Surrounded by Amelia Linton and Miss Gui, Lily Turner sat on the sofa, trying to mask her fear. She looked up at Amelia calmly, waiting for her to provide an explanation.

Amelia didn’t keep Lily waiting for long and didn’t disappoint her either. She raised the pill in her hand in front of Lily, "The morning-after pill! You must not be unfamiliar with this kind of medication."

"You don’t need to fear her; she won’t be Easton’s wife for much longer." Amelia mistook Miss Gui’s trepidation as respect for Lily’s status, not realizing her fear was due to Easton.

These words made Miss Gui doubtful and left Lily feeling puzzled and surprised. Both of them turned to look at Amelia, their expressions varied.

"Why are you both staring at me like that? Did I say anything wrong?" Amelia glared at both Lily and Miss Gui, and then shouted sternly at Miss Gui, "What are you standing there for? Hurry and feed her the pill!"

After speaking, she gave Miss Gui a shove, urging her to quickly give the medicine.

Miss Gui was still afraid, but with Amelia pressuring her, she felt trapped.

Being repeatedly pushed by Amelia, Miss Gui realized she couldn’t avoid the task today. She took the pill out of the box, closed her eyes, and held it up to Lily’s lips.

With that, she put the pill into her mouth.

Amelia suspected Lily was trying to deceive her and demanded she open her mouth to verify. She wouldn’t feel at ease until she saw Lily swallow the pill herself.
