Chapter 532: Chapter 144 Blood Red Rabbit_1

Especially within the Sea of Consciousness of Qin Shou, his Sea of Consciousness was an expanse of void, yet within this void, there seemed to be many levels divided. Every now and then, when Qin Shou intended to explore it, he would feel as though he was standing on the edge of an endless abyss, as if one wrong step into exploration could cause him to fall and crash to his death.

Qin Shou feared death, so he had never delved deep into it.

However, he also knew that there was definitely something strange at the deep end of his Sea of Consciousness, but lacking both the courage and the ability to explore, he simply let this oddity exist unchallenged, living carefree while at the same time strengthening himself, hoping that one day he could uncover some secret from the abyss and understand what he truly was.

And that female voice, it came from beneath the abyss!

The thought that someone was hidden deep within his soul, and that this person would face the most vulnerable part of his soul directly, truly made Qin Shou panic!

The strongest part of Qin Shou was his flesh, with his unrivaled chompers and a stomach that seemed able to digest almost anything.

His soul had only been somewhat strengthened when he reached the Great Perfection stage of Qi Refining, which indeed made him incomparably stronger than ordinary people, capable of killing a crowd with a single thought. But Qin Shou understood that even the weakest of his enemies was an Immortal. An Immortal glancing at his soul could kill tens of thousands of him with a single look!

Therefore, his soul was his weakest point, and he was most afraid of someone directly reaching it.

And now, what he feared had come to pass...

A thing that had been hidden for who knew how long, had arrived!

Qin Shou could feel that thing crawling out from deep within the abyss, and simultaneously, an overwhelmingly powerful will forcibly suppressed Qin Shou’s bodily reflexes; his cells opened their mouths wide but did not swallow that clump of something. Instead, that domineering will forcefully dragged that thing into Qin Shou’s Sea of Consciousness!

Upon closer inspection, Qin Shou realized that the object was actually a blood-colored figure!

This figure stood there, its whole body so faint it was almost like a transparent plastic sheet figure, but the bloody smell it emitted reminded Qin Shou that it was not a good thing.

However, the figure did not seem to be doing anything; it was just standing there obediently as if tied up.

But Qin Shou could make out that the figure seemed to be kneeling and trembling as if in fear of something.

Moving closer cautiously, Qin Shou discovered that the figure truly seemed to be made of condensed blood, albeit anemic and thus only transparently blood-red.

Seeing this, Qin Shou was almost certain: what he was facing was a Blood God Seed!

Thinking of the Blood God Seed, Qin Shou grinned. If he had not been possessed by a Blood God Seed before, he would be downright terrified. But just now, he had seen that the Blood God Seed was ferocious beyond measure, devouring flesh and soul wherever it went—a complete monster. However, Qin Shou’s body seemed to be even more monstrous; were it not for that weird will from the abyss that suppressed all his cells, the Blood God Seed would probably have been stewed and served as soup by now. Perhaps, at this moment, it would have been reduced to a mere belch of Qin Shou!

And penetrating the body seemed to be the Blood God Seed’s only method of attack, so with this reckoning, Qin Shou wasn’t really afraid of the blood-nourishing Blood God Seed before him.

But the fearsome reputation of the Blood God Seed was well-known, and it was definitely not easy prey. So what was that will from deep within the abyss, exactly?

To be able to suppress the Blood God Seed, even to restrain those mad-dog-like cells within his body from biting wildly, was nothing short of miraculous!

At the same time, Qin Shou’s eyes gleamed with anticipation; he vaguely felt that there might be a cure for his condition.

While Qin Shou was lost in his wild thoughts, a sound akin to a water droplet falling into a pond echoed from the depths of his Sea of Consciousness, "Ding dong," soft yet pleasing to the ear.

In this silent sea of consciousness, everything was heard very clearly.

Qin Shou turned his head and saw ripples emanating, one after another, from the depths of the sea of consciousness. At the same time, a hand reached out from the center of the ripples, a blood-red, fuzzy hand that was so chubby it was hard to distinguish its fingers.

Looking closer, Qin Shou saw a head with long, large ears poking out from the ripples!

Upon seeing this, Qin Shou blurted out subconsciously, "Silly Rabbit!"

Then Qin Shou realized something was amiss! This wasn’t Silly Rabbit!

Silly Rabbit was white, but the rabbit before him was blood-red!

The blood-red rabbit, hearing Qin Shou call out like that, furrowed its brows. Then, with a smile both gentle and gracious, it said, "You little rascal, you do have a mischievous streak."

Qin Shou was taken aback. Little rascal? The tone of the other’s voice seemed to suggest it wasn’t looking for trouble.

So, not knowing where his courage came from, Qin Shou found himself walking over on some inexplicable impulse. He stood in front of the blood-red rabbit, tiptoed slightly, and while smoothing his hand over the top of his head as if to measure, he chuckled, "I’m a bit taller than you, so you’re the little rabbit."

Amused by Qin Shou’s action, the other laughed, "I exist in your sea of consciousness, naturally, I must exist in a form similar to yours. That is to say, we are alike... Now do you still think I’m the little one?"

Qin Shou was speechless...

But he quickly chuckled and said, "I wasn’t talking about size, I was talking about breadth of mind! I’m definitely bigger than you there!"

The blood-red rabbit pursed its lips and smiled, "You little fellow, you really are... just like your ancestors, a piece of work."

Qin Shou was stunned, then exclaimed, "You know my ancestors?"

The blood-red rabbit nodded slightly, then deftly changed the subject, "You really are courting death, aren’t you? This Blood God Seed is filled with the most malicious and resentful ’resentment blood of the living spirit’ in Heaven and Earth. It entered your body, and if your body absorbed it, do you know what the consequences would be?"

Hearing this, Qin Shou immediately broke out in a cold sweat. No wonder he had blacked out earlier, it was this thing causing trouble! He nodded vigorously, indicating that he understood the severity of the consequences—passing out was basically as good as death. But then he had a second thought, something wasn’t right!

Before Qin Shou could speak, the blood-red Rabbit began to address his unvoiced concern, "I know what you are thinking, it was I who took control of your body, that’s why you find yourself here in the sea of consciousness. Rest assured, since I intervened, I won’t let your body be harmed. You’re very safe right now."

Obviously, the blood-red Rabbit was unaware that Qin Shou’s nod was not an acknowledgment of what she thought.

However, both believed that they were talking about the same consequence, so neither clarified the misunderstanding.

Still, Qin Shou was puzzled, what exactly did this blood-red Rabbit want? Why appear now?

As if knowing all his questions, the blood-red Rabbit immediately said, "I’ve been living inside your body for a long time. Just now, I sensed something familiar. I’m going to go out and look for it. However, I don’t like using your physical body, so..."

PS: Okay, I thought I could get to the part where things go berserk, but I didn’t make it. If I don’t make things clear, I can’t write... Since that’s the case, I’ve decided not to sleep and to keep writing. Around 12, I’ll post another update, and it must go berserk!
