Re-Overlord: I Can Acquire Anything!
Chapter 168: Two Hearts Becoming One

Chapter 168: Two Hearts Becoming One

When Igaris emerged from his seclusion, barely a single day had passed in the real world.

The effectiveness of the Space-Time Domain was undeniable. What felt like weeks of cultivation had happened in the blink of an eye for everyone else.

Yet the Domain was far from simple. It was more than just a tool to stretch time. In his hands, it had become a trump card—one that could alter the pace of battle, seal enemies in warped flows, or grant him the precious edge of preparation before chaos struck.

As he walked through the polished hallways of the Vance Estate, his steps were measured. Every movement carried terrifying strength, enough that an unrestrained stride might have crushed the marble beneath him like dry leaves.

He had become an Apex Mortal Lifeform.

A realm where the body, soul, and will aligned at the peak of mortal existence. Fewer than one in million World Divers ever reached this level, and fewer still survived long after claiming it.

Despite his flawless control, those stationed in the corridors could feel the shift in atmosphere as he passed.

An invisible force rolled off him like the pressure of a mountain, brushing against them and making it difficult to breathe.

The guards, armored and trained, found their backs drenched in sweat as their eyes widened. Shock and reverence mixed in their expressions.

One by one, they bowed the moment he passed.

None dared to speak. None dared to raise their heads.

They all understood instinctively. The man before them was no longer just their ruler—he was a godly force.

A single glance from him felt like judgment.

And even though his face was calm, even though he said nothing at all, his presence etched fear into the marrow of their bones.

Igaris paused in front of one of the grand chambers.

The door was shut, but the walls of this estate could not block his senses. His gaze, sharpened beyond mortal limits, pierced through the material as if it were mist.

Inside, Shirley sat before an ornate mirror, combing her long fiery golden hair with gentle strokes. The room was lit by a soft glow, reflected from gemstone lanterns lining the walls, casting her figure in a dreamlike shimmer.

She wore a fiery red dress, its silky fabric clinging to her form. The cut was bold, revealing the gentle curves of her stomach and the delicate dip of her belly button. The ensemble was elegant, yet daring, fluttering around her thighs as if ignited by her own warmth.

Her beauty had always been remarkable, but now there was something different.

She no longer looked like an ordinary girl staying under someone’s shadow.

She looked like a woman—a temptress born from fire and strength. The enchantress of Overlord’s Empire.

Igaris watched for a moment, unmoving.

Not with lust, but with a quiet, strange emotion. A sense of weight that clung to his chest.

He remembered how, in the past, she had struggled just to win a place in his heart.

How she followed him, defied expectations, and stood beside him through chaos.

Her stubbornness. Her soft nature. The way she looked at him even when he was cold to her. All of it had lit a strange fire in him—a blend of yearning and a deep, protective urge.

"I won’t let anyone take you away from me."

He muttered under his breath.

And then, he pushed open the door.

The heavy wooden panels groaned softly as they parted, revealing Shirley in the mirror. Her red lips curved into a slow, knowing smile, as if she had already sensed who it was.

Her brush paused mid-stroke, and her heartbeat quickened the moment their eyes met.

The door closed behind him, sealing the space in a hushed, heated silence.

"I-Igaris, why did you close the door?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly. Her fingers clutched the edge of the vanity as a strange tingle coursed through her. She already had an idea of what was coming, but asking it out loud made her heart beat even faster.

Igaris stepped closer, his golden eyes locked on her reflection.

"You already forget what you said back in the Martial Sanctuary, Shirley?"

He reached out and gently tilted her chin up, his lips drawing into a wolfish grin.

"I’m here to eat you up."

The room turned still.

Shirley swallowed hard, her breath catching. Her cheeks flushed, and her thighs subtly pressed together under the weight of his gaze.

She didn’t answer.

She didn’t need to.

Instead of answering, Shirley slowly stood up from the stool, her back still turned to him.

Igaris stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her from behind, one hand gently resting on her smooth, warm stomach. Another one on her neck. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

She felt his breath brush across her neck, hot and slow, as he inhaled her floral scent—soft, sweet, and tinged with the mysterious allure only she possessed.

Very soon, the space between their bodies vanished. His heat soaked into her skin, making her heart race and her body tremble with anticipation.

They stayed like that for a few long seconds, wrapped in wamth and peace, letting the moment stretch and deepen.

Then, with careful hands, Igaris turned her around to face him.

Her eyes were closed, her lips slightly parted, like a flower ready to bloom.

And then it happened.

He leaned in and kissed her.

Gently at first.

Their lips met, soft and warm. Shirley wrapped her arms around his back, pulling him closer as her breath caught in her throat.

"Open your eyes, Shirley," Igaris whispered softly as he drew back slightly.

She slowly opened them, revealing shimmering eyes that now held only one reflection—his. Her gaze was filled with raw longing and devotion.

Without hesitation, she took the initiative by leaning foward to kiss him, more fiercely this time. Her lips moved urgently, and her sweet tongue slipped into his mouth, exploring boldly.

The kiss deepened.

Wet, heated sounds filled the air as their tongues danced, each refusing to yield in a sensual battle for dominance.

The world around them faded.

Before long, they had rolled onto the king-sized bed behind them, limbs tangled, breath heavy, hearts pounding.

Their hands explored, slowly but surely removing each layer of cloth, revealing the warmth of bare skin beneath.

Her creamy white body filled with captivating features made his heart beat faster.

Desire took over within both of them.

And at last, Shirley’s soft moan broke the silence, one of pain—but only for a fleeting moment. It soon melted into gasps of pleasure.

The night belonged to them.

A night of passion, fire, and the unspoken promise of eternity.u
