RE: The Extra's Dominance
Chapter 97 - Good Luck

Chapter 97: 97 - Good Luck

(Ruby’s POV)

"That was a good show."

I said to Raven as he walked up beside me after finishing his conversation with Luke and Kendy.

"Yeah, I think so too."

He replied to me with a small smirk.

Still calm. Still confident. Typical Raven.

"Good job."

Keara, standing with us, stepped forward and handed Raven a towel. Her tone was gentle, but her intent was clear.

The towel was for the blood all over Raven’s body.

"Thanks, Keara."

Raven took it with a rare, genuine smile.

He could’ve used magic to clean himself, but since Keara made the effort to give it to him, he didn’t. He chose to use the towel instead.

’He’s too easy to read...’

I thought as I watched him dab the blood off his face.

-Your mastery in electrical magics is getting better...

Then a soft, cute voice came from the inner pocket of my black coat.

It was Levina.

"Well, that’s thanks to you."

Raven casually replied to her, unfazed.

Kendy, who was nearby, glanced in our direction with a confused expression. But thanks to the artifact I gave Levina—which suppresses her presence and makes her voice only audible to people she chooses—he couldn’t detect her.

She still whispered anyway. Just to be safe.

"Anyway, Ruby..."

Raven turned to me, his voice a little tense.

"Are you done with the things I requested...?"

His confident aura from earlier while talking to Kendy and Luke? Completely gone.

His voice was nervous. His shoulders slightly stiff.

Raven always creates well-thought-out plans. Usually with one or two backup options. But even so, he still worries a lot.

And honestly?

’I think that part of him is kind of cute.’

Moving on, with a teasing smile, I answered—

"Don’t worry. Everything is done."

The relief on his face was immediate. Like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.

"Then with this... even the issue about Sean’s and the others’ families is gonna be settled."

He mumbled, almost to himself.

And I couldn’t help but agree.

Because the things Raven asked me to do weren’t simple.

First, gather evidence of the crimes committed by Sean’s group.

Second, dig up dirt—real, legal dirt—on their families: every corruption, every cover-up, every abuse of power.

And third...

’Expose all of it to the world.’

He didn’t want revenge through violence or silent manipulation.

He wanted justice—loud, public, inescapable justice.

I normally wouldn’t take on something this massive if it wasn’t him who asked me.

Also, when Raven asked me those...

His eyes were cold.

His voice, filled with rage.

He wasn’t acting bored, lazy, or indifferent like usual. He was serious. Focused. Determined.

It made me want to help him.

So I did. I used all my resources. I mobilized my subordinates.

And now...

"The whole Human Domain is in great chaos..."

Raven said aloud while looking at his phone.

Screens were filled with broadcasts, news flashes, and millions of comments. People were screaming for justice. Demanding punishment from the [Heroes Federation].

"Well, after what you’ve shown them, it’s normal for them to be in chaos."

I replied with a shrug.

"It’s all part of the plan."

Raven muttered, calm.

"A week at most. Everything will end by then."

He added, and for a moment, I saw it—

That little flash of satisfaction on his face.

The kind of expression that only shows up when everything is finally going the way he wants it to.

"Anyway..."

He shifted the conversation and pointed at the group of students who had been part of his test team.

They were all standing nearby, perfectly lined up like trained soldiers. Their postures rigid. Faces serious.

"What’s with them?"

I asked, honestly confused.

Raven looked at them for a moment, then sighed and shrugged.

"To be honest, I don’t know either. And I don’t care anymore."

He turned to them and spoke flatly.

"Dismiss. You all should rest."

"YES, SIR!"

They replied in perfect unison.

Their voices echoed throughout the field.

Every head turned. Students stared. Teachers blinked.

But no one said anything.

Kendy, Luke, and the others didn’t even comment. Probably because they knew that trying to understand Raven’s group was a waste of energy.

As for me, Keara, and Levina?

We were too busy holding back our laughter.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Raven’s group started walking proudly toward the spectating area, heads held high like war heroes.

"Seriously... what’s with them?"

I muttered with a dumbfounded smile.

"Haaa..."

Raven sighed heavily and looked at me.

