Glancing towards the others...
Guang Yun was discussing the shape of the clouds in the sky with Fu Dajiao;
The muscular Guang Shan bent over kicking ants...
Songguo was absorbed with his fingers, but without exception, all of them were sneaking glances at him using the corner of their eyes, and they would occasionally purse their lips and turn their heads to let out snickers... Clearly, they were all intentionally looking for a laugh!
Songguo, the simplest in nature, chuckled twice, then couldn’t hold back any longer and burst into loud laughter, "Rabbit, for annoying me! You’ve got your comeuppance today, haha... So annoying!"
Qin Shou’s face darkened as he glanced at the Stone Monkey, "If you dare to repeat that, I might start recognizing relatives."
Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong immediately clammed up, chuckling with a ’hehe’ and said, "Thanks for the name, Master! So, what should this rabbit be called?"
Subhuti Patriarch looked up and said, "He... let’s still call him Qin Wu."
Qin Shou was taken aback, expecting the Subhuti Patriarch to play around with his name, but didn’t anticipate being given such a name. Upon reflection, Qin Shou thought the name actually sounded nicer than his own. However, deep down, he was still attached to his given name...
Of course, Qin Shou wasn’t ungrateful and followed Monkey’s lead to bow and thank, "Thank you, Master, for the name."
Subhuti Patriarch nodded slightly, "Songguo, go arrange their accommodations."
Songguo acknowledged the order, casting a helpless glance at the rabbit, shaking his head, "Follow me... sigh..."
Qin Shou immediately tagged along, grinning as he asked, "Songguo, what’s with that expression? No matter what, I’m still a man who has spent the night with you. Can’t you be a bit gentler?"
The moment those words fell, Songguo felt the stares around him shift, his face turned red, and he clenched his fist shouting, "I did not!"
"Still denying it? Have you forgotten I made you cry from bullying you? But that little thing of yours is really small, hardly enough to eat..." Qin Shou said.
Upon hearing that, the others turned an embarrassed shade of black, shuddering and no longer daring to look at the damn rabbit, and instinctively stood up straight with their legs together.
Sun Wukong knew what the Rabbit was referring to, but seeing how amusing everyone looked, he kept the secret to himself and joined in the snickering...
At that moment, Fu Dajiao whispered, "Eldest brother, this monkey and rabbit are peas in a pod. Look at his expression, he’s thoroughly enjoying it."
Guang Yun said, "Stay away from them in the future."
In a low voice, Guang Shan said, "I’m not afraid of much, but I’m really worried about these two clowns slipping into my bed. The monkey’s still alright since he’s big, which means I can be prepared. But this rabbit, what if he sneaks under the covers..."
Several men shivered at the thought!
"Form a formation!" the fellows cried out in unison.
Unknown to Qin Shou, he had already been blacklisted, blissfully teasing Songguo and having the time of his life.
In the end, Songguo led them to the foot of the mountain and pointed to a large open area, "We don’t have spare rooms on Fangcun Mountain, everyone selects their own spot to reside. Look around, see what spot you like, and build your house."
Qin Shou didn’t mind at all; he was good at building houses.
Sun Wukong was stunned, scratching his head and asked, "How do we build?"
Qin Shou slapped Sun Wukong’s thigh, declaring, "That’s easy, I’ll handle it."
As he spoke, he grabbed some soil and turned it into an axe, then dashed forward with a whoosh. Soon the sound of chopping echoed as one after another, tall trees fell to the ground. In no time, over twenty towering trees were dragged back by a rabbit.
Next, the rabbit waved a hand, and the trees turned to ash, then reassembled in the air, and a house magically appeared!
This house wasn’t an ancient-style structure, but a modern villa that Qin Shou designed—a three-story detached villa.
The first floor had a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen.
There were guest rooms on the second floor and a master bedroom on the third.
Then Qin Shou dragged a large tree into the house, and soon, there were tables, chairs, benches, pots, pans, and everything needed in a home!
Afterward, Qin Shou went on to install a swimming pool in the backyard... Not knowing what combination of elements formed tiles, Qin Shou didn’t worry since he knew what diamonds were made of. Thus, he constructed a luxurious swimming pool lined with platinum at the bottom and paved with diamonds on top, complete with two beach chairs and sun umbrellas, all enclosed by a fence.
Once finished, Qin Shou turned around to see Songguo and Sun Wukong staring, aghast, at both Qin Shou and his house.
"Rabbit, how did you do that? How did the wood turn into stone?" Sun Wukong asked incredulously.
Songguo nodded along... Unlike Sun Wukong who hadn’t seen much, he had seen many magical powers but had never witnessed a magic like Qin Shou’s, which directly altered the internal structure of matter. Moreover, he curiously asked, "Rabbit, this house looks so strange, I’ve never seen it before."
Qin Shou laughed heartily, "Hanging out with me, you’ll see plenty of things you’ve never seen before!"
Songguo rolled his eyes, haughtily saying, "What’s there to boast about? I am your senior brother now! From now on, you should address me as senior brother, got it?"
"Okay, Songguo." Qin Shou responded promptly.
Songguo frowned, "Call me senior brother."
"Okay, Songguo." Qin Shou repeated.
Songguo looked at the rabbit who seriously kept calling him Songguo, speechless. He had experienced the damn rabbit’s shamelessness and stubbornness for himself.
After all these years, the first one who had managed to force his way into Fangcun Mountain with sheer cheek was this rabbit. He had given up hope that he would change how he addressed him. So, he turned to Sun Wukong, "You know you should call me senior brother from now on, right?"
