Chapter 197: Chapter 179, The Crisis of the Hua Xu Clan

The ethereal shadow beneath the ground rose and transformed into Pure Yang Qi, merging into the body of someone from Hua Xu Tribe.

Moments later, the person from Hua Xu Tribe opened their eyes, suddenly flipped over to get up, and alertly scanned the surroundings. Like a leopard they leapt out of the deep pit, hurriedly running towards the outside, a strong sense of panic arising in their heart for fainting without reason. It was a force beyond their understanding, one that could cause them to faint, and just as easily kill them.

Within Nuwa Palace, Nuwa had been waiting for long without Bai Jin’s return, and instantly became angry in her heart. How dare Ping Xin detain my person—the entire Wa Emperor Heaven was instantly filled with a raging aura.

...

Within the Underworld, Bai Jin picked some Spirit Fruit and busied herself making a bowl of fruit ice cream.

Bai Jin, holding a plate, walked into Pingxin Palace. The dish was shrouded in a layer of white light, the contents inside indiscernible.

Bai Jin offered up her creation, saying, "Niangniang, this is ice cream made from your Spirit Fruit. Please, have a taste."

Ping Xin stepped down from her throne with a smile and said, "Ice cream? Another one of your inventions?"

"Your insight sees through the universe, you discerned the truth in an instant."

Ping Xin laughed, waved her hand, and the Divine Light shrouding the plate instantly vanished, revealing an exquisitely crafted ice-white rabbit lying on the plate, its red eyes were two small Spirit Fruits.

Ping Xin’s eyes brightened, saying with a smile, "What a cute little thing."

Indeed, all girls like cute things, even Niangniang is no exception.

"Niangniang, it tastes even better."

"Then, I am very much looking forward to it," Ping Xin said with a laugh, and she walked out with Bai Jin.

Sitting in the outside garden, they enjoyed the ice cream while Bai Jin spun some interesting tales.

After finishing the ice cream, Ping Xin chuckled and said, "It’s like a pastry made of snow, no wonder it’s called ice cream."

"It’s thanks to your Spirit Fruit, Niangniang. I’ve made ice cream before while at Jie Sect, but it was never this delicious."

The two chatted and laughed for a while.

Suddenly, Ping Xin said, "Bai Jin, the reincarnation of Fu Xi has been born. Go and look after him; we cannot afford any mistakes."

"Yes!" Bai Jin stood up, bowed respectfully, and said solemnly, "Please inform me where the reincarnation of the great god Fu Xi has taken place."

Ping Xin waved her hand and a familiar sense of dizziness immediately came over.

Bai Jin had a moment of helplessness. Here we go again! Can’t it be a little more gentle? Her figure instantly disappeared in the Netherworld.

...

On the Primordial Land, within the Hua Xu Tribe, in a stone cave.

A disheveled big man paced back and forth within the cave, his eyes filled with surprise, anger, and panic.

Beside him on a chair, a woman with a pregnant belly sat, touching her abdomen with a gentle maternal glow in her eyes.

Outside the cave, many tribespeople gathered, all clamoring loudly.

"Kill the monster baby!"

"Kill the demon child!"

"Kill the demon fetus!"

...

The shouting was relentless.

The big man turned and walked outside, stood in front of the cave, and roared, "Silence, all of you!"

The clamouring instantly ceased.

A senior elder, with a righteous tone, called out, "Clan Leader, for the safety of our people, she must be killed."

The Clan Leader, angered, said, "Not only is Hua Xu my daughter, but she is also one of our tribespeople."

The elder coldly said, "She has become pregnant with a demon child from unknown origins, it will bring disaster to our tribe."

"That is not a demon child!"

"Pregnant for two years without giving birth, if not a demon child, then what?!" the elder shouted angrily.

All the tribespeople stepped forward, their eyes filled with murderous intent.

The Clan Leader staggered back uncontrollably, his eyes wide with shock and fear.

The leading elder shouted loudly, "Kill the demon child, protect the tribe!"

The other tribespeople also bellowed, "Kill the demon child, protect the tribe!"

"Kill the demon child, protect the tribe!"

...

The Clan Leader looked at the impassioned tribespeople, his face deathly pale, overcome by a deep sense of powerlessness.

The heavily pregnant woman of the Hua Xu Tribe walked out slowly from the cave, the shouting gradually quieted down, and everyone’s gaze turned to her.

The Clan Leader called out in panic, "Why have you come out? Get back inside now."

The woman of the Hua Xu Tribe said sadly, with her head lowered, "I will leave the tribe now, never to return, and ask the tribespeople to let me go."

The Clan Leader shouted in anger and dismay, "What nonsense are you talking about? You won’t survive out there."

The leading elder spoke up loudly, "Woman of the Hua Xu Tribe, I watched you grow up, I don’t wish to kill you, but for the safety of our tribe, we have to do this. You should understand."

The woman of the Hua Xu Tribe nodded and said, "I understand, therefore I am willing to leave."

The leading elder shouted, "Good! Clear the path."

All the tribespeople moved aside, creating a pathway for the woman of the Hua Xu Tribe to walk through.

Suddenly, a dark passageway formed in the sky, and a figure tumbled from within. After descending for a short distance, it abruptly stabilized in midair.

Bai Jin shook his head in the air and looked down.

The people of the Hua Xu Tribe below were thrown into a state of panic; some rushed to flee in all directions, while others raised their weapons toward Bai Jin.

Bai Jin descended from above, lightly landing on the ground before the woman of the Hua Xu Tribe, causing the surrounding tribespeople to hurriedly scatter in all directions.

The woman of the Hua Xu Tribe also stepped back in shock, clutching her belly.

The Clan Leader quickly stepped in front of her, and called out warily, "Who are you?"

"I am Bai Jin, disciple of the Eastern Sea Jie Sect!"

An elder from a distance murmured, "Bai Jin, that name sounds so familiar."

After a thousand years of change and incessant disasters, the Holy Envoy, once grateful to all of the Human Clan, has been forgotten by most, with only some larger tribes still maintaining vague statues of the Holy Envoy. Some smaller tribes have entirely forgotten the Holy Envoy’s existence, while others have only passed down a name, like the Hua Xu Tribe.

The Clan Leader snapped out of his reverie, and exclaimed, "Are you the legendary Holy Envoy? The Holy Envoy who saved our Human Clan as told in the legends?"

Bai Jin smiled and nodded, "The one you speak of is indeed me."

The Clan Leader quickly knelt down, shouting, "I pay my respects to the Holy Envoy!"

The other members of the Human Clan also knelt down, calling out excitedly, "We pay our respects to the Holy Envoy!"

Bai Jin gestured with his hand and said, "Everyone, please rise."

The Clan Leader cautiously asked, "Holy Envoy, what brings you here?"

Bai Jin looked toward the woman of the Hua Xu Tribe behind the Clan Leader and said with a smile, "I have come for her."

A look of worry flashed in the Clan Leader’s eyes.

The woman of the Hua Xu Tribe staggered back two steps, bit her teeth together, and turned to run.

The elder beside them hastily shouted in anger, "Catch her! Do not let the demon child escape."

Immediately, all the tribespeople rushed forward, blocking the woman of the Hua Xu Tribe’s retreat.

The Clan Leader turned his head to look at the woman of the Hua Xu Tribe, then at Bai Jin, and called out in a panic, "Holy Envoy, the woman of the Hua Xu Tribe has decided to leave, please let her live."

The woman of the Hua Xu Tribe turned to look at Bai Jin and was about to kneel down.
