Chapter 116: Chapter 116 You Don’t Have to Specially Explain to Me
Lily Turner’s attitude was very firm, and Easton Holmes couldn’t bring himself to refuse her. However, he wasn’t comfortable letting her, a newcomer, go alone, so he sent Luke Crowe back to the team and personally took her to the supermarket to buy some things.
"If I want to go out in the future, can I?"
On the way to the supermarket, Lily suddenly considered her coming and going. If she wanted to go out, hopefully, no one would stop her.
"You can come and go as you please here. I won’t restrict your freedom." As soon as Lily spoke, Easton understood what she meant.
Upon hearing this, Lily gave a slightly embarrassed smile: "I was just asking casually, not implying that you would restrict my freedom."
Just a moment ago, she really thought he intended to restrict her freedom. Now that she heard him say this, she felt much more at ease, but she didn’t dare speak the truth.
"I know, you don’t need to explain specially to me."
Easton raised his hand and pinched Lily’s nose, his face full of a gentle and happy smile.
Such an intimate little gesture made Lily somewhat shy, her cheeks slightly flushing as she tilted her head to look elsewhere, avoiding his gentle gaze.
Seeing this, Easton’s smile grew even wider, and he instinctively tightened his grip on Lily’s hand, holding it more firmly in his own.
The supermarket wasn’t too far away, and the two arrived shortly after walking a bit.
Worried about being recognized, Lily ruffled her hair with her hand before entering the supermarket, using her long hair to cover the sides of her face. Only then did she confidently follow Easton into the supermarket.
Once inside, she had a clear goal and headed straight to the household goods aisle.
After grabbing toothpaste, a toothbrush, and towels, she moved towards the skincare products section, where she immediately spotted the skincare line she was endorsing.
Without much deliberation or pause, Lily grabbed a set of the skincare products she was endorsing and tossed it into the shopping cart. Then she tugged on Easton’s sleeve and headed for the exit.
"Aren’t you getting anything else?" Easton asked, tilting his head as he glanced at the items in the cart.
Lily shook her head: "There’s nothing else to buy."
At the moment, this was all she could think of. If she needed anything else, she would come back, now that she knew where the supermarket was.
After Easton paid the bill, he carried the purchased items in one hand and held Lily’s hand with the other as they left the supermarket.
"What do you feel like eating tonight? I can ask the cafeteria chef to make it for you." Easton usually ate at the cafeteria before going home, rarely cooking at home. He treated this house as solely a place to sleep.
Lily looked at Easton, then at the house in front of her, and finally, she turned her gaze to him beside her, "Does only you live here?"
It should be only him, otherwise, he wouldn’t have said something like that to her earlier.
"Starting today, it will be just the two of us living here." Easton said as he took out keys from his pocket, opened the door, and led Lily inside.
She originally thought the house would be messy and dirty, but the scene before her was unexpectedly pleasant. Not only was the house clean, but everything was neatly arranged, with not a hint of chaos.
"I can’t believe a guy living alone has a place cleaner than mine. I almost don’t dare to go further inside." Looking at the spotless floor, Lily couldn’t help but remark.
