Chapter 321: Chapter 318 Tricky Master Lu_1
Qin Shou was startled and asked, "Master, you’re going too?"
Lu Ban glared and replied, "What? Can’t I skimp on those five jars of wine and go mooch a jar?"
Qin Shou and Chang’e exchanged glances, then forced a smile and said, "Sure, of course, that’s fine... As long as you’re happy, Master."
While talking, Qin Shou turned his head and realized that Lu Yi and Lu Er had disappeared. He asked, "Where are my two senior brothers, you dummy?"
Chang’e replied, "They were just here, how did they vanish in the blink of an eye?"
Lu Ban said, "Never mind them, let’s pack up and hurry on. Ah... to drink five jars, delightful!"
Qin Shou reminded him, "Master, you said you would only drink one jar."
Lu Ban pompously declared, "Drinking is all about speed, if you guys are slow, doesn’t that mean they’re all mine?"
Qin Shou was at a loss for words...
Chang’e had no intention of following them and continued her studies at Yuying Hall.
Qin Shou and Lu Ban were ready to go to Shushan and Wenqu Palace.
As for Lu Yi and Lu Er, the two were huddled at the base of the mountain among the bushes, arms around each other’s shoulders, bitterly complaining, "It’s so damn irritating... This Rabbit flaunts his fine wine, and damn it, his romance too! Can’t outdrink him, can’t outmatch him in getting girls, it’s infuriating... just so damn infuriating..."
Elsewhere, Qin Shou took out the Pegasus Dragon Carriage and placed it on the ground. Lu Ban saw it and immediately burst out laughing: "Rabbit, where did you get this flashy trinket?"
Qin Shou confusedly asked, "Master, is there something wrong with the carriage?"
Lu Ban laughed heartily and said, "It’s not that it’s bad, just that it’s too damn effeminate! A real man should use manly things! Besides, even though it looks pretty, it’s lacking in functionality; it’s just for show."
Qin Shou didn’t buy the first part of the critique; although the carriage wasn’t imposing, it still looked impressive on the road, a pure difference in personal taste. But he agreed with Lu Ban’s last point— despite its luxurious appearance, the carriage really wasn’t that practical.
So, Qin Shou asked, "Master, then what do you consider something that’s not just for show?"
Lu Ban chuckled slyly, waved his hand, and threw something out. That object expanded in mid-air and transformed with a whoosh into a giant war chariot a thousand zhang in length!
This war chariot was also drawn by warhorses, but not just one horse—it was a whole team!
Qin Shou counted them; there were exactly eighty-one warhorses pulling the chariot, which resembled a massive battle-axe!
These were not ordinary horses, but fierce steeds with flowing manes, as if ready to trample you to death at the slightest disagreement. Next to the horses of the Pegasus Dragon Carriage, they not only dwarfed them by two sizes but also completely lacked their presence!
It was like a terrifying veteran soldier standing in front of a primary school kid, with the kid having no choice but to tremble!
Even stationary, the design of the war chariot gave off the illusion of being about to be torn apart and crushed, sending chills down one’s spine.
Compared to it, the Pegasus Dragon Carriage looked even more like a toy.
Side by side, one was a commanding super-tank and the other a small sports car; for a man, which would be more impressive?
Qin Shou gaped and said, "Master, this is too fierce!"
Lu Ban laughed heartily and declared, "Of course! These warhorses are no ordinary steeds; they are modeled after famous historic warhorses! Each one represents a piece of history, and the materials used are far more elaborate than your shabby carriage. That thing of yours is just a common magic treasure, while my chariot is on the level of nurture spiritual treasure. It’s not just a mount; in a real battle, hehe..."
Qin Shou glanced subconsciously at the chariot’s body, fashioned like a battle-axe, and noticed a large character engraved on it—the character for ’virtue’!
In that moment, Qin Shou understood everything. His master, as a War Craftsman, thought of combat even when making a chariot...
"Put away your little pony. Today, you ride in your master’s chariot!" Lu Ban said and then leapt onto the war chariot.
Qin Shou looked at his Pegasus Dragon Carriage and then at Lu Ban’s De chariot, and he distressingly found that his Pegasus Dragon Carriage really didn’t have the face to drive in front of the De chariot... With a sigh, Qin Shou put away the Pegasus Dragon Carriage and got on the De chariot.
"Hold tight, I’m going to start driving," Lu Ban said.
Qin Shou rolled his eyes and said, "Master, I’m not a woman, just drive; am I going to fall off or something?"
Lu Ban chuckled, showing off his big white teeth, and the next moment he flicked the reins and with a thunderous shout exclaimed, "Go!"
Before Qin Shou could react, he only felt a forceful push on his back as the carriage whooshed out! Then he found himself involuntarily... flying out...
Smack!
Qin Shou crashed to the ground, raised his head in a daze to look at the sky, where the carriage had already left only a shadow behind...
On the carriage, Lu Ban looked ahead and laughed heartily, "Rabbit! Isn’t it exhilarating? Those women like to drive without any vibration, but I’m different, I like the feeling of the carriage running and shaking- that’s what a man’s carriage should feel like, satisfying! Eh? Rabbit? Say something, will you? Scared silly? Rabbit?"
Lu Ban called out a few times but didn’t hear Rabbit respond; when he looked back, he saw that the carriage was empty...
Lu Ban was stunned for a moment, then scratched his head and his face reddened as he muttered, "Oh no, I’ve lost another one."
Qin Shou picked himself up, rubbing his nose miserably, and cursed, "Damn it, this crappy carriage is too much of a scam!"
While he was speaking, he heard the distant neighing of a horse. Soon after came the sound of horse hooves, like war drums, booming closer, and then whoosh! A carriage rushed to the scene, spun around with a tail spin, and with a screech, it beautifully came to a halt on the ground!
From atop the carriage, Lu Ban stuck his head out, took a look around, and asked in confusion, "Hey? Where’s Rabbit? I just saw him standing here a moment ago?"
"Master, could you move the carriage... are you here to kill someone or to pick someone up?" came Rabbit’s weak voice from underneath the wheel.
Lu Ban’s face turned red, and he quickly moved the carriage, revealing a rabbit crawling out of the dirt, looking resentfully at Lu Ban and saying, "Master, are you still drunk? Your driving is really f*cking terrible."
Lu Ban cleared his throat and said, "Talking nonsense... Get on, we’re leaving!"
Qin Shou, still feeling shaken, took a look at the De chariot and finally, gritting his teeth, got on. This time, Qin Shou had learned his lesson and clung tightly to the carriage, determined not to let go.
Lu Ban chuckled and asked, "Are you sitting tight now?"
Qin Shou said, "I am!"
"What’s that on your head?" Lu Ban suddenly asked.
Instinctively, Qin Shou reached up to his head and said, "There’s nothing... ah..."
Smack!
The carriage left, and a rabbit tumbled to the ground cursing resentfully amid the dust, "Master, you’ve screwed me over again!"
"Watch out!" came a loud shout.
The rumble of horse hooves returned.
This time Qin Shou smartened up and dodged!
But then the carriage performed a Divine Dragon tail spin and came chasing after him!
Seeing this, Qin Shou cursed, "Damn it! You really think I, Rabbit, have no skills, huh?"
While speaking, Qin Shou stomped his foot and, for the sake of imposingness, for the sake of showing off, he roared, "Nine Changes of Zhuyan Change!"
