Primordial World: Big shots are all my friends
Chapter 104, Running Away from Home

Chapter 104: Chapter 104, Running Away from Home

Before dawn broke, Bai Jin packed up his luggage, instructed Gu Liang and Shi Ji to look after the Tao Palace, then stealthily left alone, heading into the Primordial World in search of the legendary poetry and distance, planning to return only after his master had cooled down.

Half a month later, a majestic aura suddenly descended upon the East Sea.

Dang~

Dang~

Dang~

...

The sound of clear bell tones echoed over the East Sea.

All Jie Sect Disciples left the Tao Field and gathered towards Golden Turtle Island, entering into the Biyou Palace one after another.

Tongtian Sect Master was seated majestically in the central seat, radiating grandeur.

Jie Sect Disciples bowed down, kneeling on the cushions and respectfully called out: "Disciples pay respects to the Master~"

Tongtian Sect Master, from his principal seat, seeing the hundreds of disciples below, suddenly felt a jolt in his heart, an ominous sensation rising, wondering why there were so few. He immediately asked, "Duobao, where are those new Outer Disciples I recently accepted?"

Duobao respectfully replied, "All the newly accepted disciples have been taken away by junior brother Bai Jin."

Shi Ji hurriedly stood up, somewhat fearfully and bowed, "Master, most of the new disciples accepted by you were expelled from the sect by senior brother, only thirteen remained."

Tongtian’s eyes widened suddenly, out of five thousand disciples only thirteen left? A wave of heartache like going bankrupt surged within him, angrily he asked, "What was the reason this time?"

Shi Ji bowed his head, speaking softly, "Senior brother said our Jie Sect can’t afford to get identity cards anymore."

Tongtian’s voice suddenly raised a few notches, exclaiming, "Out of money?! Where is he?"

"Uh, that, senior brother ran away, said he wanted to go far to see."

A few suppressed laughs rang out below, many disciples barely holding back their laughter.

Tongtian Sect Master shouted, "Duobao!"

Duobao quickly stood up, respectfully bowing with his head lowered, not daring to speak.

"Didn’t I ask you to spread the Tao to them? How come they were all expelled by Bai Jin?"

Duobao respectfully said, "Junior brother Bai Jin went to the disciple Tao Field, forcefully led them all away, saying he was going to get them identity cards, and I believed it."

Tongtian, looking at the empty Tao Palace below, spoke disheartenedly, "Let’s go! Everyone return, no Tao preaching today."

All Jie Sect Disciples stood up, bowed respectfully and said, "Disciples take leave!" and all turned to leave the Biyou Palace.

In the empty grand hall, the more Tongtian thought about it, the more uneasy he felt, waving his hand and a mirror surfaced in front of him, displaying Bai Jin’s image within it. He appeared disheveled, walking amidst desolate mountains and fields, even bearing bloodstains on his body, having evidently just gone through a battle.

Tongtian raised his finger, somewhat agitated.

Suddenly, a voice from outside rang out, "Wudang seeks to see the Master!"

Tongtian lowered his hand and said, "Come in!"

Wudang walked into the grand hall, raised her eyes to see the floating image in the air, bowed and said, "Greetings Master!"

"Are you here to plead for Bai Jin?"

Wudang straightened up, smiling, "Not exactly pleading, Master, you have never really been angry at junior brother."

Tongtian looked at the figure in the image, snorted, and said, "He’s really become bold now, daring to expel even the disciples I accepted. He is defying the heaven!"

Wudang Saint replied, "Junior brother Bai Jin also did it for Master’s sake; in my humble opinion, Master, accepting so many disciples at once was indeed somewhat inappropriate."

"Why didn’t you speak then?"

Wudang Saint lightly chuckled and responded, "Master’s divine wisdom illuminates Heaven and Earth. There must be a reason for such actions. We, being dull-minded, are blinded just by a single leaf blocking our view and dare not speak recklessly."

