Chapter 433: Chapter 46 What was actually pressed?_1
As soon as the ancestor box touched down, the space around began to vibrate, and then a wave of ripples spread out!
The crowd noticed that the world before their eyes had changed!
They were no longer standing in front of Shunyuan Peak, but on a small hill!
"It’s the rabbits!" Mudan, observant as ever, immediately noticed the Rabbit, Sun Wukong, and the old swindler standing behind Huanglong Daoist.
Everyone looked and saw the three standing beneath a huge split rock, which didn’t resemble a person, but more so a monster bellowing up at the sky!
The rock was jet-black as ink!
It was completely different from the scene Qin Shou and the others had seen!
The Rabbit was waving a bamboo stick in its hand, though no one knew what it was doing.
Seeing this, Yao Bofu’s face changed dramatically and he exclaimed, "That’s not Lady Xiang Bamboo!"
"Of course, it’s not Lady Xiang Bamboo, that is Chiyou’s blood!" Huanglong Daoist laughed heartily.
"Chiyou’s blood? You... you want to release Chiyou?" Gouyun was no longer composed.
Chiyou, who once swept through the human race, nearly annihilating it, and terrorized the gods and Buddhas of the heavens! If this creature were to be released, Gouyun could imagine that no one present would have any hope of escape!
Without further hesitation, Yao Bofu waved his hand, and the ancestor box which had already turned around revealed thirteen seals on its back to everyone!
Yao Bofu cut his finger and tore off one of the seals with his blood-stained fingertip, shouting, "Ancestors, aid me!"
A beam of sword light flew out, and with its vast sword aura, everyone stepped back!
The sword aura instantly condensed as if it was a real sword, shooting towards Huanglong Daoist.
With a look of disdain, Huanglong Daoist caused his Daoist robe to billow, flinging his sleeve with a snap, and the sword light shattered to pieces!
Huanglong Daoist proudly said, "I have seen this ancestor box before, Emperor Shun’s confidant Gaotao once used it to confront me, but alas... it was nothing much. Now, in the hands of a junior like you, how effective can it be?"
After speaking, Huanglong Daoist waved his sleeve and the void trembled, with a bang, Yao Bofu spat out a mouthful of fresh blood and was sent flying back, the ancestor box unable to protect him!
Emperor Jin, Mudan, and Gouyun’s faces changed drastically at this sight. Emperor Jin’s guards rushed forward to protect him, but they knew that their effort was futile.
Emperor Jin said grimly, "At the very least, he’s a Golden Immortal, very likely a Great Golden Immortal, or even higher... Damn it, why did we encounter him! A miscalculation..."
Mudan tugged at Emperor Jin’s arm, her brows deeply furrowed, clearly worried about the person before them.
The white-robed man following behind them tilted his head, silent.
Emperor Jin whispered, "Brother Peng, is there a way out?"
The white-robed man shook his head at Emperor Jin, then made an upward gesture, and remained still.
Emperor Jin’s face turned grim, bitterness suffusing his heart as he looked at Huanglong Daoist before him. He had thought that with the decrees of the ancestor of Earthly Immortals and the Saintess of Mount Li, no one would dare commit such outrageous acts against Heaven, and with his own strength and magic treasures, he could at least handle some matters.
Now it seemed that the decrees were only useful superficially... and moreover, he wasn’t sure whether this Yellow Dragon would kill them afterwards to silence them.
After all, no matter how domineering Huanglong Daoist was, he wouldn’t dare to make enemies of everyone under Heaven.
Emperor Jin was already considering countermeasures. As for the original plan for this mission, he didn’t need to think about it any longer because he had seen everything he needed to, and he could not stop anything. He sighed inwardly, "Disaster rises from the South; my eighteen brothers and I set out in eighteen directions, never imagining that it would start here, alas..."
Yao Bofu struggled to his feet, attempting to remove the second seal.
However, Huanglong Daoist didn’t even look at him, but turned to gaze at Wukong and the others and said indifferently, "Back when Gaotao removed ten seals and tore off a sleeve of mine, I cut his cultivation base in half. Kid, I have no grudge against Emperor Shun and don’t wish to involve myself in his karma. You’d best stay put; otherwise, if I make a move, your virtuous Dao Body will dissipate into smoke and clouds."
"The rise of the Yu Family would then be a joke."
Upon hearing this, Yao Bofu trembled and ultimately did not tear off the second seal. Instead, he asked, "Is it Chiyou pressed down below?"
Huanglong Daoist didn’t rush to reply but heaved a meaningful sigh before speaking, "It’s a pity that you, a descendant of Emperor Shun, are asking me about what is written in your family records. Do I need to spell it out for you?
Emperor Shun’s southern inspection tour!
"Inspection," as in hunting. His journey south wasn’t for leisure; it was a hunting expedition."
Yao Bofu said, "The family records state that back then, there were nine Black Dragons wreaking havoc on Jiuyi Mountain. After slaying the nine Black Dragons, our ancestor collapsed from severe injuries and passed away here."
The Huanglong Daoist burst into laughter and said, "Do you believe that story?"
Yao Bofu fell silent...
At that moment, Princess Mudan spoke up loudly, "As far as I know, there were indeed nine Black Dragons on Jiuyi Mountain, and those Black Dragons were the remnants of Chiyou.
According to historical records, Jiuyi Mountain is located near Yunmeng Marsh, which not only houses the tomb of Emperor Shun.
It also houses Chiyou’s grave!
If what you’ve just said holds true, then those nine evil dragons must have sought to revive Chiyou and were slain by Emperor Shun, who discovered their plan. Is that correct?"
Huanglong Daoist looked at Princess Mudan somewhat surprised, then smiled and said, "You’re quite clever, little girl. You’ve guessed partially right."
Princess Mudan continued, "Emperor Shun was an Overlord-level powerhouse—a mere nine evil dragons would be easily crushed by him. Since Emperor Shun’s tomb is here, could it be that the nine evil dragons succeeded? Did they release Chiyou?"
Huanglong Daoist narrowed his eyes and said, "Continue."
Princess Mudan said, "Emperor Shun fought Chiyou and met his demise on Cangwu Mountain, correct?"
Huanglong Daoist did not respond.
Yao Bofu’s face, however, looked extremely grim. He, of course, knew these things, and the reason he didn’t speak of them was that the fewer people who knew this secret, the better!
Yet Princess Mudan went on, "The Yu Family actually didn’t originate from the south, but from a clan by the Guishui Riverside in the north. After Emperor Shun perished on Cangwu Mountain, his descendants migrated the long journey from the Guishui Riverside in the north to the foothills of Jiuyi Mountain, establishing Lingling Ancient City. Although they claimed it was to guard their ancestor’s tomb, the real reason was probably to guard Chiyou’s seal, right?"
Clap, clap, clap!
Huanglong Daoist applauded, "Indeed a smart girl, but what a pity... such a pity..."
Confused, Princess Mudan asked, "A pity for what?"
Huanglong Daoist said, "A pity, you guessed wrong. This tomb doesn’t house Chiyou."
"Not Chiyou?" Princess Mudan was taken aback.
Huanglong Daoist explained, "What happened back then, no one knows. Chiyou was defeated and slain by the Xuanyuan Sword, and his body parts were scattered and sealed. No one knows their exact locations."
At this, Huanglong Daoist looked at Yao Bofu and asked, "Little kid, will I tell, or will you?"
