Chapter 87: Chapter 087 Quality Issues
Sophie Wilson smiled and turned to ask the staff beside her, "Did we invite this media outlet?"
"No." The staff immediately shook his head, walked over, and asked, "Sir, could you please leave?"
"Why should I leave? Is it because you’re feeling guilty? Is there something fishy about this renovation that you’re afraid of?" Before the staff could even approach, Joshua Wright shouted loudly, his voice booming.
This shout indeed drowned out the sounds at the scene, grabbing the attention of the prospective homebuyers nearby.
This was exactly the effect Joshua Wright wanted.
Seeing he had caught everyone’s attention, Joshua Wright became even more energetic, "What are you doing? What exactly are you hiding? Are you so scared of my questions!"
Joshua Wright’s outburst made the staff feel quite embarrassed, what had he done now?
The way this person was speaking made it sound like their company was full of bandits and thugs.
"Dear reporter friend," Sophie Wilson said with a smile, unhurriedly, "We are asking you to leave because you are not an invited guest."
"Can’t I still fight for legitimate rights for the homebuyers even if I wasn’t invited?" Joshua Wright was quite adept at portraying himself as the "underdog."
Unfortunately, if Sophie Wilson could be fooled by him, then she’d have lived her past life in vain!
"It’s normal to strive for the interests of the buyers. Both we and President Payten’s company are in a mutually beneficial relationship with the buyers, not an antagonistic one," Sophie Wilson said with a sincere smile.
"When President Payten’s houses are up to quality standards, and we do a good job with renovations, only then will buyers trust the products of our two companies. That’s when they’ll recommend us to relatives and friends, and both our companies can sustain long-term development."
"Our two companies have no intention of making a quick buck, let alone the fact that if our quality doesn’t meet standards, we are also liable to compensate our consumers."
"Our two companies would never engage in something that offers no benefit."
Sophie Wilson’s words made President Payten nod repeatedly; he had more than just this one development project and had no need to ruin his own company for a small, insignificant profit.
The prospective homebuyers who came today felt even more relieved after hearing this.
They were spending so much money to buy a house for the sake of living comfortably and peacefully, after all.
"Supervisor Wilson speaks beautifully, but I wonder how well it’s being executed," Joshua Wright remarked sarcastically.
"How well I execute it is naturally for the consumers to evaluate. However, dear journalist, while you’re here righteously questioning us, perhaps the person you should question most is yourself," Sophie Wilson smiled slightly and said, "Not being invited in; isn’t that a character issue?"
"I’m a journalist, I have the right to interview and report to prevent homebuyers from being deceived!" Joshua Wright declared righteously.
"That’s your reason for breaking the rules and sneaking into our venue?" Sophie Wilson chuckled, "You mean to say you’re ignoring the rules for the benefit of the buyers? You’re doing this for them?"
Some of the homebuyers didn’t look pleased; no one likes being used as a tool.
"So, if you ran a red light, would it be to test the driver’s reaction speed and the car’s braking performance?" Sophie Wilson asked mockingly.
"Sophie Wilson, stop twisting words!" Joshua Wright’s face turned dark when he heard this, and he yelled angrily, "If your quality isn’t problematic, why are you blocking me like this?"
