Chapter 503: Chapter 116 Facing You with Both Face and Butt_1

Yishui felt that what Qin Shou said made sense, so she scooted over and carefully reached out her little hand to touch Qin Shou’s face, her expression as if a pauper were touching a piece of antique porcelain, terrified that too much force might break it and ruin her financially.

Qin Shou felt as if he had just taken a hundred thousand points of critical damage and swatted the little girl’s hand away, "Alright, enough touching, I really, really really really am real. Anyway, what are you doing here? Where’s your brother?"

As soon as Yishan was mentioned, Yishui puffed up her cheeks with a sulky pout, "Don’t know!"

Qin Shou said in surprise, "You don’t know?"

Yishui nodded vigorously with a forlorn expression, "Yeah, he said something and then just ran off, didn’t even wait for me."

Qin Shou asked again, "Then how come you’re here?"

Yishui said as if it were obvious, "Cause this is my home."

Qin Shou suddenly felt dizzy. This was her home? Her home was in the Netherworld? And she was afraid of ghosts? And got lost?

All Qin Shou could feel was that after his heart had taken a hit, his IQ was now being mercilessly trampled on by the little girl.

But no matter how Qin Shou looked at the little girl, she didn’t seem to be lying. Could this place really be her home?

Qin Shou pointed to the grand hall and asked, "This is your home?"

Yishui nodded and said, "Yeah."

Just as Qin Shou was about to expose the little girl’s lie, he heard Yishui add, "It’s the main gate of my home."

Qin Shou: "..."

Qin Shou cleared his throat and said, "As far as I know, this should be the Teleportation Array in King Zhuanlun’s palace, right?"

Yishui stroked her chin and said, "Right, what about it?"

Qin Shou said, "And you’re still claiming this is the main gate of your home? Do you have some relation to King Zhuanlun?"

Yishui cocked her head and said, "Can’t I?"

Qin Shou’s mind was a mess, but having an acquaintance was better than none at all. So he grabbed the little girl’s hand and said, "Enough about that. I need to go ask King Zhuanlun about something. We’ll talk later. With your brother not here, follow me for now to avoid getting lost again..."

The little girl’s temper flared up upon hearing this, her cheeks puffed up in indignation as if she wanted to say something, but Qin Shou pulled her toward the Teleportation Array at the center of the grand hall.

The Rabbit took out the spirit tablet given by Zhong Kui, the Teleportation Array emitted a faint light, and, with a buzzing sound, the void shattered and the two disappeared within the array, but not before a shriek escaped, "I don’t want to go back home!"

The scene shifted, and Qin Shou found himself standing on the edge of a cliff, with a platform under his feet, and across from him was a dark grand hall, which was empty and seemed abandoned. Looking down from the cliff, murky waters were swirling below, with five different colors of gases merging, undulating continuously yet never reaching the top of the cliff, which was extremely strange.

At that moment, Yishui said, "Down there is the filthee land, my home is here, which suppresses the pollution. Otherwise, if you wander in, you’ll get sick."

Hearing this, Qin Shou had to rack his brains to understand Yishui’s meaning – not filthee but the land of pollutants! Qin Shou had heard of the netherland, the place between the heavens and the earth which has five types of pollutants: Calamity, Vision, Annoyance, Sentient, and Life pollutants. Each one was more poisonous than actual poison for all living beings yet remained from the creation of the world, uneliminable even by Saints. Pangu himself could only suppress them underfoot.

Ancient texts recorded that the Netherworld is located in the netherland, which originally had no living being. It was the settlement of great beings that suppressed the pollutants, and only then did life begin to thrive there.

So, King Zhuanlun’s position in the Netherworld was to suppress these five pollutants!

With that in mind, Qin Shou couldn’t help but mutter to himself, "Damn, one person can suppress the five pollutants, the Yama Kings of Ten Halls are stronger than I thought! But that’s not right, when I saw the Yama Kings during the festival, they were seated at the lowest level, nothing compared to other Heavenly Gods. I’ve met a few of those gods, and even Tianpeng Marshal wasn’t particularly powerful. Could it be because of that grand hall?"

Qin Shou looked up at Zhuanlun Hall which rose a thousand feet high, stretching for hundreds of miles, with palace complexes dotting the landscape... After observing for a while, Qin Shou still couldn’t make heads or tails of it and eventually gave up on his wild theories and continued walking towards the grand hall with Yishui.

Since there was no one around, Qin Shou had no way to send word ahead, so he had to shout out loud, "Heavenly Court Daynight Wandering God seeks an audience with the Yama Kings of Ten Halls, King Zhuanlun of the Netherworld!"

Qin Shou’s voice was loud, echoing back and forth within the grand hall, taking a long time to fade away.

But after waiting a while, Qin Shou still saw no one coming out to greet him nor did he hear any response.

So Qin Shou shouted again, but still no one paid him any attention. Qin Shou was starting to wonder: Could it be that King Zhuanlun wasn’t home?

Qin Shou took a deep breath and shouted once more, "King Zhuanlun?"

Just then, a soft voice sounded behind Qin Shou, "Hey."

"Stop messing around," Qin Shou turned back and rapped Yishui on the head, leaving her looking helpless while she continued to kick at the stones with her little feet.

Qin Shou called out again, "King Zhuanlun, are you there?"

Yishui responded once more, "I am."