"I’m going back to the dorm to rest. Please excuse me to the others."

He said, clearly tired.

"Are you sure? Don’t you want to see who wins the next match? Your friends are participating."

"That’s right. Aren’t you worried?"

Keara added.

"Worried?"

Raven chuckled softly.

Then he turned his gaze to the [Class B-1] students in [SET 2].

He looked at them for a few seconds... and then looked back at us.

"Alec can take care of all of them alone."

He said with absolute confidence.

"I’ll just watch the match later."

He added.

Then, turning to Keara;

"Also, please take care of Yuki for a while."

He mumbled that.

-Kyuuu...

Yuki made a soft, disappointed sound, but she obediently let Raven hand her over.

She looked like she wanted to protest, but she knew Raven needed rest. So she didn’t argue.

"Then... I’ll be leaving."

Tap. Tap. Tap.

And just like that, Raven left.

*****

(Raven’s POV)

I was heading back to the dorm when I noticed some familiar faces watching me from the spectating area.

Blake and the others.

Their expressions were complicated. Clearly, they had a mountain of questions.

But I wasn’t in the mood.

I was tired. Mentally drained. Physically sore.

So I stopped walking for just a moment... opened my mouth slightly...

’Good luck.’

And mouthed those words to them.

Then, as if on reflex, I tried to smile.

But somehow, it came out as a smirk.

A very provocative one.

Instantly—

Curtis flipped me off with his middle finger and shouted something obscene.

Eve’s glare could’ve killed me if it had magic attached to it.

Blake, Adelle, and Alec were laughing awkwardly, though their eyes showed they were fired up.

And Aoi? She was trying to calm Curtis down while glaring daggers at me for starting the mess.

It was clear.

They all got provoked.

"For fuck’s sake, it’s just a misunderstanding..."

I mumbled under my breath.

[Well, you can’t blame them. Even I thought you were provoking them.]

Sariel’s voice echoed inside me as he appeared.

"Well... yeah. It’s partly my fault."

I admitted, sighing as I looked back at them one more time.

"Aaah, screw it. I don’t care anymore. I don’t want to explain anything to them."

I muttered and resumed walking toward the exit.

Little did I know...

A pretty shocking piece of news was waiting for me soon after.

*****

’Good luck.’

Alec, Blake, Curtis, Eve, Adelle, and Aoi— They couldn’t forget Raven’s words.

His smirk as he mouthed those words to them, it was imprinted in their minds.

"That bitch..."

Curtis mumbled in an annoyed tone. He had just calmed down because of Eve being there.

"I’ll show you that I can do better."

He added. And the others just silently agreed with him, not saying anything.

Raven’s prowess, abilities, and skills—

All of them were amazing and surprising to Curtis and the others.

Even Raven’s brutality... And the fact that he revealed Sean’s and his group’s crimes to the world.

Nobody expected it. It was real shockers even to them who had spent quite some time with Raven.

But because of the provocation they just received from him...

Eve and the others forgot about all that, and only focused on finishing the test much faster than Raven.

The test hasn’t even started yet and they already want to end it!

...

...

And finally, after 30 minutes of waiting...

Because someone just caused a huge mess—

[There was, umm... a very big scene in the first set, but we already fixed all the issues.]

(Not really.)

[Please, all participants of <SET 2>, get ready to enter the portal.]

Luke finally announced the start of the 2nd set of the test.

Alec and the others had been waiting for that moment.

So with determined look on their faces, they all started to prepare for the match.

"I don’t care what you guys want to do, but I’m gonna finish the test as soon as I can."

Eve declared, which was surprising for the group.

"I’ll follow and protect you."

Curtis shamelessly replied.

"I don’t have any plans to prolong the fight at all."

And Aoi followed.

"I have the same idea."

"I’ll attack them as soon as I see them."

Blake and Adelle consecutively replied.

And lastly...

"I feel quite sorry for our opponents."

"But I’m with you guys."

Alec stated.

For the first time, The group—who had different personalities—agreed on one thing.

Because of one single fucker.

...

....

The test started not long after that.

Alec and the others produced a result that no other student or student group in Lunar could ever achieve.
