Chapter 1523: Chapter 81 Riches Visit the Immortal Palace, Rolled Up 2

Under the influence of the geography, the ferocious hurricanes and energy turbulence in the Hurricane Ocean gradually calmed down upon entering the Cold Moon Bay. Eventually, upon reaching the deepest part of the easternmost bay, they completely subsided, transforming into a surging tide of Spiritual Energy.

This tide of Spiritual Energy flowed eastward, eventually entering the Cold Moon Plateau.

The Cold Moon Plateau, located to the west of the Immortal City, is immensely vast, almost equivalent to half the size of a state, or more concretely, about four to five times the size of Longzuo County.

Its overall shape is also crescent, only the curvature is opposite to that of the Cold Moon Continent. The convex outer side is a wall of innumerable sheer cliffs, bordering the Cold Moon Bay to the west with sides extending sinuously outwards, forming grand mountain ranges to the northeast and southeast respectively.

The mountain range to the north is known as the Helan Mountain Range. It crosses from the southeast of Mobei state, running straight into Helan Province, spanning the entire territory of Helan Province, then entering Jing’an State, piercing through the entire northern border of Jing’an State, with its smaller ranges even stretching into the Chaotic Soul Ocean to the northeast of the continent, a journey spanning over a hundred thousand miles.

The mountain range to the south is called the Yan Chi Mountain Range. It also passes through Dragon Pool, Yan Chi, and Chuan Nan states, and continues to run into the boundless ocean on the southern side.

These two main mountain ranges extending from the Cold Moon Plateau stand tall and continuous, traversing through six of the Immortal Dynasty’s nine states, with countless smaller ranges deriving from them and covering nearly the entirety of the Immortal Dynasty.

For this reason, the Cold Moon Plateau is also known as the "Continental Backbone".

In its central area stands a forest of majestic peaks, towering grandly.

The highest, most magnificent, and most imposing mountain on the entire Cold Moon Continent is located here.

This mountain is named "Saint Emperor Peak".

The name of this mountain was personally conferred by the first Emperor of Cold Moon, in memory of the greatest leader of the Human race during the Divine Martial Dynasty Era — His Majesty the Divine Martial Saint Emperor.

Ever since, the Frost Moon Immortal Dynasty has considered itself the inheritor of the Divine Martial culture and spirit. Many of its laws also stem from the Divine Martial code, and even its writing and language are carried over from the Divine Martial Era. Therefore, from the establishment of the Frost Moon Immortal Dynasty to the present day, there has been immense reverence for this pioneering leader of the Human race who founded the Divine Martial Dynasty.

Saint Emperor Peak towers approximately ten thousand zhang high. Here, ten thousand zhang is not a mere figurative expression but an actual measure of its formidable height.

Looking down from a height of ten thousand zhang, the clouds are white and thick, resembling a layer of cotton candy spread over the land, obscuring most of the view. Only in the exceptionally sparse patches of cloud can one glimpse the outline of the land through the streaks of mist.

At this altitude, fierce winds blow year-round on Saint Emperor Peak, where few creatures can survive.

Forget about ordinary people; even Cultivators at the Vital Energy Refining Realm would struggle to last the duration of a stick of incense, likely to be frozen into icicles and then shredded by the fierce winds.

However, there exists a structure on this harsh Saint Emperor Peak.

It is a miraculous building that seems to only exist in the fantasies of humankind.

It floats in the grand expanse between the clouds, with an elliptical base supporting a vast series of exquisite and continuous palaces.

The palaces glow with a soft golden jade color when bathed in sunlight, appearing at first sight as if carved out of jade stone.

Above the palace complex, a variety of faintly visible colorful ribbons of light float in the air. These are part of the Defense Array constructed around the Heaven and Earth Melting Furnace at the heart of the Immortal Palace.

The ribbons revealed by the array are soft and hazy like thin fog, usually unobtrusive, but occasionally when the winds breeze through, they light up with brilliant colors, changing lusters in a most extraordinary fashion, much like the auroras.

This is indeed fitting of the description: "Jade railings and gilded tiles, adorned with brocaded radiance."

The rolling Sea of Clouds gently brushes past the palaces, rendering the entire Immortal Palace intermittently hidden and visible within the Sea of Clouds. From time to time, one might see cranes spiraling through the air, Auspicious Beasts walking on clouds, or brilliant rays of light flashing through the mists.

This scene, this view, is practically indistinguishable from the celestial palaces of people’s imaginations.

It is the renowned Immortal Palace!

It is also considered a Sacred Land by many nations and citizens within the Immortal Dynasty alliance.

Of course, when people refer to the Immortal Palace, it is not just about the Immortal Palace itself, which is the main body and headquarters. In fact, the real scope of the Immortal Palace includes several large and small Sacred Lands in the vicinity.

Each Sacred Land represents a Void Realm legacy.

Although there are differences in strength among Sacred Lands, even the weakest is still a Sacred Land, and only the most outstanding young individuals from the Frost Moon Immortal Dynasty and its allied nations are entitled to enter and cultivate there. If one has the chance to inherit the legacy of one of these places, it brings immense pride and honor to their ancestors.

At this moment.

In the midst of clouds swirling over the undulating mountain range.

Suddenly.

"Ao~~"

A distant dragon chant resounded.

Two seventy-zhang-long Level Seven Yimu Azure Dragons emerged from the mist, their forms majestic and vigorous, exhibiting extraordinary might, while pulling a flying carriage litter behind them.

For tens of thousands of years, the Yimu Azure Dragon clan has been subservient to the Frost Moon Immortal Dynasty. They have their own reserved Sacred Land within the Immortal Dynasty but are not part of the Sacred Lands of the Immortal Palace; instead, they are more akin to something like the direct-administered cities on Earth today.

Protected by the Immortal Dynasty and granted a certain degree of autonomy, the Yimu Azure Dragon clan has the obligation to contribute to the great wars against the Immortal Demon races and in battles beyond their domain.
