should we get out of here?"

Wan Chu’er: "..."

Li Shan looked at him with disdain.

"What do you mean by that, Brother Lishan? I’m not blind!" Xiao Bai immediately picked up on that look and started bickering with Li Shan.

Shortly after, a man picked up Lin Jiayi and left the court with the doctor. The girls from the Anning group followed them out, and Jiang Lingling went along too.

Wan Chu’er watched calmly as Shen Qian approached her.

Shen Qian stopped about a meter away from Wan Chu’er.

"You did it on purpose, didn’t you? Jiayi was hurt because of me, so you took it out on her. Wan Chu’er, I thought you were an honorable person, but it seems I was wrong about you."

Wan Chu’er responded noncommittally, "What do you want?" She was not one for idle chatter.

Shen Qian said, "It seems you’re quite capable. Since you want to vent, why don’t we have a fight, two against one?"

She really wanted to give Wan Chu’er a good beating; this girl was too arrogant, and it was unbearable. Thinking it over, she was worried Wan Chu’er might be too scared to agree and run away, so she added:

"Do you dare or not? If you want to be a coward, then leave Jiang Ke Chu. A coward does not deserve the King of Soldiers."

Heh, a provocation!

Wan Chu’er sneered, "You don’t need to provoke me. Is this just your excuse to beat me up in the name of a fight, mentioning Jiang Ke Chu and all? Fine, let’s fight."

She was also curious to see how well her martial arts had improved, having been practicing with Li Shan for a while now. It was time for a test.

Shen Qian snorted when Wan Chu’er exposed her intentions, her face becoming somewhat unnatural, but she quickly raised her fists and assumed a fighting stance.

Xiao Bai glanced around and pulled Li Shan back to clear some space for the fight.

The movements of the two caught everyone’s attention.

Soon, many people began to crowd around.

After all, a fight between beautiful women was quite a spectacle, especially when one of the fighters was Shen Qian.

The people around began to discuss, asking each other who Wan Chu’er was to challenge Shen Qian. Shen Qian had grown up in a military compound and was a soldier herself, with not inconsiderable fighting skills.

Soon enough, they figured out Wan Chu’er’s identity; she was Jiang Ke Chu’s girlfriend.

Turns out, it’s romantic rivals fighting, causing quite a stir.

There were many spectators, some of whom recognized Wan Chuchu as the granddaughter of Old Sir Zhong, who had made a scene at the Su Family banquet not long before. The buzz increased.

"Who knows which current military regiment commander, the Princess, will win against the legendary Old Sir Zhong’s granddaughter in this PK?"

"Yeah, what big news, these two actually clashing against each other."

"Whom do you want to win? Both of them are not to be underestimated."

"Jiang Kechu really is lucky, to have attracted two such beauties."

Then there were those who didn’t know the identities of Wan Chuchu and Shen Qian, instructing others to go and find out.

"What? That woman in the white shirt is a military officer, the daughter of a military district commander? Her uncle is also the chairman of a multinational corporation?"

"Wow, doesn’t that mean she’ll totally crush that other beauty across from her?"

"What do you know? That beauty also comes from no simple background. Do you know who her grandfather is? He’s a legend. Even Shen Qian’s dad has to respectfully greet him."

...

The lively gossip among the surrounding crowd made the duel all the more exciting.

Xiao Bai, in the middle of it all, listened with great interest, rubbing his fingers together, asking Li Shan, "What do you say, should we make a bet on this? Is it allowed here? Could we make a fortune?"

With an expressionless face, Li Shan asked, "You bet on Wan Chu’er, you’ll definitely lose everything. If you bet on Shen Qian, then wait for Wan Chu’er to beat you up."

Xiao Bai was dumbfounded for a moment, feeling a dark cloud over his forehead.

Soon he reacted, "You’re saying Chuchu is no match for Shen Qian?"

After a pause, Li Shan said indifferently, "Just a bit behind."

In a frenzy, Xiao Bai scratched his head and cheeks - what to do? He couldn’t just watch Wan Chu’er get beaten up. He wanted to go up and stop it, but as soon as he made a move, Li Shan grabbed him.

"Let’s watch first; Wan Chu’er wants to fight."

In the middle of the open space, Wan Chu’er watched Shen Qian carefully, not making a move, which made Shen Qian unable to initiate as well.

Shen Qian, being straightforward, felt that she had practiced in the army, so she agreed to let Wan Chu’er make three moves.

After observing for a while, Wan Chu’er saw Shen Qian growing more impatient, then suddenly made her move.

She threw a right punch at Shen Qian, and without waiting to retract the punch, immediately launched a kick. Shen Qian reacted quickly, extending a hand to block Wan Chu’er’s upper attack while sidestepping to dodge the kick.

For a moment, punch for punch, kick for kick, they exchanged moves, engaging in an impressive fight.

People around them watched with gasps, their hearts lifting and falling with the fighters’ moves, unsure who they should root for.

After more than a dozen exchanges, neither had landed a solid hit.

Wan Chu’er felt Shen Qian was a worthy opponent, stronger than herself yet not overwhelmingly so, perfect for her to practice on.

The more Shen Qian fought, the more seriously she took Wan Chu’er, her actions becoming faster and fiercer.

At last, Shen Qian grabbed Wan Chu’er’s outstretched arm. In a flash of lightning, she twisted it behind Wan Chu’er’s back. A thrill of victory surged in her—finally, she had Wan Chu’er in her grasp and could punch her hard.

Unfortunately for her, the fist she had powered up was caught by someone – it was Wan Chu’er’s ally, Li Shan.

In that brief moment of distraction, Wan Chu’er broke free from Shen Qian’s control and directly said to Li Shan, "Brother Lishan, I’ll leave it to you."

"Wan Chu’er, you coward, stop right there!" Shen Qian shouted in desperation. She wanted to chase after Wan Chu’er but found herself entangled by Li Shan.

Wan Chu’er shouted back, "Just because you call me a turtle doesn’t make me one. Sis here knows how to assess the situation. Should I just stay here and let you beat me up? Sis isn’t that stupid!"

It’s one thing to have a fight; it’s another to get injured. Her intent was to practice her combat skills and to test Shen Qian’s ability, and now that she had achieved her goal, it was naturally time to beat a hasty retreat.

Then, to everyone’s astonishment, she quickly vanished into the distance.