Sun Wukong was considerably more serious than Qin Shou and followed suit with a nod, "Alright, Songguo."
Songguo: ...His heart cursing furiously: The monkey’s been led astray by the rabbit!
In an effort to rectify the monkey, Songguo summoned his senior’s authority and angrily declared, "Call me senior brother!"
"Alright, Songguo!" Qin Shou and Sun Wukong exclaimed in unison.
Songguo, flustered, flung his sleeves and whined, "I’m not playing with you guys anymore. I’m leaving!"
Having said that, Songguo turned and walked away.
In the face of this snot-nosed kid, both Qin Shou and Sun Wukong laughed, waved their hands, and called out, "Goodbye, Songguo!"
But Songguo ran off even faster.
Qin Shou and Sun Wukong exchanged glances, each seeing the amusement in the other’s eyes, then Sun Wukong whooshed into the house, exclaiming with excitement, "Wow! What’s all this? Haha... This chair is so soft, the bed so big! Rabbit, I want this room!"
"That’s my master bedroom!" shouted Qin Shou.
"I don’t care, it’s mine now!" yelled Sun Wukong.
Qin Shou bellowed, "It’s mine!"
Sun Wukong retorted, "It’s mine!"
"Call me daddy, and I’ll let you have it," demanded Qin Shou.
Sun Wukong replied, "In your dreams! You calling me daddy is more like it!"
"Pah, take this palm from me!" Qin Shou clamored...
One monkey and one rabbit scurried around the room, clattering sounds ensuing, and after ten minutes...
One rabbit and one monkey gazed upon the ruin scattered everywhere, letting out a long sigh...
"Rabbit."
"Monkey."
Then they said in unison, "Next time, let’s be gentle when we play..."
Then they nodded in agreement, and Qin Shou went off to rebuild the house.
...
By now, it was already the wee hours of the night, but fortunately both fellows were brimming with energy, unbothered by the lack of sleep.
Especially Qin Shou, after tidying up, he looked up to see the moon nearing the horizon and his heart skipped a beat; he hurriedly said, "Monkey, you sleep by yourself, I’ve got something to attend to, so I’m off!"
Mid-speech, Qin Shou soared into the air and ran off.
Three Immortals Road has a fixed passage that can’t be found by ordinary people if they haven’t walked it before.
However, Qin Shou was an exception. Although he had never been to West Niuhe Continent before, he had the Daynight Wandering God’s token, which, once activated, could naturally locate the position of the Three Immortals Road.
Following the token’s guidance, Qin Shou rode the Pegasus Dragon Carriage with a roar, and in no time at all, he had plunged into the Three Immortals Road and disappeared from sight.
"Amitabha, benefactor, where do you hail from?" Upon entering, Qin Shou heard a Buddhist chant ringing out.
Looking up, Qin Shou saw a towering heavenly gate before him.
This gate had a style different from the splendid brightness of the Southern Gate or the solemn grandeur of the Eastern Gate—it could be described as... rather garish!
The gate top and bottom featured twelve Heavenly Dragons accompanied by Phoenixes in flight; above was auspicious cloud, as though the Dragons and Phoenixes were carrying the cloud. On top of the cloud, Arhats were seated cross-legged, with Bodhisattvas riding exotic beasts further up, and above it all, sat a large Buddha on a lotus. This Buddha almost took up half of the paintings, incredibly vast!
Qin Shou recognized a few of the figures above; amongst the Arhats, he spotted Ji Dian picking his feet and eating a chicken leg, and amongst the Bodhisattvas, he saw Guanyin Bodhisattva, clad in white, exuding infinite compassion. The large Buddha that occupied half of the painting was none other than the Tathagata Buddha, with a head covered in bumps, whom Qin Shou had seen before.
However, to Qin Shou’s surprise, it was as if the painting was unfinished, as there seemed to be something above the Buddha. Looking closely, there appeared to be two lotus pedestals. The pedestals were unclear, showing only a small part, easily missed without careful attention.
But Qin Shou had noticed it, thinking to himself, "Indeed, this contemporary Buddha Tathagata is not the supreme being of Buddhism. Above the Tathagata, saints still exist..."
"Amitabha, benefactor, this humble monk is speaking to you," the voice rang out again.
Only then did Qin Shou shift his gaze back and his eyes immediately lit up!
Standing before him was a monk with clear eyes and dashing features—a face so handsome that even Qin Shou, upon glancing at him, felt a curious thought: How can a man be this attractive? How are women supposed to cope?
"Master, I apologize, I was distracted by the painting on the back of the gate just now. How may I address the master?" asked Qin Shou.
The monk smiled with his palms pressed together and answered, "Amitabha, this humble monk’s dharma name is Golden Cicada."
Upon hearing this, Qin Shou’ mouth unconsciously gaped wide, and his chin nearly hit the ground as he roared inside his head, "Holy crap! Golden Cicada! The Tang Monk’s past life? No wonder this fellow captivated so many ignorant girls and demons along the way to retrieve the scriptures from Western Heaven. With that face, it’s enough! Damn it, what was Buddha thinking? Are you on a journey to Western Heaven or sowing your seed? Or flaunting that face to the Heavenly Court? It’s a provocation! An absolute provocation! No wonder so many immortals from the Heavenly Court sent their pets to stew Tang Monk, it was revenge..."
Qin Shou entertained his sinister thoughts while also adding, "So it’s Master Golden Cicada, haha, fortunate to meet you. Anyway, I have something else to attend to, so I must be going, bye now."
