Chapter 507: Chapter 120 Rabbit Takes a Multiple-Choice Test?_1

Speaking of this, Cai Yulei shook his head with a bitter expression on his face.

Qin Shou said, "From your words, it seems you don’t think highly of Yishui’s cultivation technique, do you?"

Cai Yulei said, "Although the technique is powerful, it has too many drawbacks. Each time she reincarnates, she becomes too weak and could be killed by anyone at any time. However, she is fortunate that the Yama Kings of Ten Halls take turns protecting her... But that’s under normal circumstances. Now, everyone is too preoccupied to look out for themselves, so she’s in danger."

Qin Shou wondered, "Isn’t it said that the Nine Yin Netherworld Array of the Netherworld is known to be unbreakable? Where does this danger you speak of come from?"

Cai Yulei shook his head and said, "Where in this world is there an unbreakable formation? In the past, the Heavenly Constellation Array of the Demon Clan was claimed to be unbreakable even by Saints. Wasn’t it still broken in the end? Today, the Heavenly Court is at its zenith, yet it remains in seclusion. Initially, when the Netherworld declared that the Nine Yin Netherworld Array was unbreakable, it was because they had the Heavenly Court as their support. With the Heavenly Court intact, who would dare to touch a hair on the Netherworld’s head? But now... with the Heavenly Court’s gates closed, the Netherworld is naturally restless."

After finishing, Cai Yulei led Qin Shou to the top of Taozhi Mountain, pointed towards the distance, and said, "Do you see that? That’s the location of the Nether River. In recent years, the waters of the Nether River have been rising higher and higher. At the same time, the Asura Clan in the Nether River have become more and more restless. The Netherworld’s unrest lies beneath the Nether River."

Qin Shou said, "As far as I know, Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha should be guarding that place, right?"

Cai Yulei glanced at Qin Shou and asked, "Do you know why the Heavenly Court agreed to let Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha enter the Netherworld?"

Of course, Qin Shou didn’t know.

Cai Yulei said, "Everyone has heard of Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha’s great vow: ’As long as Hell is not empty, I will not achieve Buddhahood.’ Unfortunately, the people are not aware that what Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha refers to by Hell not being empty is not the ghosts within Hell. All beings in the world inevitably die. Even the Buddhas of Spirit Mountain have their times of ultimate tranquillity and reincarnation. The birth and death of beings are just illusions—part of the great path of heaven and earth. What’s there to talk about annihilating ghosts? In fact, if something actually goes wrong with reincarnation, that’s the real calamity for heaven and earth! Think about it, if reincarnation ceases to exist, beings will only have two choices: endless life or complete annihilation. And as the killings continue, the number of living beings will decrease more and more, until eventually, the world will have nothing left.

Reincarnation is a buffer for the beings of the world. Without reincarnation, it is annihilation!

So, what Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha means by Hell not being empty is not about ferrying all the ghosts in the world to the other side or turning evil ghosts into benevolent ones. It’s about the unique miasma created by the endless resentment, unwillingness, and rage of all beings after entering the Netherworld, mixed with the turbid qi from the beginning of the world—what people call demonic qi!

This demonic qi, as it accumulates more and more, must be suppressed. Otherwise, if it is released, it will lead to a great disaster between heaven and earth. Demonic qi is a mixture of the seven emotions and six desires, immeasurable negative sentiments with turbid qi. And turbid qi, together with clear qi, are two energies necessary for living beings, also known as Yin Qi and Yang Qi. Yin Qi and Yang Qi are the easiest for beings to absorb. If one absorbs qi mixed with negative emotions, can you imagine the consequences?

Ordinary people who absorb it will become irritable, developing a nature of killing, like wild beasts.

Cultivators who absorb it will turn out the same, and if they traverse tribulations, they are most likely to lose their nature. If they don’t die, they will become demons!

If Immortals absorb it, the result will be the same..."

Hearing this, Qin Shou began to understand and asked, "Are you suggesting that Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha cannot be disturbed?"

Cai Yulei intoned emphatically, "Not by the slightest fraction!"

Qin Shou said, "But... what about the Five Ghost Emperors and Emperor of the Perdition City, as well as the strongest Equal to Heaven Sage Emperor?"

At this, Qin Shou suddenly realized something. Who was the Equal to Heaven Sage Emperor? If he remembered correctly, that was supposed to be Huang Feihu from the era of the Divine Enthronement war! Back during the Divine Enthronement war, Huang Feihu’s fighting strength was paltry, far inferior to the likes of Nezha and others.

Although now he was fortified by a divine position, but..."

Cai Yulei laughed bitterly and said, "Right, there are also us. Rabbit, do you know why I called you here?"

Qin Shou shook his head.

Cai Yulei said, "Yishui may not understand you, but we do. Just before, I received a decree from the Emperor of the Perdition City. He asked me to represent countless lives in the Netherworld in seeking a favor from you."

On hearing this, Qin Shou was startled. So many powerful beings asking him for help?

Qin Shou cleaned his ears, asking incredulously, "You’re asking me? Are you sure about that?"

Cai Yulei laughed and said, "Is there any other rabbit here besides you?"

Qin Shou immediately replied, "Yes, there are many on the Road to the Netherworld! How about I call them all for you?"

Cai Yulei gave Qin Shou a sideways glance and said, "No need, we’re looking for you."

By now, even if Qin Shou was a fool, he knew that whatever was coming next would be far from simple! Diving into that muddy water, whether he would survive to re-emerge was a gamble. It was too dangerous; he didn’t want to take that risk...

Thus, Qin Shou slapped his forehead and exclaimed, "Oh no! I rushed out in haste and forgot that the dried radishes at home haven’t been brought in yet. What if it rains? That would all be for nothing. I have to go now; you stay busy."

Having said that, Qin Shou turned and ran.

Cai Yulei wasn’t angry. Instead, he chuckled while watching Qin Shou’s retreating figure, then murmured lightly, "If the Netherworld falls, then there will be a breach in the Heavenly Constellation Array. And if the Heavenly Court is destroyed, when the nest is overturned, no eggs are left unbroken, and I fear even the moon won’t be peaceful."

It was as if a spell had been cast on Qin Shou; he suddenly froze in his tracks, slowly turned his head back, and said, "Are you threatening me?"
