Lily Turner’s response and reaction once again surprised Evelyn Taylor. Getting repeatedly provoked, she was starting to lose her cool.

"Lily Turner! Can you stop making up lies? This style of decoration happens to be Easton’s favorite." Evelyn’s words were true; the decoration of the house was entirely handled by Easton Holmes, and he did not let anyone in the family intervene.

At first, Lily thought Evelyn was deliberately trying to get under her skin, but she realized Evelyn seemed very sincere, not appearing to lie at all.

"Is this style really your brother Easton’s favorite?" She couldn’t help but glance around the environment again, noticing that it matched his temperament quite well.

"Do I need to lie to you?" Evelyn rolled her eyes in exasperation.

Lily withdrew her gaze and turned to look at Evelyn, who was sitting at a distance, and sighed before she slowly spoke, "When he told me a couple of days ago, I thought he didn’t like it. Now hearing you say this, I realize he was accommodating me."

After a pause, she continued, "Thank you! If it weren’t for you telling me, I wouldn’t have known the truth."

Seeing Lily’s reaction earlier, Evelyn thought she was exposed for lying, but unexpectedly, Lily was waiting for her here.

"No need to thank me, I didn’t do it for you." Damn it! Evelyn shouted angrily in her heart.

"I know you do it for my husband. My husband is really lucky to have a sister who truly cares for him like you." Lily deliberately emphasized the word ’sister,’ and before Evelyn could speak, she quickly added, "I also wish I had a sister like you, but unfortunately, I’m not as lucky as my husband."

"Ah! I really envy my husband."

After saying this, she didn’t forget to add an envious sigh.

When Lily started speaking, Evelyn wanted to interrupt. However, she didn’t find the opportunity to speak until Lily finished her sigh. She immediately said, "I don’t want a sister like you!"

She laughed heartily, and those sitting at a distance from her wished they could slap her twice.

This woman—is she even a woman? She can’t take care of others, so isn’t her brother Easton having a hard time every day?

"I got married so my husband could take care of me."