Qin Shou turned back with a dark expression and said, "Can you not cause trouble?"

Yishui also looked helplessly at Qin Shou, pointing to her small nose, "Causing trouble? Don’t I look like King Zhuanlun?"

Qin Shou rolled his eyes, "I have seen King Zhuanlun before, if I remember correctly, he should be..."

At this point, Qin Shou paused, his mind muddled by the multitude of people he saw on that festive day. He hadn’t paid close attention to the Yama Kings of Ten Halls. He only remembered them sitting still in long robes with little movement. Therefore, for a moment, Qin Shou was uncertain if there was a young girl among the Yama Kings of Ten Halls...

With a pout, Yishui said, "There you go doubting me again. I am indeed King Zhuanlun, believe it or not."

Having said that, Yishui took out a token and waved it towards the Zhuanlun Hall. Instantly, all the oil lamps in the grand hall lit up. She then walked into the hall with light steps, grumbling, "Really now, I didn’t even want to come back..."

Seeing Yishui move inside as if she owned the place and glancing at the token in her hand, Qin Shou suddenly realized that this girl might actually be King Zhuanlun!

Contemplating this possibility, Qin Shou couldn’t help but feel a mix of amusement and sympathy. He stepped forward and asked, "You say you’re King Zhuanlun, then tell me, why are you the only one here? In such a large palace, why haven’t you found a few servants to take care of things?"

Yishui curled her lip, "Do I need them? My palace is spotless, impervious to dust, and impenetrable by wind, not dirty at all. Besides, aren’t the ones who come to the Netherworld early all ghosts? They wander aimlessly, frightening to look at... If I brought them here, do you think I could feel at ease or live comfortably?"

Qin Shou felt a surge of exasperation. To think that a Yama King of Ten Halls could be so frightened of ghosts! He couldn’t help but doubt again whether this girl was truly King Zhuanlun.

Just as Qin Shou was about to say something, a shadow suddenly appeared in front of them!

Qin Shou squinted towards the figure, seeing that the person had their back to them—or rather, was facing them, but their head had turned a full one hundred and eighty degrees to look behind, apparently looking at something?

The individual held a lantern in front, but their head was twisted towards the back, creating an extremely eerie sight.

"A ghost!" Yishui, seeing this person, screamed and turned to run!

Knowing Yishui’s strength, Qin Shou didn’t dare to pull her back carelessly, so he mustered all his strength to grab Yishui, shouting, "Don’t be afraid! You’re one of the Yama Kings of Ten Halls!"

Upon hearing this, Yishui stopped struggling but still trembled behind Qin Shou, stammering, "You... you... who are you?"

A light chuckle sounded, and the scholarly-looking man did not move, speaking indifferently, "Yama Kings of Ten Halls, King Zhuanlun, once every eighty thousand years—unexpected that in this lifetime, you’d be afraid of ghosts. Interesting..."

It dawned on Qin Shou that the little girl behind him was indeed King Zhuanlun. However, he was puzzled and couldn’t help but ask subconsciously, "Is he reincarnated?"

The scholarly man did not turn around, shaking his head, the back of it swaying to and fro, which Qin Shou found utterly awkward. The man explained, "King Zhuanlun’s cycle is every eighty thousand years, dictated by his cultivation technique, not due to reincarnation. It is simply a physical rebirth, a nirvana... similar to a phoenix, which through each rebirth can overcome old limitations and advance further on the path of cultivation after re-cultivating. But everything has its pros and cons. Though one can continuously advance on the great road, when the cycle comes after eighty thousand years, one is left extremely weak."

Qin Shou instantly understood everything and realized that this fellow before him was definitely not one of their own!

Thus, taking a deep breath to steady his mind, Qin Shou bowed respectfully and said, "Thank you for your explanation. Since you’re busy, we won’t disturb you further."

With that, Qin Shou pulled Yishui and turned to leave.

But as they turned, Qin Shou shivered involuntarily. The man had somehow managed to get behind them without their notice! Only this time, he was facing Qin Shou properly... or not quite. His rear and his face were both facing Qin Shou. From this angle, it looked like he truly was standing with his hands behind his back.

The man’s face was pale, with two sharp fangs visible as he smiled, an incredibly sinister expression, "Where are you going?"

"Er... er... er..." Yishui, cowering behind Qin Shou, continued to shiver, "A ghost... It’s really a ghost..."

Qin Shou’s face was a picture of helpless resignation. He knew Yishui was in an exceptional situation and being like a child in some ways, so being afraid of ghosts was, after all, normal.

Qin Shou realized that the newcomer meant no good, and so he pointedly refrained from speaking, pulling Yishui to turn around again. But once more, he saw the man with the lantern, blocking their way with the back of his head.

"You may leave, but leave the Zhuanlun Token behind, then go wherever you please," the man said.

"No... not giving it!" Yishui, though frightened, shouted at the mention of giving away the Zhuanlun Token.

The man chuckled and replied, "Then leave your life behind."

Just as Qin Shou was about to respond, he heard Yishui whisper, "It’s okay, this is Zhuanlun Hall, we can run."

However, the man seemed to know what Yishui was thinking and chuckled, "Zhuanlun Hall is one of the array eyes of the array of netherworld, its defenses formidable. I naturally cannot break it. But do you really think you’ve entered Zhuanlun Hall?"
