Just then, Qin Shou saw a touch of green inside the frog’s gaping mouth and looked closer, his anger boiling!

That green was unmistakably a piece of Laurel!

Qin Shou’s eyes blazed as he stared at the frog, seething with rage, leaping down the cavity and about to pounce onto the frog’s back with a single bound!

At that moment, a large hand fell and grabbed the Rabbit’s ear, pulling him back.

"Who?" boasted Qin Shou with his long ears, even as he was pulled by them, he could still turn around and shout.

In the darkness, a familiar face emerged before my eyes, it was none other than Wu Gang!

"Gang, what are you doing here?" Qin Shou exclaimed in surprise.

With a roll of his eyes, Wu Gang said, "If I hadn’t come, you would have caused a catastrophic disaster!"

Qin Shou was taken aback before he retorted defiantly, "I caused a disaster? Are you kidding me, Gang? This is my home! Not only does that toad sleep in my family’s well, but it actually dares to steal my family’s Yuan Qi! You might tolerate it, but I can’t! Wait for me, I’m going to wake up that toad and make it clear that it’s in deep trouble!"

Wu Gang gave a wry smile and said, "Can’t you ever rest for a bit, you Rabbit? Do you even know what kind of toad that is?"

Qin Shou glanced at him, nodded slightly, and said with a solemn expression, "I know."

Surprised, Wu Gang asked, "You know? And you still provoke it?"

Unintimidated, Qin Shou replied, "Of course I know! Isn’t it just a toad? Just because it’s more disgusting than me doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to provoke it, right? But on second thought, a toad could be used as an ingredient for medicine, a great tonic at that."

Wu Gang raised his hand and gave the Rabbit a slap, knocking him to the ground. He said, "You stupid rabbit, all you think about is eating!"

Qin Shou countered, "What else should I think? I’m not the one who said it was edible, the cookbook said so... If it isn’t food, then why would it be in a cookbook?"

Wu Gang was taken aback, realizing to his dismay that he had no comeback.

Shaking his head, Wu Gang seriously said, "Everything else you can mess with, but you mustn’t touch this toad."

Qin Shou asked, "Why not?"

Wu Gang explained, "In its heyday, Taiyin Star was glorious, matching the Taiyang Palace stride for stride. The Taiyin and Taiyang Star Monarchs pretty much managed the two poles of yin and yang in the world. Back then, Taiyin Star had two treasures, the Toad Palace and the Laurel! Hence, there’s a saying that the Toad Palace symbolizes the moon.

Unfortunately, thereafter...let’s not go into details. In short, with the transition of power in the Heavenly Court, the last Taiyin Star Monarch’s whereabouts became unknown, the Toad Palace was razed to the ground, but the Laurel managed to barely survive due to its robust vitality.
