Chapter 221: Chapter 221: I Have Always Been Well-Behaved, Okay?
Evelyn Taylor was not afraid of her parents, but strangely, she had been afraid of her brother Ryan Taylor since childhood, probably because Ryan had been strict with her all her life.
Easton Holmes, who had grown up playing with the Taylor siblings, was well aware of this. However, over the years, he had never used Ryan to scare Evelyn until today.
"Easton! You’re using my brother to scare me for that woman?! Who exactly is that woman..."
"That woman is my wife."
Before Evelyn could finish, Easton interrupted her bluntly, "You better show her some respect in the future. Also, don’t go looking for Ms. Li anymore, or I’ll act as if you’re not my sister."
"Easton! You can’t do this to me."
Lily Turner! You actually tattled on me; I’m not done with you. Evelyn bit her lip in frustration, but when she remembered what Easton had just said, she couldn’t help but sigh.
Through the phone, Easton heard the sigh on the other end, but he chose to ignore it, "I hope you remain the obedient sister."
He emphasized "obedient sister" to make sure the person on the other end took it to heart.
"Easton! I’ve always been obedient, okay?" Evelyn realized that the emphasis in Easton’s words was not on being obedient but on being his sister.
"I don’t want to be your sister forever." She paused and shouted into the phone.
"Since you don’t want to be my sister forever, I have nothing more to say to you." Easton was well aware of Evelyn’s feelings and had always subtly or overtly emphasized in front of her that he only saw her as a sister.
However, it seemed she didn’t understand his point, as she clung to him more than ever, especially recently.
Before Evelyn could say anything else, Easton hung up the phone. After hanging up, he deleted all the multimedia messages and texts she had sent, and then he left the room.
When Lily Turner came out after her shower, she didn’t see Easton’s shadow in the room. She furrowed her brows in confusion but soon walked over to the sofa.
Just as she sat down on the sofa, she heard a buzzing sound. She followed the sound and saw the phone Easton had thrown on the sofa.
Driven by curiosity, she picked up the buzzing phone, and as she did, she saw the name Evelyn Taylor.
After staring at the phone for a moment, Lily put it back in its place, then got up and sat on the other side of the sofa, away from the phone.
The phone stopped buzzing after a while but soon started buzzing again.
Lily instinctively leaned over to take a look, but because of the distance, she couldn’t even see the edge of the phone.
However, she had a strong premonition that it was once again a call from Evelyn, so she chose to ignore it.
But the phone rang again and again, and she got tired of it, but the woman on the other end relentlessly dialed.
That woman was really persistent!
Lily couldn’t stand it anymore, so she got up, walked over, and bent down to pick up the phone buzzing incessantly on the sofa.
Sure enough, it was another call from that woman. She hesitated for a moment, then answered the call from Evelyn.
