Shi Lian had no time to sympathize with their mutual outpouring of feelings, not even enough time to greet him properly, as she hurriedly recounted what she and Cai Yun had heard, in a state of six gods without a master: "Sang Lang, what should we do about this! The siblings didn’t need to stand on ceremony with each other and began to talk in the warm pavilion.

He didn’t mention Shi Lian, only saying that he had overheard the conversation of the maids from the second house in the garden by accident.
