Rabbit Must Die -
Chapter 515 - 127: Nether River_1
Chapter 515: Chapter 127: Nether River_1
Bull Head stared at Horse Face for a full three minutes, always thinking that it was some donkey spirit posing as him...
Though Bull Head was slow at running, he was quick to react. After getting punched twice, he realized he couldn’t win the fight, so he pointed towards the Nether River and yelled, "The Asura you’re looking for is at the Nether River!"
Then Bull Head took to his heels and ran...
What followed was the encounter with the Rabbit in the city.
Upon hearing this, Qin Shou summed up the other’s way of doing things and was quite certain that the one who did the beating was definitely Baldy.
But what Qin Shou couldn’t figure out was, why was Baldy chasing an Asura?
Thinking about this, Qin Shou suddenly felt a chill and exclaimed, "Damn it, Cao, did you really point him towards the Nether River?"
As if it were the most natural thing in the world, Bull Head nodded and said, "Of course! My brother Horse Face shouldn’t have been beaten for nothing! Besides, the Asura definitely went to the Nether River, I didn’t lie to him! If he goes there, he will surely get beaten, and if he gets beaten, I also played a part in it. Doesn’t that mean I’m helping Horse Face get his revenge?"
Upon hearing this, Qin Shou suddenly felt that Bull Head wasn’t as simple and honest as he seemed, thinking quite a lot indeed! So Qin Shou glanced sideways at Bull Head and said, "Be honest with me, does Horse Face really run faster than you?"
Bull Head was about to slap his chest and say something when Qin Shou glared at him and said, "If you dare lie, I, Rabbit Lord, will throw you into the Nether River for a bath."
At this, Bull Head shivered and let out a nervous laugh, saying, "Rabbit Lord, actually... well, if we’re talking about an all-out run, well, you know."
Hearing this, Qin Shou really wanted to slap Bull Head. Understand? Understand crap! You’re nothing but a scheming jerk!
Qin Shou decided not to trust Bull Head too much...
Qin Shou asked, "How much farther is it?"
After thinking for a moment, Bull Head said, "Shouldn’t be much further, you’ll know you’re there when you see the unlucky ghosts howling on the ground."
Qin Shou was speechless once again...
As they were talking, Bull Head suddenly pointed excitedly ahead and shouted, "Look, Rabbit Lord, there’s an unlucky ghost howling on the ground up ahead, we’re almost there!"
Just as Bull Head had said, after seeing the first unlucky ghost, the further they walked, the more there were...
At that moment, in those circumstances, some of Qin Shou’s memories couldn’t help but be awakened.
The current scene, this whole setup, why did it feel so much like catching dogs with breadcrumbs in his past life?
However, after walking a bit further, the number of unlucky ghosts on the ground began to thin out, and gradually there were fewer and fewer, and from start to finish, they never saw Baldy.
Qin Shou looked at Bull Head, who appeared just as clueless, who then randomly grabbed someone and asked, "Hey! Where’s that little Baldy?"
The unlucky Ghost General replied with a sobbing tone, "After he finished beating people, he left, heading towards the Nether River. He said if you want to find him, go to the Nether River."
Bull Head looked up at Qin Shou, and Qin Shou had a bitter expression on his face, realizing that Baldy never had the words ’think’ or ’fear’ in his head! It was one thing to fight all the way down the Netherworld, but rushing towards the Nether River was another; didn’t he know that the Nether River was full of war maniacs? And there was also an old maniac that was simply unbeatable?
At that very moment, the little figures inside Qin Shou’s head were at war again, one shouting not to go, that it was too dangerous, better to cower, live longer, find an opportunity for Ascension to meet Chang’e, and have a good life in Heaven.
Another pointed at Qin Shou and cursed vehemently, "Your brother’s gone to die, and you don’t save him, are you even human? Spit, are you just a rabbit?"
Finally, Qin Shou stomped his foot and yelled, "Damn it, I’m going!"
After saying that, Qin Shou turned around and rushed toward the Nether River, of course, Qin Shou didn’t actually know the way, and even if he did, he didn’t want to walk alone. So...
"I, you can go by yourself, why are you dragging me along? I can’t run fast, I’m useless in a fight, and I eat so much!" cried Bull Head with a sobbing voice.
On hearing this, Qin Shou was amused by Bull Head’s complaints and shook his head, "I don’t know the way, so don’t give me that crap about just heading to the Nether River. The Nether River is huge, and I remember there’s the Nether Sea nearby, right? Without someone to guide me, how am I supposed to find Baldy?"
Bull Head shouted, "I, you don’t need to avenge me anymore, I think that Baldy isn’t bad, you see, he’s fought so many people, only hurting, not killing anyone, right? How about we let it go?"
Until now, Bull Head still thought Qin Shou took action to help him get even.
Qin Shou’s eyes darted about, and he spoke with an air of utmost righteousness and loyalty, "Let it go? How can this be let go? This grievance must be settled, no settling, no return!"
On hearing this, Bull Head regretted complaining to Qin Shou for the first time. Had he known this rabbit was so stubborn, he would never have complained!
After half a day of explaining and half a day of persuading, with the rabbit showing no signs of turning back, Bull Head finally gave up.
Guided by Bull Head, Qin Shou occasionally saw one or two bizarre creatures beaten into scraps scattered all around... it seemed that Baldy encountered some trouble on his path forward.
Bull Head said that those strange-shaped monsters were indigenous to the Netherworld, born of demonic energy but lacking intelligence; they blindly grew into anything and everything.
Crossing vast expanses of black deserts, lava lands, smelling the strong sulfur in the air, when Qin Shou was almost unable to bear it, a gust of wind blew by, carrying with it a unique, pungent stench.
Bull Head shouted, "That’s the stench of the Nether River’s blood, we’re close!"
Qin Shou’s brows furrowed, "The stench of blood?"
Bull Head nodded, "Yeah! Deep in the Nether River is the Blood River, and in the depths of the Nether Sea is the Blood Sea. The blood quickly disperses in the water, so the Nether River does have some blood in it, which is why it smells bloody. As long as you catch the scent, we’re almost there."
Qin Shou nodded, and at the same time, his mood grew tense, his mind racing.
Qin Shou knew full well that with his strength, trying to break into the Nether River was simply playing with his life.
But to abandon Baldy? Qin Shou had entertained the thought.
Yet Qin Shou found that while his character was indeed shitty, apparently, it wasn’t shitty to that realm, so he couldn’t let it go.
After all, his acquaintance with Baldy had started with a fight. Moreover, during that time they watched the sunrise and sunset together, he could feel that Baldy had his own determination.
The key point was, Qin Shou felt that he and Baldy were actually similar, although he wasn’t clear why he felt this way.
Could it be a resonance caused by one looking for trouble by fighting everywhere, and the other by gnawing around and stirring trouble wherever he went?
Shaking his head to clear the random thoughts, Qin Shou finally landed on the top of the last tall mountain, and the view before him opened up drastically. He saw a river thousands of miles wide, roaring and raging toward the distance! The sound of the turbulent water, blocked by the mountains, was not transmitted outwards. The echoing off the mountains made it even more deafening, roaring rhythmlessly, yet giving a sense of grandeur as if it could crush everything in its path!
