Chapter 218: Chapter 218: There’s Still Someone Breathing Here
Worried about being recognized, Easton Holmes, Lily Turner, and Grant Heath found a relatively secluded corner and sat down.
After everything that happened in the afternoon, Lily Turner wasn’t in the mood to eat. She only ordered a simple bowl of porridge and even drank it without enthusiasm.
"It’ll taste better with this."
Seeing Lily Turner slowly sipping her porridge, Easton Holmes placed a soup dumpling on the small plate in front of her.
Lily Turner glanced at the soup dumpling just placed on her small plate, then pushed the plate back to Easton Holmes, "I don’t want to eat this."
Not to mention that she wasn’t in the mood to eat; even if she was, she wouldn’t eat a soup dumpling, especially at this late hour. Eating it would definitely make her gain weight.
"Then eat this. It’s not greasy and won’t make you gain weight." Easton Holmes picked up a small steamed bun with his chopsticks. This time, he didn’t place it on Lily Turner’s small plate but directly held it up to her lips, "Open your mouth!"
"I..."
Just as Lily Turner opened her mouth to refuse, Easton Holmes stuffed half of the steamed bun into her mouth and didn’t let go to prevent her from spitting it out.
Even though Easton Holmes didn’t use much force, it was enough to stop Lily Turner from pushing the small bun away from her mouth. With a mix of anger and amusement, she glared at him.
"Don’t glare while eating, it’s bad for your appetite." Easton Holmes lifted his other hand and waved it in front of Lily Turner’s eyes. The sudden wave made her blink instinctively.
Seeing what had happened, Easton Holmes chuckled, "Good girl!"
While praising her, he even patted her head.
Good girl?!
What did he take her for, a pet?
Lily Turner raised her hand and slapped Easton Holmes, but with her mouth stuffed with the small bun, she couldn’t open it to scold him.
Their playful interaction, as if no one else was around, made Grant Heath, sitting across from them, feel uncomfortable. These two were actually flirting in front of him, as if he didn’t exist at all.
"Ahem! There’s still someone sitting here, you know." Unable to bear it any longer, he decided he didn’t need to keep enduring it.
Upon hearing the voice from across the table, Lily Turner shot an annoyed glance at Easton Holmes and stuffed the small bun into her mouth, then turned to look at Grant Heath sitting opposite.
As she turned, she suddenly realized she hadn’t thought of this move earlier.
Lily Turner spat out the small bun she had just stuffed into her mouth, concerned that it might affect the appetite of the other two. She wrapped the bun in a piece of paper and set it aside.
After handling all this, she finally looked up at Grant Heath, her expression a bit embarrassed, "Weren’t you hungry? Hurry up and eat something."
As she spoke, she pushed the plate with the soup dumpling towards him.
"Did you forget? I’m like you; I don’t like greasy things either." Grant Heath emphasized the words greasy things to annoy Easton Holmes, who ordered the soup dumpling.
Lily Turner might not have noticed right away, but Easton Holmes caught it immediately. However, instead of arguing back, he gave Grant Heath a meaningful look.
"Honey! Hurry up and finish your porridge so we can go home." Easton Holmes withdrew his gaze from the person across the table and tilted his head toward Lily Turner, sitting beside him, his eyes filled with deep affection and tenderness.
