Chapter 214: Chapter 195: Liu Xiaole Spits Out Food

Mrs. Leng saw the two sisters-in-law whispering happily together and felt pleased. She thought of checking the kitchen to see how the family nanny was doing with the meal, and Li Si quickly got up to join her.

After they left, Leng Ning’s eyes flickered as she remembered something. She glanced at the kitchen and said quietly, "Brother, the other day when Sisi and I went shopping, we ran into Qian Rouxuan!"

The warmth in Leng Mochen’s eyes vanished as he looked at her sharply, "Who?"

"Brother, come on! It’s your ex-girlfriend! But she was with a child, so I guess she’s married with kids. You shouldn’t be thinking about her anymore!"

Honestly, when she ran into her, anger outweighed shock. After all, her brother had been looking for her for years when she left, then he fell into a slump, and after an accident, he woke up with no memories.

It wasn’t easy for him to be with Li Si, so she didn’t want anyone coming to mess things up.

Leng Ning went on, oblivious to Leng Mochen’s gradually darkening expression.

"Don’t let Sisi know about this!" he ordered coldly.

"Of course not! I’m not stupid! Brother, honestly, I think Sisi is the best match for you!" Leng Ning waved her hand.

Li Si was bringing over a fruit plate cut by the nanny and overheard the end of their conversation, so she joked, "What are you two talking about? You’re not badmouthing me, right?"

"Of course not! Sister-in-law, how did you know I wanted fruit! You’re just too nice!!" Leng Ning hurriedly covered up.

"Really?" Li Si obviously didn’t believe it. She looked at Leng Mochen, who reassured her with a smile.

After dinner, Leng Ning pestered Li Si to go shopping with her, leaving Leng Mochen to reluctantly be their driver.

It was then that they learned Leng Ning’s long-time crush, a senior, suddenly confessed to her a few days ago, and she agreed to date him on the spot.

Li Si exclaimed at her luck and how things turned out as she wished. Leng Ning, blushing, said that if things went well, she’d lock him down and have a flash marriage, making Li Si laugh out loud.

Meanwhile, Qian Rouxuan, the one mentioned by the Leng siblings, was in a hotel suite, wrapped in a white bath towel, her slender legs exposed, the towel barely covering her hips.

She walked towards the bed where a well-dressed man watched her with interest.

With sultry eyes, Qian Rouxuan could hardly bear his gaze and teased, "Why are you looking at me like that? I’m getting embarrassed!"

Before she finished speaking, the man, moving like a leopard, tore off her towel and pinned her underneath, grinning mischievously, "Embarrassed? I don’t believe you! Let me do something to make you even more embarrassed! Slut, you’ve missed me these years, haven’t you?"

Qian Rouxuan submitted to his playful torment, and soon the room was filled with the sound of splashing water...

On Monday, Li Si went to school for classes. In the large classroom, when she encountered Liu Xiaole, she had already regained her usual optimism and liveliness.

Just as the teacher was lecturing, she whispered to Li Si that she would never be a bridesmaid or whatever, her mother fully supporting her, although her father seemed hesitant to give advice.

At noon, the two went to the cafeteria. After eating meat for days, it was time for some vegetables.

Li Si took two vegetarian dishes and 200g of rice, Liu Xiaole got the same. They found a seat by the window and had just sat down when Ling Wei and Du Juan came over with their trays.

"Ah! Finally found a spot! Liu Xiaole, Li Si, what a surprise! Seeing you here! Didn’t you both disdain coming here?" Du Juan wiped the wooden bench across from them enthusiastically for Ling Wei to sit.

Ling Wei covertly watched Li Si’s actions, secretly shooting her a glare.

Unfortunately, Li Si swallowed her food and raised her eyes just in time to meet hers. Ling Wei’s expression froze mid-smile, amusing Liu Xiaole.

"I mean, we can eat wherever, right? Can’t we change it up?"

"Xiaole, I didn’t mean anything by it, just casually asked," Du Juan sensed Liu Xiaole’s mood wasn’t great, and she didn’t dare to say anything else.

Ling Wei elegantly picked up some greens, took a couple of bites, and then put her chopsticks down.

"Li Si, that wasn’t nice, you know. The other day, Du Juan saw you at the cinema! She mentioned a get-together with our dorm, and you didn’t agree! That’s so rude. What? Scared your boyfriend doesn’t want to meet people?"
