Chapter 726: Chapter 322: Re-entering the Black Demon Box_1

Qin Shou, while wiping the sweat off his forehead, said, "I guess there’s no one else like you. Even among cats, you must be exceptional."

Fat Cat, extremely pleased, squinted and said, "You truly know how to talk, big bro. By the way, how about giving me some meat to eat?"

Looking at Fat Cat’s greedy appearance, Qin Shou was somewhat baffled and asked, "How come after all these years here, you haven’t—hmm—strived to climb up and starved to death?"

With a proud smile, Fat Cat said, "Don’t you have any idea how you got here? I may climb slowly, but I am pretty good at lying in wait for rabbits. Those guys you ate earlier were a group of Flea Spirits that I had carefully cultivated. Unfortunately, you ate them all. It will take some time to cultivate more..."

After saying that, Fat Cat scratched his butt.

Qin Shou turned around and vomited... mentally exclaiming, "Damn it to hell!"

"Alright, cut the crap. Are you sure you’re a cat?" Qin Shou still wanted to confirm, because the cat’s Illusion Technique was just too terrifying.

By now, Qin Shou had figured it out. Since their exit from the Star Gate, everything they’d encountered was an illusion!

Including Chongba and the Eight Trigrams Furnace being tossed around like a roller coaster, all illusions.

Because this deadbeat cat couldn’t bother to move, and those Cactus Flea Spirits didn’t have the capability either...

Qin Shou just couldn’t understand why, instead of running away, this guy didn’t use illusions to deceive Qin Shou and let Qin Shou eat dirt while he ate meat?

Qin Shou voiced his confusion.

Fat Cat said languidly, "Can’t you use your brain? Talking is very tiring for me."

Qin Shou: "..."

Fat Cat said, "Actually, it’s very simple. Your soul is just too damn tiring to bewitch. Then you lit that incense stick, and with its protection, it became even more tiring to confuse you. I figured it’d be less exhausting to just drool over meat rather than to eat it."

Qin Shou finally understood completely, this damn cat did nothing, all because it was just too lazy!

"Rabbit, do we rest a bit now or keep moving?" asked the Eight Trigrams Furnace.

Qin Shou, rubbing his belly, said, "Hungry... The meat earlier was just a filler, and I’ll probably be hungry soon. This desolate cosmos has nothing to eat, let’s just move on."

Eight Trigrams Furnace looked around at the small star cluster formed by a bunch of broken stones and nodded along.

Although there were some strange creatures here, because they lived in a place lacking in Yuan Qi, one shouldn’t expect them to contain much of it.

In fact, Qin Shou now hoped to encounter some of those Heavenly Demons mentioned by the Kitchen Gods, who must possess formidable magic treasures that could satiate him for a while if eaten. Of course, Qin Shou didn’t want to run into any overly ferocious Heavenly Demons, otherwise that would be seeking death.

The Star Gate opened, and several people filed in. Well...to be precise, Qin Shou, dragging Fat Cat, went in first, with the Eight Trigrams Furnace bringing up the rear with Chongba.

The reason Qin Shou wouldn’t let Fat Cat lie in the Eight Trigrams Furnace was simple: "He didn’t want to be seen as someone’s underling."

The clueless look on Chongba clearly marked him as a protected species.

But this lazy cat was different. This guy was lazily sprawled out, so flabby that he couldn’t even be bothered to open his eyelids.

His demeanor was the very epitome of a gang boss, whereas Qin Shou, who was bouncing around in front, seemed more like a jumping little minion.

Moreover, Qin Shou had also noticed that Fat Cat’s strength was extraordinary, especially strong in the art of illusions!

Otherwise, even Chongba’s specialized turtle shell smoke that breaks illusions couldn’t solve his illusions.

With such formidable combat power, it was a bit of a waste not to have him take the lead.

The Star Gate this time was incredibly lengthy; so much so that after a short while, Qin Shou got unbearably hungry. Having no choice, he threw Fat Cat into the Eight Trigrams Furnace and then crawled into the Black Demon Box himself.

However, Qin Shou was uneasy about leaving Fat Cat alone, so in the end, he pulled Fat Cat into the Black Demon Box with him.

Lazy and sprawling, Fat Cat lay atop the peak of Throne Mountain, surveying the surrounding landscape and yawning, "Not bad, pretty peaceful here. I’ll take a nap."

Bang!

Qin Shou landed a fierce smack on its head, "All you think about is sleeping. Don’t you want to eat meat?"

Counting on its paws, Fat Cat said, "Don’t want to, want to, don’t want to, want to, don’t want to..."

Then, with a steadfast gaze, Fat Cat declared, "Don’t want to!"

Qin Shou: "..."

Qin Shou: "How about watching beauties? Want to?"

Stretching out a paw again, Fat Cat counted, "Want to, don’t want to, want to, don’t want to, want to!"

And then, with unwavering resolve, Fat Cat declared, "Want to!"

Qin Shou said, "Then follow me, I. Soon, I’ll let you watch a beauty dance."

Upon hearing this, Fat Cat didn’t even lift a claw and flopped down, saying, "Have to move again? Then forget it, don’t want to."

Qin Shou felt a sense of helpless frustration looking at this deadly lazy cat!

In the end, Qin Shou still grabbed Fat Cat and dragged it along; the cat didn’t seem to mind being pulled, apparently fine with anything as long as it wasn’t required to move itself.

Qin Shou was so hungry it was uncomfortable. Low Mountain was too dangerous, he wouldn’t allow going there, so he decided to try his luck to the south.

To the south lay rugged rocks, with peak after peak rising into the air like birds spreading their wings toward the sky. Sadly, their lower halves were stuck in the earth.

As Qin Shou was flying along, a dark shadow rushed from afar, accompanied by the raucous cawing of crows ablaze with black flames!

Seeing this formation, Qin Shou’s eyes immediately lit up, and he exclaimed in delight, "Huode Star Monarch?!"

Alas, the other party still didn’t respond to his call; instead, they charged with a sky full of black crows descending upon him!

If this were the Qin Shou of the past, he would have simply had to flee.

But now, Qin Shou laughed heartily as he opened his mouth wide, transforming into a black hole, and all the incoming crows were sucked into his mouth, into his belly, transformed into surging Yuan Qi to replenish his body.

Seeing Qin Shou’s ferocity, the group of crows suddenly scattered. Then, the sound of dragon roars could be heard as five Divine Dragons, linked from mouth to tail, turned into a colossal wheel descending from the sky, barreling down on Qin Shou!

Qin Shou shifted his form, turning into a towering Giant, his body hair instantly turning golden—a characteristic of the Level Seven Heaven of the Eight-Nine Empyrean Art, the Golden Immortal realm!

Qin Shou, like a huge, golden-cast Rabbit, clapped his hands together and caught the Five Dragons Wheel; meanwhile, he opened his mouth wide and chomped down!

The Five Dragons Wheel cried out in sorrow, trying to retreat, but Qin Shou held it tightly, preventing it from flying away, then he kept biting into it, bite after bite. After a dozen bites, only half of the Five Dragons Wheel remained!

Whoosh!

A gust of wind blew at the back of his head, and Qin Shou turned around to see a flying sword trailing black smoke, heading straight for the back of his head!

Qin Shou grinned widely, instantly transforming into a six-armed figure with three heads; two hands grasping the Five Dragons Wheel, two heads gnawing on the Five Dragons Wheel, and one head opened its mouth wide, directly swallowing the Flying Smoke Sword in one gulp!
