Rabbit Must Die
Chapter 527 - 139: Entering the Blood Sea_1

Chapter 527: Chapter 139: Entering the Blood Sea_1

Qin Shou raised his hand and whacked with a brick, leaving the city princess Li Kui’s eyes rolling back.

Immediately, Qin Shou asked, "How do I get to the Netherworld Blood Sea? Tell me, and this is yours!"

Qin Shou moved the chicken leg closer to the city princess Li Kui.

Pointing towards the west, the city princess Li Kui said, "Just go straight, and you’ll get there! No..."

Before the city princess Li Kui could finish speaking, a chicken leg had already been stuffed into her mouth. As for the person who had the chicken leg, he had long run off.

The city princess Li Kui was stunned, struggling to sit up. As she ate the chicken leg and gazed into the distance, she said in disbelief, "He really let me eat it, really... didn’t kill me... really went looking for the Asura King for the sake of an ugly freak? Are all the rabbits outside this wild? I’m kinda starting to like him!"

...

As Qin Shou was running, he suddenly shuddered and muttered, "Damn it, I feel like I’m about to have bad luck."

Though he cursed, Qin Shou didn’t slow down at all. Using the Path of Shadows, he kept shuttling through the shadows without being spotted by the Asuras scattered around.

Heading westward, Qin Shou occasionally stealthily captured a few Asuras to inquire about the target location, only to find that fists and knives only spurred their desire to fight and to die, which was completely ineffective. Conversely, tempting them with tasty food worked almost every time, leaving them utterly defenseless.

After several inquiries, no news about Baldy was found, which meant Hanyue hadn’t lied to Qin Shou; there truly was no news of Baldy here.

On the other hand, Qin Shou heard a lot about Hanyue.

However, these pieces of news were more absurd than the last. Firstly, it was said that Hanyue had been carried back defeated;

then someone claimed Hanyue had one arm chopped off and was brought back like that;

others said both legs were chopped off and she was taken back;

At that moment, Qin Shou wondered if the Asura King intended to bring back a human stick home if the chopping continued. That was just too far-fetched!

Some even said that Hanyue’s head had been chopped off, and her body was dragged back, and the Asura King planned to roast and eat it ...

Qin Shou immediately disregarded that bit of gossip, reasoning that although the Asura King was an Asura, the Eastern Ghost Emperor Cai Yulei had also said that the Asura King was now one of the Heavenly Gods of Buddhism, so he shouldn’t be so depraved as to eat humans.

There was also a claim that the Asura King didn’t find Hanyue’s appearance attractive at all but rather thought she was grotesquely ugly, feeling she disgraced the face of the Asura Clan, and decided to skin her and stuff her with straw to hang at the city gate for public display ...

This piece of news, Qin Shou somewhat believed.

Because along the way, Qin Shou also casually asked about the Asura Clan’s aesthetic standards for women and had others compare the appearance of the city princess Li Kui with that of Hanyue. Invariably, the Asuras all said Li Kui was beautiful! Such a robust body was sure to make childbearing efficient without interfering with fighting right after childbirth; the children would definitely be strong and have formidable combat abilities. In contrast, Hanyue appeared to be a mere bag of bones with no strength, and even if she was currently powerful, she would surely have had to put in more effort.

The Asura Clan lived day by day, not having that much time for growth. Therefore, no one chose Hanyue.

At that moment, Qin Shou thought the Asura Clan’s aesthetics were not bad, just shaped by the necessities of life.

But when Qin Shou asked which one they actually found beautiful, everyone unanimously said the city princess Li Kui was heartbreakingly beautiful and that Hanyue was too ugly, all bones with only a bit of flesh on her chest, which wasn’t attractive!

After hearing this, Qin Shou completely despaired of the Asura Clan’s sense of beauty.

As Qin Shou sprinted along, he finally saw a river within a river, although to be precise, Qin Shou didn’t know how to describe this river!

It was a raging Blood River, flowing beneath the Nether River, which theoretically made it a river within a river.

However, the width of the Blood River surpassed that of the Nether River. The Blood River not only ran beneath the river bed but also eroded the foundations of the banks around it. The surrounding river banks were all hanging over the Blood River! In other words, the Blood River supported the Nether River.

Therefore, as to which was truly the river within a river, Qin Shou wasn’t sure how to judge.

Upon seeing the Blood River, Qin Shou knew he had come to the right place.

According to the city princess Li Kui’s description, upon encountering the Blood River and following it westward, one would see a city, Blood City!

"It really is all blood..." Qin Shou was somewhat resigned.

Fortunately, the resentment blood of the living spirit wasn’t just any blood.

Wu Gang had said that the resentment blood of the living spirit had to come from a creature that bore resentment towards Qin Shou and landed on him to have an effect. Thus, the Blood River before him didn’t pose much of a problem for Qin Shou.

"So dirty..." Qin Shou shook his head and pinched his nose before diving in.

The Blood River was different from the Nether River. Upon entering the Blood River, Qin Shou immediately felt his visibility was hindered. No matter where he looked, there was only a turbid expanse of blood, with visibility less than three meters!

Helpless, Qin Shou could only keep his head above the Blood River and quickly shuttle through the shadows between the waves.

After sprinting for more than a ShiChen, a majestic blood-colored city wall appeared within Qin Shou’s line of sight!

The wall was tall like a mountain and cast entirely from blood-colored Crystal Stone, with blood flowing within the stones. It seemed both eerie and stunningly beautiful.

Many Asura in the Blood River were fighting each other on their way to Blood City. Regardless of how fiercely they fought, even if their opponent was down to their last breath, as soon as they landed on the Crystal Stone land in front of the city gate, everyone would cease fighting and turn to leave.

Qin Shou watched for a bit and understood—Blood City must be a place where combat was forbidden.

Knowing that there wouldn’t be any fighting in Blood City, Qin Shou breathed a sigh of relief. He looked into the city gate and saw a thick blood mist obscuring visibility. He could barely make out people entering and exiting. There were men and women, but none pleasing to the eye.

Looking at the city wall, Qin Shou didn’t see anyone and he breathed easier, realizing that the Asura King evidently hadn’t decided to hang Hanyue like a skinned caterpillar on the wall. That meant she was likely taken to be the wife of the brigand chief.

At this thought, Qin Shou felt somewhat relieved; at least now he could be sure that Hanyue was still alive.

Qin Shou slipped into the shadow of an Asura, followed it onto the Crystal Stone land, and then made his way toward the city gate.

Passing through the city gate, Qin Shou tensed up, fearing some mechanism might detect him, the stowaway. To his surprise, the city gate had no reaction at all...

Qin Shou couldn’t help but mutter to himself, "Damn, the security in this Blood City is really shoddy, isn’t it?"

Just then, two Asura glared at each other as they walked past Qin Shou, conversing as they went.

"Idiot, I heard the Asura King snatched a female Asura to be his wife."
