Chapter 82: Chapter 82: Really No Need to Explain

"She wasn’t charmed away by me!" Kai Bright shouted, desperate for survival.

He was afraid that if he said it a second late, he wouldn’t be in this world anymore.

After all, he knew what position that person held in Charles Seymour’s heart.

"Charmed away?" Charles Seymour sneered, "Who do you think you are?"

With a swift kick, Charles knocked Kai Bright to the ground, finally letting out the breath he was holding.

Kai Bright howled on the floor: "Don’t you have any brotherly love left?"

"No." Charles replied decisively.

Kai Bright, deceased!

Charles didn’t pay him any more attention, opened the door and went to his bedroom.

Completely ignored, Kai Bright got up on his own, stumbled to Charles’s bedroom, and sullenly watched him change clothes: "You know your goddess isn’t interested in me, so why did you hit me?"

He felt more wronged than Dou E!

In this mid-summer, it really could snow to match the scene.

Charles didn’t even glance at him. Kai Bright racked his brains, suddenly a seemingly impossible thought popped up: "You couldn’t be jealous because your goddess was stunned by my looks, could you?"

As soon as Kai finished speaking, he immediately felt Charles’s gaze, sharp like an icy blade, sweep over him, making him shiver, and the black lines on his head almost solidified.

Jealous over this?

"Dude... are you actually a puffer fish?"

This small matter makes him puff up, his temper is really something!

Charles’s gaze instantly turned cold. Kai Bright immediately raised both hands: "Dude, can’t I admit I’m wrong already?"

"You know, your goddess must like someone like you. A person like me obviously isn’t genuine, how could she possibly like me, right?" For his own safety, Kai Bright belittled himself without limits.

Charles nodded after he finished speaking: "Yeah."

Kai Bright was speechless, Charles actually agreed so seriously!

So frustrating!

But, he couldn’t win in a fight, so he had to hold it in.

Cry...

Charles didn’t care about Kai Bright who wanted to find a piece of tofu to knock himself to death, time waits for no one, and Sophie needs to eat.

Sophie Wilson sat at the dining table, looked at Kai Bright who entered dispirited, and glanced at Charles Seymour in confusion. What happened to him?

Charles seemed like he didn’t notice, sat down, and said to Sophie Wilson, "Let’s eat."

"Charles, that’s not right. It’s my first time meeting ’Sis,’ shouldn’t you introduce us?" Kai Bright raised his head, putting on a cheerful face, as if the previous lack of energy was just a figment of Sophie Wilson’s imagination.

"This is Sophie Wilson." Charles’s voice was as cold as ever, but those who knew him well could clearly tell he was in a good mood.

Sophie Wilson: "..."

Kai Bright: "..."

The two people meeting for the first time reached a consensus in their minds in silence—what a repressed show-off!

"Kai Bright, a friend of mine." Charles introduced to Sophie Wilson.

Kai Bright immediately put on a charming and debonair smile.

"He usually has a lot of women around him." Charles’s cold words instantly froze Kai Bright’s charming smile on his face, cracking with a click.

What did Charles mean by adding that?

Since when did Charles have so much to say?

Sophie Wilson, equally puzzled, looked at Charles Seymour, what did he mean by this?

Receiving Sophie Wilson’s gaze, Charles explained: "He just has a lot of admirers, with all kinds of women constantly around him."

Kai Bright: "..."

Really, he really didn’t need to explain.
