Re-Overlord: I Can Acquire Anything! -
Chapter 166: To Guava City.
Chapter 166: To Guava City.
Igaris sneered at their pitiful display.
"You think your pleas will stop me?" he said, his voice cold as ice. "After everything you did to me, death is too kind for the likes of you."
His eyes, black as the abyss, bore into their souls. Just meeting his gaze made both Adrian and Lucius shudder uncontrollably.
Before they could utter another word, Igaris raised his fingers and lightly tapped their foreheads.
"Ahhhh!"
Instantly agonized screams erupted from their mouths as the power of Soul Eclipse flooded into them. The chaotic energy ravaged their souls, tearing through their essence like wildfire through dry leaves.
Their eyes bulged in horror, veins pulsing in their necks. Their fingers dug deep into the wooden armrests of the chairs as their bodies convulsed under the weight of the torment.
"You will suffer until you die," Igaris whispered, his voice calm but laced with wrath.
Aluna and Daisy watched, covering their ears as the screams pierced the room. Yet their expressions remained cold, devoid of sympathy. There was only a quiet understanding in their eyes as if this was justice.
In the end, Adrian and Lucius both died with white foam coming out their mouth.
With the fate of Adrian and Lucius sealed, and the lingering ghosts of the past silenced, Igaris stepped out into the morning light. The crimson banners bearing the symbol of Overlord fluttered across the city. But his ambition had not yet been satisfied.
His next destination stood clear before him: Guava City, the ancestral land of house Vance and capital domain of the Four Great Houses. A city once filled with pride, decadence, and cruelty. The place that once spat on the Vance family’s name.
Now it was time to carve that name into its walls with fire, steel, and the will of conquest.
"Prepare the troops. We march at dawn," Igaris ordered calmly, his voice carrying through the courtyard like thunder disguised in silk.
Within hours, his forces had been assembled. The army stood vast and terrifying. About 30,000 hardened soldiers of the Overlord’s banner. Monsters, mechas, undead, beasts, and humans all stood in unified silence. Behind them assembled the crimson tide of the Rebel Alliance, led by Iskarth Vance and an old man.
Above them, Serynthia soared with burning wings, while Mountain King stomped along the rear, each step like a tremor through the earth.
Shirley, now fully awakened as a Heavenly Enchantress, led a division of spiritual cultivators who harnessed charm and soul energy to devastate minds and crush willpower. Evernight stood beside her, cloaked in flowing black robes, her divine and demonic powers balanced on the edge of destruction.
Commander Malthius marched at the front with the undead battalion behind him, dark energy rising from their bones like fog rolling from a cursed battlefield.
As the sun reached its peak, the great army began its march.
Rumble! Rumble!
Roads cracked beneath their feet. Forests trembled as beasts fled their path. Villagers locked their doors, praying to any god who would listen.
The Overlord had begun his next conquest. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Guava City sat on the horizon. Its towering walls, once thought impenetrable, now looked like nothing more than the outer shell of a dying beast.
"Ohh, F*ck me!"
Soldiers on its ramparts stared in disbelief at the monstrous procession heading their way.
Inside the city, nobles of the Four Great Houses panicked. With their leaders captured or executed, what remained were weak heirs and half-trained defenders.
They never expected vengeance would come so swiftly. So decisively.
And above all, so gloriously. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

As Igaris’s forces drew near, the atmosphere inside Guava City turned suffocating.
The civilians whispered in dread. The streets emptied. Flags of the Four Great Houses were pulled down in silence, replaced by pale cloths of surrender on rooftops and balconies.
In the central estate, where the nobles and remaining council members gathered in desperation, a heated discussion erupted.
"We cannot defend this city," muttered Duke Ralven of House Merivon, one of the few remaining noble families not completely aligned with the now-defeated Four Houses. "We must face the truth. That monster has returned, and his father walks beside him like a war god."
"Are you saying we bow our heads to the very family we helped to destroy?" shouted a gray-haired noble with trembling fists.
"Do you want to die with a sword through your gut and your name burned off the records?" Ralven snapped. "We are nobles, not fools."
"Then are you suggesting we should surrender? Even knowing that the Skadi Empire’s army might arrive at our doorstep soon? What will you do then?"
"What other choice do we have?" the other man snapped, his voice tight with frustration. "We are caught between a blade and a cliff. We can only gamble on him. And If we don’t surrender, that monster will slaughter us all just like he did the leaders of the Four Great Houses."
An uneasy silence followed.
Finally, one of the younger nobles stepped forward, a scroll in hand.
"I will go," he said quietly. "Let me offer the city’s surrender. If this Igaris truly seeks to build an empire, he will need people to rule. And we still have value."
Within the hour, a white carriage bearing the insignia of peace emerged from the main gate of Guava City.
Igaris and his army had already stopped just a few miles outside, their camp established with frightening discipline. Banners with the sigil of House Vance and the Overlord’s Empire waved in unison. At the center of it all, Igaris sat on a throne made of black stone, conjured from the ground itself.
The noble ambassador stepped forward with trembling steps.
"I am Lord Elmon of House Merivon," he announced. "I bring no weapons, only an offer."
Igaris did not rise from his seat.
"Speak," he said, his voice carrying the weight of judgment.
"We of Guava City recognize your conquest. We acknowledge your power, your vision. And we surrender the city, unconditionally."
Silence settled in. Every soldier in the area froze, awaiting their Lord’s response.
Shirley leaned forward, but said nothing.
Evernight smiled faintly, amused by how quickly human bent their knees when faced with true power.
"You are wise," Igaris finally said. "Guava City will be spared. But every official tied to the Four Houses will be brought before me. Their fates will be judged by their crimes."
Lord Elmon bowed so deeply his forehead touched the grass.
"As you command, Overlord."
