Chapter 205: Chapter 205 Forced to Lie

That’s how Ms. Gui stayed here. Although she kept her high-paying job, she wasn’t very happy about it in her heart.

On one hand, she was being coerced and enticed by her old employer, and on the other, she faced threats and warnings from her new employer. She couldn’t afford to offend either side.

With a sudden human surveillance system at home, Lily Turner found it hard to adapt for a while. If there was nothing to do, she tried to stay in her room reading instead of wandering around casually.

Because Lily Turner’s activities were mostly confined to her room, for several consecutive days, Ms. Gui had no useful information to report to Amelia Linton, which made Amelia quite unhappy.

"If she doesn’t come out, can’t you think of a way to force her out?" With no progress for several days, Amelia was a bit angry and shouted over the phone.

Ms. Gui looked troubled: "Madam! The Young Master Dalton said if I do anything bad to the Young Madam, he won’t be polite to me."

"What Young Madam? Who are you calling Young Madam?" Amelia Linton wasn’t unaware of who Ms. Gui was referring to by Young Madam. Precisely because she knew, she was so angry.

Hearing Amelia Linton angrily questioning her over the phone, Ms. Gui suddenly realized she had slipped up and quickly admitted her mistake to the person on the other end: "I’m sorry! Madam! I was wrong."

She admitted her mistake verbally, but in her heart, she was not at all convinced.

She clearly was indeed the Young Madam, yet she was forced to deny it against her conscience. She didn’t know whom she had offended.

"Don’t let me hear those three words ’Young Madam’ again."

"Yes!"

Amelia Linton had always been strong and domineering. If not for the high salary, Ms. Gui would have left the Holmes Residence long ago.

"What is that girl doing now? Still in her room reading?" Amelia Linton wasn’t concerned about anything else at this moment; she was most focused on Lily Turner, wanting to get her out of Easton Holmes’ place as soon as possible.

But several days had passed, and the only report Ms. Gui had for her was that Lily Turner was in her room reading, with no additional information.

She had thought things would proceed smoothly, but the results left her both disappointed and surprised.

Just as Ms. Gui was about to nod and say yes, she suddenly saw Lily Turner coming down the stairs and quickly lowered her voice to tell Amelia on the other end of the phone: "Miss... Miss Turner is coming downstairs, she looks like she’s going out."

She almost called out ’Young Madam’ again, but fortunately, she caught herself in time and changed her wording.

"Then go quickly ask her where she’s going? I’ll hang up." Hearing that there might be some movement, Amelia Linton didn’t say more to Ms. Gui and immediately hung up the phone.

Hearing the hung-up tone in her ear, Ms. Gui took the phone away from her ear and put it back in her pocket before striding toward Lily Turner.

"Young Madam! Are you going out?"

As Ms. Gui walked over, Lily Turner was already heading toward the door, feeling thankful in her heart that she rushed over in time.

When Ms. Gui first called her Young Madam a few days ago, Lily Turner was stunned for quite a while before realizing Ms. Gui was referring to her. Even now, she was still not quite used to the title.

But when she asked Ms. Gui to call her by name, Ms. Gui resolutely refused.

"Easton and I are going out to handle some things, we won’t be back for dinner, you can just do your own thing." The moment Ms. Gui opened her mouth, Lily Turner knew Ms. Gui’s true intention and immediately recited what she had prepared to say, without missing a word.
