Chapter 213: Chapter 213 Someone is waiting for me at the entrance of the building
As soon as Lily Turner’s voice fell, Grant Heath pushed the door open and came in. The moment he entered, he called for her to leave, "Then we can go..."
"You’re on the phone, I’ll sit here and wait for you, take your time." As he walked over, he suddenly saw she was on the phone, stopped in his tracks, and pulled out a chair beside her to sit down.
Upon hearing this, Lily suddenly remembered she was still on the phone with Easton Holmes, and her heart skipped a beat.
"We can go now."
Lily said this to both men at the same time. After speaking, she took the phone away from her ear.
This small action of Lily’s was caught by Grant, but he did not say anything. He thought she didn’t want him to know whom she was talking to, and did not dwell on it further.
Putting away the phone, Lily and Grant left the dressing room together. As they took the elevator downstairs, with each floor the elevator descended, her heart skipped a beat.
"What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"
Lily leaned silently against the wall of the elevator, her face didn’t look good, and her brows were furrowed.
Upon hearing Grant’s question, Lily slowly straightened up, "I’m not unwell, maybe I was just a bit tired earlier."
Her excuse was quite lame; it wasn’t her first time on the runway. If such events tired her out, she would’ve quit being a model long ago.
"After we have some porridge later, I’ll take you somewhere to relax." Although Lily was lying, Grant didn’t question her.
Ding!
At this moment, the elevator stopped.
"Let’s go!"
Grant took Lily by the hand and walked out of the elevator. The action was practiced and natural, without any hesitation or awkwardness.
At the moment of stepping out of the elevator, Lily instinctively glanced up at the numbers displayed above the elevator. When she saw it showed negative two, she widened her eyes in surprise.
"How did we end up on level negative two?"
She turned her head to look around and saw cars parked everywhere; only then did she realize they were in the building’s underground parking.
"My car is parked here, didn’t you park yours here too?" Seeing Lily’s expression of surprise, Grant thought her car was probably parked at the building entrance, "Call your assistant to drive yours back, I’ll give you a ride later."
"I didn’t drive today; a brother from my family brought me here." Lily freed her hand and stood her ground, "Someone is waiting for me at the building entrance, you can just text me the address later, I’ll get there myself."
With that, she turned and walked towards the elevator door.
"Is it the brother who brought you here? Why don’t you call and tell him to leave first?" Grant didn’t follow her but loudly suggested to her retreating back.
Lily didn’t turn back but only waved her hand behind her at Grant, "See you later!"
If that person could leave first, she wouldn’t be having such a headache.
Seeing Lily’s resolute attitude, with no intention of stopping or turning back, Grant didn’t say anything more to urge her; he knew he couldn’t persuade her otherwise.
Watching her walk into the elevator, he turned to find his car.
Meanwhile, Lily was tensely riding the elevator to the first floor, her hand in her pocket clenching her phone tightly.
As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she heard her phone in her pocket buzz, and she pulled it out to check.
Just as Lily anticipated, it was indeed Grant who sent over the address of the porridge shop.
