Project Seraphina [LitRPG, Magitech, GL]

The writing is passable. Unfortunately, the fascinating premise of someone from another world destroyed by system-apocalypse is undercut by the protagonist not remembering, really anything about the world they (maybe) reincarnated from, and instead it plays like a mostly straightforward system/gate apocalypse story. The reincarnation(?) is just an excuse for the protagonist to be calm in combat and be good at fighting, at least for the first 20 chapters.

The characters have personalities, in that they react to things that happen around them somewhat realistically, but they don't have any interesting reactions to what's happening. They don't even have any particular goals. 

I've read the first 20 chapters, and nothing really hooked me. I know 20 chapters is like nothing for the novels on this site, and maybe the story will pick up, but I couldn't help but find this too dull to continue reading. 

3 stars because even writing a meh novel is hard, I feel bad for only reading 20 chapters before reviewing, and some people might end up liking this.
