Quick Transmigration: Irresistible Beauty
Chapter 346 - 346: Blackened Junior Sister (51)

In the original plot given to Qing Xi, Yue Ran was almost drained of all her spiritual power by the Sword of the Demon and nearly died in the process of breaking the seal in the demonic sword. Jiang Wen Xiu was soft-hearted when he saw such a scene and thus "kindly" rescued the life of Yue Ran from the other sect members' pursuit by shoving her off the cliff, which would save her from a more gruesome end--meaning dying by her former comrade's hands.

Hai Bing Tu: ???

Long Yuan: ???

Yue Ran: ???

Ruan Ruan: Is that not the same thing? It is worse to die at a crush's hands than a former comrade's hands.

Lan Jin: Rawr, rawr! (So full of nonsense!)

Owing to the fact that Long Yuan had gotten out of the seal, he was able to protect Yue Ran in time, and that was why Yue Ran could land safely and soundly in the end, and her life was no longer in peril.

Next, Yue Ran would have to travel through the snowy mountain range, the White Jade Snow Mountain, on the way to the Central Plains, which was her next destination. When Yue Ran was dying on the way there, she met Hai Bing Tu and made the decision to help Hai Bing Tu restore the Exalted Sea Sect to its former glory.

Yue Ran would later encounter Shu Ye at the Immortal Sacrifice Ceremony. Jiang Wen Xiu kept pursuing Yue Ran to apprehend her to demonstrate his resolve and dedication due to his sense of justice. However, Long Yuan fell into a coma in order to save Yue Ran when she was troubled by the Sky Breeze Sect, the Grand Martial Temple, and the other sects that joined the chase. Luckily, Yue Ran found an opportunity to blend in with the crowd during the special celebration and was soon rescued by Shu Ye when she nearly got herself caught.

It turned out that Shu Ye had been looking up information about the Exalted Sea Sect. He was aware of Yue Ran's existence for a long time and was very interested in her, so he personally came forward to save Yue Ran.

Shu Ye: Like a knight in shining armor.

His purpose was to get to know Yue Ran and find out how and why she knew about the Exalted Sea Sect.

But why is the current plot diverging from what she, Qing Xi, understood at the beginning? She also used the same method as Yue Ran to make sure that Jiang Wen Xiu would take her (Qing Xi) into the Sky Breeze Sect, and even framed Yue Ran, again and again, to cause her to lose all of her reputation in the sect. This method is merely the basis of what would occur every time she (Qing Xi) would travel from one world to another in order to cut off all the fortuitous encounters, golden opportunities, and the luck of the female leads.

Logically speaking, she, Qing Xi, should not have done anything significant enough to trigger such a gigantic butterfly effect. Why, then, did the plot change so drastically in the end?!

Qing Xi: Why did the plot change so much?! This drastic change has never happened before in all the worlds I have traveled to in the past! Does the current chain of events even make any sense?! No, it does not!

On the other side of the deep mountains, on the vast open space encircled by layers of trees, a young woman's figure could be seen dancing. It was unknown how long she had been moving rhythmically to a nearly silent music (the sound of nature) when no instruments were in sight. No one was certain if the young woman was controlling her own body or if it was the flowing spiritual power of heaven and earth and the nature surrounding her that dictated where she would have to step next.

The dance could not be said to be beautiful and moving. It just had a different feeling—one so hard to describe if not felt at first hand, something that was rather mystical and a little shocking. Simply watching such a performance would help soothe the soul and make one feel comfortable. It was as though one was suddenly enlightened and became conscious of the gains and losses in this world.

Watching the dance would help one to open their eyes and learn to appreciate whatever they have instead of taking things, like the fresh air, for example, for granted.

Hai Bing Tu soon finished the dance. Although it took half an incense stick worth of time (seven and a half minutes), the two people watching on the side seemed to feel that time had been stretched out for a very long time. The final pose that Hai Bing Tu took was a lonesome pose with her feet stuck together and her hands hugging herself.

(*An incense stick worth of time: the phrase is used to describe a brief passing of time, which can be anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour.)

Yue Ran and Shu Ye had not entirely returned to their senses when Hai Bing Tu ended her dance. When they did, though, they could not help but applaud for a while.

But before they could say anything, they heard a muffled groan not far away. The location of the noise happened to be under the main seat of the hall, and a long, narrow staircase that extended downward into the abyssal darkness appeared on the ground.

"A hundred years have passed, but I can still remember these dance steps very clearly," Hai Bing Tu said with a somewhat melancholic sigh. The rabbit demon beast seemed a little tired yet still energetic. She turned her head and, for once in a long time, opened her eyes to gaze at the passage that led to the underground. A few glimmers of light appeared in her eyes before she closed them once again.
