Chapter 773: Chapter 369: Stewed Toad in One Pot_1

Chang’e asked in confusion, "Doesn’t that mean your master has lost?"

Qin Shou rolled his eyes and said, "My master? My master never cared about that thing... He’s quite content at heart."

Chang’e smacked her lips and said, "Really?"

Qin Shou nodded resolutely, but a few days later, the rabbit was chased down three streets by the Kitchen God wielding a spatula...

Qin Shou nodded and said, "Of course it’s true. By the way, how are things over there? Have the two sides made up yet?"

Chang’e replied, "After returning, Chongba went to talk to Wenqu Star Monarch about this matter. As for the specifics, it’s still unclear."

Qin Shou nodded, then leaned in and asked, "Is Mutou’s father really Emperor Qinghua of the East?"

Chang’e shook her head and said, "I’m not sure about that. Do you want to ask him yourself?"

Qin Shou stroked his chin and said, "Alright, I’ll ask him tomorrow. By the way, since you’ve been back, no one has troubled you, right? Be it the Demon Clan Heavenly Court or the Human Clan Heavenly Court, if anyone bullies you, tell me, and I’ll go beat them up with my weapon right now."

Qin Shou was now brimming with confidence, being a top-ranked Great Golden Immortal.

Most importantly, he had connections in high places.

Chang’e pursed her lips with a smile and said, "I know you’re influential. Since my return, no one has bothered me. It was just some minor soldiers from Black Mirror who came by, but with Fat Cat, Cauldron, and Moon Toad all there, plus the navy Tianpeng had stationed nearby, dealing with them was quite easy."

Qin Shou was then reassured and asked, "Cauldron and Fat Cat haven’t left? They’re all still here?"

Chang’e nodded and said, "Yeah."

Qin Shou immediately felt warmth in his heart, knowing that these two guys staying likely meant they were helping look after Chang’e for him.

With such brothers, how could he not be happy?

So Qin Shou happily went to Fenghua City to catch up with these two, but as he approached the city gate, he saw Fat Cat sunbathing on the gatehouse plaque.

The Eight Trigrams Furnace was right below the gatehouse, with several children climbing all over it. One particularly daring child had scaled the gatehouse and was stealthily approaching Fat Cat. He suddenly pounced on Fat Cat, riding on its back and tugging on its ears while howling, "Giddy up!"

Then, both of them lost their balance and fell down together.

They smacked onto the ground with a thud, which looked painful!

However, these mischievous kids were not ordinary children; they were demon offspring, tough and resilient. After tumbling on the ground, they got up and carried on riding Fat Cat like a horse.

Seeing this, the other children rushed up as well, eager to ride the makeshift horse...

What surprised Qin Shou was that Fat Cat seemed not to be angry at all and let the little tykes roughhouse as they pleased.

Chang’e covered smiling lips and said, "He’s really good-natured."

Qin Shou chuckled and replied, "It’s not that he’s good-natured, he’s just too lazy to move!"

Indeed, upon hearing the commotion, Fat Cat opened its eyelids, glanced at Qin Shou, and then cried out, "Help!"

Qin Shou shooed the children away and before Fat Cat could even thank him, he mounted the cat himself. Smacking Fat Cat’s hefty backside, he looked up at Chang’e and asked, "Do I look like a triumphant general returning from victory?"

Fat Cat, Chang’e: "...%¥#@¥%&"

Over the years, the demons within Fenghua City had undergone astonishing changes.

They had certainly grown stronger, but the biggest change was the various shops that had popped up, each with a certain scale and character.

They found a restaurant named "Toad Shredded Soup" and sat down.

Qin Shou had barely taken his seat when he called out, "Boss, bring me a pot of Toad Shredded Soup!"

Then Qin Shou saw a chubby fellow scurrying over, chuckling awkwardly, "We don’t have..."

Qin Shou was stunned, "You don’t have it? Isn’t that dish the signature of your establishment?"

The chubby man smiled sheepishly, "I’m the Toad Spirit, my name is Chaos, and our signature dish is ’A Pot Stewed.’"

Once again lost for words, Qin Shou waved his hand, "Then just give me ’A Pot Stewed,’ I suppose."

"Alright, coming right up!" The chubby man scurried off again.

It wasn’t long before the food arrived, a big pot filled with more than a dozen kinds of meats and greens, truly a hodgepodge stew.

However, it tasted quite good, and everyone enjoyed their meal and chat, all very relaxed.

After they had eaten and drunk their fill, Qin Shou decided to visit the Heavenly Court to check on things. Fat Cat absolutely refused to move, and the Eight Trigrams Furnace didn’t seem to want to leave its spot either, so Qin Shou set off on his own.

Upon reaching the outside of the Southern Gate, Qin Shou burst into laughter when he saw who was standing at the entrance.

It was an old acquaintance standing outside the Southern Gate—Mo Lishou!

However, at that moment, Mo Lishou wasn’t looking outside but was eyeing off someone else while standing sideways!

The person Qin Shou recognized as well, none other than the commander of the Demon Clan, Mountain Spider.

The two were eyeballing each other, and behind them, the heavenly soldiers and generals were angrily brandishing their weapons, none yielding to the other.

Between them, there was even a long red line drawn on the ground!

On the left hung a sign that read, "Cultivators from the human race of the Heavenly Court, go this way."

On the right another sign read, "Cultivators from the Demon Clan of the Heavenly Court, go this way."

Then sure enough, passing cultivators and demons divided to enter the Southern Gate from their respective sides, not one daring to cross the line!

Just as everyone was maintaining the status quo, a rabbit stepped right on the red line!

At that instant, everyone’s gaze suddenly swung over and then, like a spotlight, focused on Qin Shou!

And then, upon seeing it was a rabbit!

Everyone’s eyes shifted away in an instant, as if they hadn’t seen him at all!

Qin Shou scratched his head, "What’s the meaning of this? I, the Rabbit Overlord, am back, and this is how you react? Can’t even bother to give me one glance?"

Mo Lishou, in the midst of putting away the Flower Mink poking its head out of his bag, pushed it back in and tied the bag tightly before comfortably stuffing an unknown weapon into his Xumi Bag. Then, trying to squeeze out a smile, he turned to Qin Shou, "Oh, isn’t this... the Rabbit Overlord."

The Mountain Spider was a lot better, having eaten loss from Qin Shou before yet having reconciled later.

So the Mountain Spider laughed heartily, "Rabbit Overlord, long time no see, looking as spirited as ever."

Qin Shou nodded, "Naturally!"

After saying this, Qin Shou stepped between the two, pointing to the red line on the ground, "What’s this all about?"

Mo Lishou replied, "These rebellious ministers have staged a coup, forcibly dividing the Heavenly Court. This red line is the boundary; that side is theirs, this side is ours." He finished, with a face full of resentment...

Qin Shou patted his thigh, "Alright, don’t be resentful. Even without this red line, you wouldn’t be able to defeat him."

At those words, Mo Lishou’s face instantly turned red.
