Quick Transmigration: Irresistible Beauty
Chapter 264 - 264: The Gentle Psychiatrist (34)

"This is what I should do," the housekeeper said.

When the housekeeper saw that Cheng Ying had persisted in wanting to go out, he could no longer stop the young man and thus decided to send the young man to meet Yue Ran in person.

Cheng Ying found a pair of noise-canceling headphones and put them on before heading out. He suddenly felt a little uncomfortable for no reason. This may be because his heart was beating faster and faster, and so he felt a little nauseous during the ride to where Yue Ran was, knowing fully well that his destination was getting closer and closer to the young woman that he always found himself thinking of in his head.

"Doctor Yue, Mr. Lu is looking for you," Liu Zi said as she knocked on the door of Yue Ran's office.

Mr. Lu? Lu Yuan?

Yue Ran, who was working at his desk, frowned when she heard her words. She and Lu Yuan's appointment was not until the next weekend, not today. So why did Lu Yuan suddenly came over to see her? What did the young man want with her?

"Let him in," Yue Ran answered.

Hearing Yue Ran's answer from outside of the door, Lu Yuan pushed the door open and directly walked in while asking her, "Did you miss me?"

The young man who entered the room was wearing a casual white button shirt and a black suit, with a tie hanging loosely around his neck. He was smiling as he held a beautiful bouquet of brightly colored red roses in his hand.

Yue Ran looked at Lu Yuan's arrogant appearance before holding her forehead and let out a soft sigh. She then turned her head to Liu Zi and said, "You can go and do your work first. I am fine."

Yue Ran waved her hand to Liu Zi and asked her to go out first. But Liu Zi glanced at Lu Yuan, seeming a little wary of the young man's intention for coming without making an appointment first. But since Yue Ran had asked her to do so, then she could only relent.

"Okay, Doctor Yue," Liu Zi replied before heading back to continue her work, not forgetting to close the door of Yue Ran's office behind her.

With a click, the door was shut. Lu Yuan instantly closed his and Yue Ran's distance. And with the table separating them apart, the young man pushed the documents on Yue Ran's desk to the side with a smile, sat directly on her desk, and handed her the bouquet of roses in his hand.

"Your taste is too strong," Yue Ran said. "I do not like it very much. Take them away."

Yue Ran did not even bother to try to hide her disgust towards the young man at all. She pushed her chair back with the heel of her footwear while donning a cold face and lay her back on the chair in a relaxed posture. The wheels reeled back a little, widening the distance between the two.

Lu Yuan was not angry at the young woman's reaction and immediately threw the flowers into the only trash can inside the office as she had demanded.

"So, what did you find me for?" she asked.

Yue Ran folded her arms and raised a chin to look at the young man in front of her.

"I heard that Doctor Yue and a young policewoman were discussing the recent cases on the news," Lu Yuan said with a laugh, clasping his hands on his knees. "I have rushed over to find you in a hurry after hearing of this. And who knows if I might even be able to help you with this case. After all, who made me like Doctor Yue very much, right?"

Lu Yuan put one hand on the table and leaned his upper body towards the young woman sitting across him. Yue Ran did not move away from the young man this time, and a charming smile even bloomed on her face.

"So, what do you want?" she asked.

"Your question is really setting us far apart," Lu Yuan said with a small pout.

Lu Yuan showed a soft posture that no one else had ever seen before, and nodded sadly to her. Yue Ran instantly understood what the young man meant, and followed his intentions by raising a hand to rub his hair and give him the affection that he wanted so much.

It was also at this time that the door to her office was once again opened and an unexpected guest walked in, calling out Yue Ran's name.

"Yue Ran—"

The unexpected guest who came in is actually the male protagonist, Cheng Ying.

Cheng Ying: …

There was a strange pause.

"Sorry… I… I forgot… to knock… on the door," was all that Cheng Ying could say.

"Mr. Cheng, Mr. Cheng," Yue Ran heard Liu Zi's tired voice from outside the door. "Why… Why are you walking so fast? You just disappeared… in the blink of an eye."

"Cheng Ying?" Yue Ran looked over at the unexpected guest with a little surprise. "Why did you come to find me?"

Cheng Ying seemed to get a little uncomfortable. He was frowning and was even breathing heavily. It might be because of the black colour of Lu Yuan's suit that made him feel a little nauseous when he kept looking at it.

"Who is he?" It was Lu Yuan's turn to speak.

Lu Yuan was a little displeased that their two-person world was suddenly interrupted by an unimportant third party who just rushed inside the office. He then stared at the young man a distance to the door with a very unhappy gaze.

Cheng Ying's eyes met with Lu Yuan's in the air. Lu Yuan stared at him for two seconds before hearing Yue Ran's reply.

"He is also my patient," Yue Ran said.

This was the answer that the young woman gave to Lu Yuan.