Tongtian sighed deeply and said, "You all are very wise, only Bai Jin is a big fool."

These disciples all realized that accepting so many Outer Disciples at once wasn’t proper, but the only one who dared to contradict him was Bai Jin. He felt both annoyed and somewhat comforted by Bai Jin’s actions, yet he was also worried. Bai Jin is so straightforward and inflexible, he might suffer great losses in the future.

Suddenly, a singing voice arose from the mirror: "Children who leave home wander outside,

Without fine clothes or superior elixirs,

Firmly heading toward the distant dreams, encountering Witch Demons en route,

Tears inside their heart, sweat flowing on their face.

Children who leave home, struggling to sleep at night,

Thinking of the faraway master, tears cover their face,

Spring has brought blooming flowers, autumn the falling leaves,

Winter has brought snow, you mustn’t catch cold,

..."

Both Tongtian Sect Master and Wudang looked up at the mirror, where Bai Jin was walking and humming a tune.

Wudang Saint’s face showed a peculiar smile and she asked, "Master, perhaps we should let junior brother Bai Jin come back? It’s really dangerous out there, and the junior brother seems to be having a hard time."

Tongtian felt both annoyed and amused at once, grumbling, "Let him run. Isn’t he gaining experience? He even learned to run away from home. I’m curious to see how long he can last! Once he’s had enough hardship, he’ll come back on his own. Wudang~"

"Disciple here!"

"Was Bai Jin’s Tao Palace called the White Palace, correct?"

"Yes!"

With a command from Tongtian, he demanded, "Take my Dharma Seal, and change it for me, turn the White Palace into the Bird’s Nest."

Wudang Saint responded helplessly, "Master, isn’t it a bit inappropriate? A Saint Disciple’s Tao Palace called a... Bird’s Nest."

"What’s wrong with that? He is indeed a little bird."

Tongtian Sect Master waved his hand, a Dharma Seal flew out and floated in front of Wudang Saint, urging, "Go quickly!"

With no choice, Wudang Saint replied, "Yes!" She respectfully took the Dharma Seal and walked outside.

Wudang Saint left Golden Turtle Island, riding a cloud amidst mist and flew across the calm sea surface, arriving above the Three Lights Immortal Island in the south, causing a stir of roosting birds as she descended.

Wudang Saint stepped on the fragrant lush grass and walked to the front of the Tao Palace. She took out the Dharma Seal, which emitted an immortal light that pierced directly through the Palace’s Array defenses and branded itself on the Palace gates. The original symbols "White Palace" vanished, replaced by the brand new symbols "Bird’s Nest".

Shaking her head helplessly yet smiling, Wudang Saint conceded to Bird’s Nest then! Being personally graced with a name by the Master, you are the first, she thought, as she turned and elegantly departed.

Walking through the forest, Bai Jin sneezed repeatedly, touched his nose, and continued forward. Not sure if the direction the Old Dragon King suggested was correct, why hasn’t he reached Human Clan yet?!

Suddenly, a pair of pristine white wings stretched out from his back, his figure soared into the sky with a flap of wings, transforming into a beam of light and darting forward. With incredible speed, everything around him blurred, and the swift light wrapped around his figure shuttled through the void, stirring up wisps of cloud and thunder.

This was the Speed Dao he had comprehended while listening to Fu Xi play the zither at Buzhou Mountain; speed chasing the wind and pursuing the moon, a spirit free and untroubled, chasing the power of thunder and lightning, embracing the vast Heaven and Earth in his heart.

Half a month later, Bai Jin arrived south of Buzhou Mountain, walking amongst various Human Clan Tribes, observing the development of the Human Clan.

The long days and nights of the Primordial World had a significant impact on the Human Clan, especially as nighttime fell and wild beasts roamed, making hunting and staying warm massive challenges. Even though there were Immortals from the Human Clan using their immortal power to light up the tribes, it still felt like a drop in the bucket.
