Re-Overlord: I Can Acquire Anything!
Chapter 163: Unstoppable Army

Chapter 163: Unstoppable Army

Rumble! Rumble!

The sky was no longer peaceful. Lightning clashed with golden radiance. A fierce wind tore through the battlefield.

Floating calmly between his enemies, Igaris spoke with quiet determination.

"Finished preparing? Good. Now I will show you why I do not fear even the heavens."

His hands moved in slow, deliberate gestures.

The skies dimmed. The light around them drained away, consumed by a shadow that radiated from his chest outward. A great wheel appeared behind him, glowing with eclipsed black and white light. It spun slowly, yet every revolution seemed to shake the air with pressure and authority.

"HYYAHHH!"

With battle cries, the two enemies struck at once.

The bald one dove with his reconstructed halberd, wreathed in burning divine fire.

The masked man launched a thousand golden needles of condensed spatial energy that bent gravity and space.

In response, Igaris slashed horizontally with his blade.

[ Godslayer Sword Style: 4th Form — Void Severance ]

A blade of pure void cleaved forth from his sword, silent and unstoppable.

It cut the halberd in half again. Then it tore through the needles as if slicing through cloth.

Then it reached the jade-masked man.

The masked man appeared surprised as he raised all his shields at once, forming twenty overlapping barriers.

But all of them were erased in a blink.

"ARGHHH!"

He screamed, a sound lost in the wind, as the blade tore through his side and sent him hurtling down to the ground below, coughing blood violently.

The bald man tried to retreat, panic finally setting in. He began to chant another forbidden spell.

[ Phantom Shift ]

But Igaris appeared behind him without warning.

"Too slow," Igaris whispered.

With a single motion, he placed his hand on the man’s head.

[ Yin-Yang Reversal: Reverse Life ]

The man’s body began to convulse violently. His spiritual core shriveled, and his flesh began to decay. He roared in pain, but Igaris showed no pity.

The light in the bald man’s eyes faded. His body crumbled mid-air, a pile of ash before it hit the ground.

One Mythical down. The other bleeding and retreating.

Below, the enemy troops began to panic.

"What just happened?"

"General... General Mikal is dead!"

"Impossible! He was Mythical Rank!"

Evernight’s eyes sparkled with delight. "Now they know what real power is. But he had gotten a lot stronger than before. Can I even catch upto at this point?"

Shirley stood beside her, golden hair flowing in the stormy wind. Her fingers played with flames and illusions.

Commander Malthius, watched from the battlefield below.

"My Lord using my Sword Style better than me." he mused silently,"But I can’t let that continue. They will know why I was once called as the God slayer."

He lifted his sword and shouted with all the force in his undead lungs.

"The Overlord has spoken. Show no mercy!"

"ROAAAR!"

The monster army roared in answer.

And just like that, the battle tide began to shift again.

---

The battlefield was soaked in crimson.

Once a pristine shore of Stargaze City, now it had turned into a land of steel and death.

The enemy forces had been overwhelming at first, with 151,000 soldiers and 151 battleships descending like an unstoppable tide. Against them stood Igaris’ 41,000 warriors, a force cobbled together from monsters, machines, undead, prisoners, and loyal elites.

But now, the current numbers told a different story.

From 151,000, only around 90,000 enemy troops remained.

And from Igaris’ army, 35,000 still stood strong.

The loss was undeniable, but the price had been far heavier on the enemy’s side. The sea had turned a dark shade of red, littered with shattered wood, twisted metal, and tens of thousands of lifeless bodies drifting like fallen leaves.

The roar of battle began to quiet as fatigue settled into the bones of both sides.

Then, just as the first light of morning broke through the mist-filled horizon, a new rumble echoed across the battlefield.

"YAHHHH!"

It was deep, thunderous, and filled with unrestrained fury.

From the south, piercing the skies like a blade of defiance, came another fleet. Only this time, the banners were not of Skadi Empire or the Four Houses.

They bore the symbol of rebellion. A Lion.

Dozens of large flying ships and war beasts appeared on the horizon, charging with reckless joy. Leading them was a tall, broad-shouldered man with hair of abyss and eyes of storm. His aura radiated dominance.

It was Igaris’ father. fr\eewebno vel .c(o)m

The long-dead rebel leader who once struck fear into the hearts of tyrants.

With him came nearly 50,000 seasoned World Divers, all carrying battle scars and old grudges. These were warriors who had once been hunted, exiled, or imprisoned for resisting the Empire. Now, they had returned.

Their battle cries pierced the air like thunderbolts.

"TO WAR!"

"FOR FREEDOM!"

"FOR BLOOD AND VICTORY!"

"DEMOLISH THE FOUR HOUSES!"

Their roars carried across the sea and land, energizing the exhausted defenders and shaking the hearts of the enemy.

The moment they descended from their ships and warbeasts, their blades flashed with unrelenting fury. These rebels fought like men possessed, their frustration from years of hiding and shackles now unleashed with righteous vengeance.

And with the arrival of the Rebel Army, the tide of war shifted like a collapsing cliff.

The battlefield trembled as thousands of hardened veterans surged forward, their fury igniting the flames of vengeance. The enemy lines, once proud and unrelenting, began to crumble like dry leaves in a storm. Bodies were flung through the air. Screams drowned in fire and steel. Blood soaked the earth until even the sea turned crimson.

From atop the largest battleship of the enemy fleet, the heads of the Four Houses stood gathered, their faces stiff with disbelief.

Dominic Ecrox clenched the railing with pale knuckles, his eyes locked on the man hovering over the southern formation. His black cloak danced in the wind, black hair reflecting the rising sun like a blade of divine wrath.

"That face..." Dominic’s voice trembled with rage and disbelief. "No... that’s impossible. That is Iskarth Vance. I killed him. I drove my sword through his heart with my own hands!"

Zeref Woodinson, usually calm and unreadable, now wore a grim frown. "Yes. We all saw him fall too."

"Yet he stands again," muttered the leader of House Vermal, his brows soaked in sweat. "Alive. Leading a force we never expected."

The head of House Brown gritted his teeth. "This cannot be allowed to continue. That man... he was called the Spear of Calamity for a reason. If we stay here any longer, none of us will leave alive."

Dominic nodded with clenched teeth. "Withdraw. Now. Inform His Majesty at once. This... this is no longer a battle we can win."

Across the deck, Adrian Ecrox stood frozen, unable to speak. His lips were pale, his eyes wide with dread.

Lucius Vermal beside him was no better. He had dropped his weapon. His hands trembled uncontrollably.

"Igaris... he has become something else entirely," Adrian muttered, his voice hollow. "He is no longer someone we can challenge. I am so weak... Why?"

Lucius swallowed hard. "We have to run. If we stay even a second longer, we’re dead."

Behind them, the horns of retreat began to blow.

But it was already too late for many.

The song of vengeance had been rang.

And no one escaped the storm once it began to roar.
