Rabbit Must Die
Chapter 716 - 312: Abyss_1

Chapter 716: Chapter 312: Abyss_1

The Dragon Head, upon hearing this, stepped forward and gave a solid kick!

With a thud, Qin Shou was stamped into the mud again. Then, propping his chin on one hand, he relished the violent trampling on his back, feeling almost blissful...

However, Qin Shou was also a bit frustrated; these guys didn’t seem very strong—none of them were even Great Golden Immortals, not to mention half step to Great Golden Immortals. The strongest among them was this Golden Immortal of Level Nine who was currently attacking.

Too bad this guy seemed not to know how to cultivate; he relied solely on brute force. This level of intensity was not even as strong as Zhang Weiyu’s attacks...

Qin Shou couldn’t help but sigh, "Could it be that all the depths of space are filled with such waste? How am I going to improve my strength in the future? Surely I can’t just keep hammering at myself, right?"

Just as Qin Shou was feeling troubled, a bird’s cry suddenly sounded from the sky...

The once ferocious Dragon Heads, upon hearing this cry, acted as if mice had heard a cat’s meow. They all shivered collectively and looked towards the Dragon Head in panic.

The Dragon Head’s face turned grave too, "It’s the Abyss coming, run! Run for it!"

Then Qin Shou saw the Dragon Head monsters throw him aside in their frenzy and break into a run.

Hearing their words, Qin Shou grabbed the foot of one of the Dragon Head monsters, scaring him so much his eyes bounced around, and he cried out with a sob, "Let go of me! Let go... I don’t want to die."

Qin Shou was still utterly baffled. These arrogant and brainless creatures were actually on the verge of a breakdown because of something that hadn’t even arrived!

Qin Shou slapped him across the face and then, shaking his head, he demanded, "Answer me and I’ll let you go. What is the Abyss?"

The Dragon Head monster, realizing he couldn’t escape, cried out, "How would I know what the Abyss is? It looks different every time it appears. But before it comes, the sky always darkens... Let me go now, I need to get home, boo-hoo..."

Qin Shou, hearing this, let go, allowing the creature to leave. The creature then ran off, and Qin Shou saw these beings running away at about ten times the speed they arrived. Reaching the horizon, they all bent over, and slowly and reluctantly squeezed into the ground, disappearing from view.

Qin Shou guessed that there must be some sort of tunnel on that side, which they used to dodge the Abyss.

"Rabbit, what’s going on?" Eight Trigrams Furnace asked curiously.

Qin Shou shook his head, "I don’t know."

Then Qin Shou relayed what the Dragon Head monster had told him to the Eight Trigrams Furnace and Chongba, and upon hearing it, they grabbed the Rabbit and ran.

Qin Shou was utterly dumbfounded, "What are you doing? Where are you going? Take it easy, I’m straining..."

Eight Trigrams Furnace and Chongba, dragging Qin Shou, rushed to the spot where the Dragon Head monsters had vanished, only to be surprised, finding nothing different from any other place there.

Qin Shou stamped on the ground, which was very hard.

Qin Shou stomped with force, and the earth merely shook a bit, without leaving even a footprint!

Qin Shou, amazed, said, "That’s not right; with such force, even if it was on steel, a footprint should have been made. Very strange!"

Eight Trigrams Furnace soared into the air and with a thud slammed into the ground, from which a sound like the clash of metal rang out! The firmness of the earth caught the full attention of the trio.

Chongba, tapping on the ground, said, "It’s so hard, how did those guys burrow in? Are they all kids with steel drills for heads?"

Qin Shou stroked his chin, recalling the strange behavior of the dragon-headed monsters. Those hefty, short-tempered creatures had run as if wishing their parents had given them a dozen more legs, but once they arrived here, they all slowed their pace, and then...

Imitating the dragon-headed monsters, Qin Shou slowly bent over, lowering his head and gently touching it to the ground.

To his surprise, a bizarre scene unfolded – the ground, as hard as it was, rippled like water! Qin Shou’s head effortlessly sank into it!

Then, lifting his legs, Qin Shou effortlessly burrowed into the ground!

Chongba and the Eight Trigrams Furnace exchanged glances, suddenly realizing, "We can’t force it!"

However, they obviously disdained Rabbit’s style of burrowing and chose a more elegant posture to phase into the soil, only to find they couldn’t penetrate the earth!

When they tried again, mimicking Qin Shou’s stance, sticking their behinds up and digging their heads in, the ground finally changed, spreading softly like water, allowing them to smoothly phase into the soil and vanish from sight.

As the two entered underground and opened their eyes, they got the fright of their lives!

All around them underground, countless pairs of eyes looked up at them!

Qin Shou was among them, mimicking the dragon-headed monsters to the letter. However, the white fur on his body made him stand out like a sore thumb.

"Rabbit, is there something wrong with us?" Chongba asked, looking down at himself, then turned to Rabbit.

Without a word, Qin Shou waved his hand, motioning them to clear the way.

Only then did Chongba and the Eight Trigrams Furnace realize that these creatures were not watching them but something behind them.

Turning around, Chongba and the Eight Trigrams Furnace were taken aback and then moved aside, sitting and looking up like the dragon-headed monsters had.

Logically, the ground should’ve been behind them, but at that moment, they could see directly through to the surface. It was as if they hadn’t burrowed at all, but were squatting in water or a large pit.

At that very moment, a dark mass like ink had almost swallowed the entire sky. After the last glimmer of light was consumed by the dark, everyone underground instinctively held their breaths.

Then, everyone saw two brown eyes slowly opening in the sky, their gaze ice cold, as if they saw no life in their field of vision, only death!

The eyes scanned the ground... and every time they swept over their heads, everyone felt a chilling sensation, as if they could be killed at any moment!

Fortunately, the environment here was special, and it seemed that the eyes couldn’t penetrate the ground nor see the people below.

In the end, after scanning around, the eyes slowly closed.

Upon witnessing this, everyone subconsciously let out a sigh of relief...

Unable to contain himself, Qin Shou asked, "Is this the Abyss?"

The dragon-headed monsters, having narrowly escaped death alongside Rabbit, weren’t as hostile towards him anymore.

One of the dragon-headed creatures nodded and said, "Yes, that is the Abyss, the residence of an entity whose nature we do not know."

Another dragon-headed monster added, "There used to be many creatures here, but after the Abyss arrived, all were devoured overnight. Thanks to this ancestral land, we were spared. But recently, the Abyss seems to be growing impatient, and its appearances are becoming more frequent."
