"I just moved in yesterday."

Hearing how the couple addressed Easton Holmes, Lily Turner could tell that they were quite familiar with him, and the three of them likely had a good relationship.

Upon hearing this, Bella Carter nodded knowingly, "I thought so, I was wondering why I’d never seen you before."

With that said, she led the famous Lily into the living room.

"Please sit!"

"Thank you!"

After politely thanking Bella, Lily Turner sat generously on the sofa. Just as she settled down, Jaxon Dyer came over with a steaming cup of water, prompting her to quickly stand up again.

"Thank you!" she said, as she took the cup of water from him.

"You’re Easton’s friend, so you’re our friend too, no need to be formal with us."

Jaxon Dyer’s words contained a probing tone, and as he spoke, he discreetly observed Lily Turner, watching for any shifts in her mood or reactions.

Lily Turner merely smiled silently, without saying anything.

"Honey! You chat with Miss Turner, I’m heading to the Military Department." From Lily’s reaction, Jaxon Dyer keenly sensed there was something going on, and now he needed to find his partner and brother-in-arms to gossip about it.

After Jaxon left, Bella Carter scooted closer to Lily Turner and started inquiring, "When did you meet Easton?"

It must have been recently, because if they had known each other for a long time, her husband would have met her before and not just today.

"We haven’t known each other long."

Lily Turner wasn’t particularly fond of people asking about her and Easton Holmes. Their situation was too unique, and she didn’t even know how to explain it.

Upon hearing this, Bella Carter exclaimed, "You haven’t known each other long and already living together?!"

Lily Turner awkwardly smiled without uttering a word. This was indeed something difficult to explain; she really couldn’t bring herself to say the truth.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean anything by it, I was just surprised." Seeing Lily’s discomfort, Bella quickly realized she had said something inappropriate in haste and promptly tried to clarify.

Lily Turner still didn’t say anything, but silently shook her head, as if responding to Bella’s words.

"Have some water!"

Noticing the awkward tension, Bella refrained from continuing the previous topic and politely pointed at the water cup in Lily’s hand.

Lily Turner also sensed the awkwardness, so she picked up her cup and started drinking the water.

Just then, Lily’s phone in her pocket suddenly rang. Startled, she put down the cup and took out her phone from her pocket.

No matter who it was calling, she was grateful; she was grateful this person saved her from the awkward atmosphere.

"Excuse me, I need to take this call."

The call was from Easton Holmes. Lily Turner stood up and stepped aside to answer it, though her actions were a bit unnecessary, as the moment she picked up the phone, Bella Carter had already glimpsed it.

"Hello?" She answered after walking a couple of steps away.

"I asked Luke Crowe to bring you the keys. Wait in the yard."

Easton Holmes realized when he reached the Military Department to unlock his office that Lily Turner didn’t have the house keys. However, he had urgent documents from his secretary to handle, so he had to ask Luke Crowe to deliver the keys to her.
