Chapter 150: Surging Undercurrents... Heading To The Collapsing Immortal World!
"Sister, is everything alright? You just vomited a mouthful of blood," Kevin’s sound transmission resounded in her mind.
"Using that ability cost me quite a bit. No need to worry about it. I’ll naturally get better."
"Alright sister, take care of yourself. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask." Kevin gave a few words of comfort to Kathryn. After that, he found a place to sit down and recover a part of his essence.
Kranos, who was seated by the side, waited until her face had regained some color before walking up to her and asking, "Are you alright?"
He had seen the attack she had used previously, and he could tell it must have taken a toll on her. Because of this, he was slightly worried about whether Kathryn could still lead him to heal his soul.
Although his thoughts were cold-hearted, Kranos understood that he was still with Kathryn because of what she was planning. Since he didn’t fully understand what an anomaly was, he would rather get the soul treasure and return to his peaceful life, away from the troubles that an anomaly brought.
Kathryn didn’t know what thoughts were going through Kranos’s mind. However, she smiled at him. "I’m alright, nothing to worry about."
But Kranos noticed that as she spoke, her breath was somewhat irrational, and she seemed weakened. He understood that she was trying to put up a brave front. He sighed but didn’t say anything. Since she was an elf, she must know some sort of healing spells. It would take some time, but she would definitely get healed.
Changing the topic, he said, "Are we headed to the place?"
Kathryn nodded. "I’ve purposely slowed down the speed of the ship, so we will reach there at the last moment. Going now would only be dangerous."
Kranos nodded. However, in his mind, he was slightly curious. How did she know that the place would be dangerous at this time? Had she been there before? Although he was puzzled, he didn’t voice out his question.
After getting the information he needed, he no longer had anything to say. Since he rarely interacted with others, he hadn’t fully developed the habit of talking much.
Kathryn noticed and spoke up, clearing the awkward air. "I’ll head over to the corner and recover my mana before trying to heal myself."
Kranos then nodded. "In that case, I’ll do the same." Previously, his mana had almost been exhausted after all the fights. So now he could fully recover his mana.
After that, silence descended on the starship as everyone was immersed in their cultivation.
...
Meanwhile, multiple Immortal Worlds close by were in an uproar. They had received the news of the imminent collapse of the Solvent Immortal World.
The Solvent Immortal World was similar to Kranos’s Immortal World, with similar cultivation paths. However, the only race present there was humans. They had the sect system instead of the academic system present in Kranos’s world.
After spreading the information to the various Immortal Worlds they were in contact with, the elder waited for their reply. And soon, after a week, he finally received the information he wanted to hear from the various Immortal Worlds.
"We will send the geniuses of our various worlds to take up the resources in your world. Then we will naturally let you all come to whichever Immortal World you choose."
This was the decision that the various Immortal Lords had come to. Initially, they wanted to plunder the resources themselves and then wait. But the range of strength varied greatly, as some Immortal Worlds were far weaker than others.
Because of this, they decided to send all those below the age of fifty to go and explore the whole Immortal World, taking whatever treasures they found.
Of course, their life and death would also be in their own hands, as the Immortal Lords had come to an agreement that none of them would interfere, no matter the cost.
With that, the news began to spread amongst the various Immortal Worlds. The news also reached the Black Rain Pavilion through some means.
...
The mysterious flawless beauty, who was sitting on a rock just like before, opened her eyes slightly to glance at Aurora, who sat by the side, pouting. Since she came back, she had been frowning due to her failure to capture Kranos, or at least kill him.
She felt her master had been disappointed in her. However, her master understood that Kranos wasn’t fated to be kidnapped that day. After all, from Aurora’s explanation, she understood that an anomaly was by his side. Because of this, she also started paying attention to the things happening in Kranos’s Immortal World.
There had been no news of him, and similarly, there was nothing particularly interesting, until she caught wind of the collapsing Immortal World, which could potentially have a divine treasure or be the inheritance ground of a divine expert.
Because of this, she had the thought to let Aurora go and mingle with those of a similar generation, and also to get her mind off her disappointment and see if she could take some treasures along the way.
Although such treasures were useless to the people of the Black Rain Pavilion, as they held many secrets that would even cause countless Divine Worlds to act, they could still be amusing to collect.
After thinking about all this, her pleasant voice drifted to Aurora.
"I have good news for you."
Hearing her words, Aurora’s eyes lit up. "Master, have you sensed the time cultivator again?"
The flawless beauty chuckled. "Not him, silly. I found a place for you to have fun for a while. You can take a lot of treasures while you’re there."
"Really?" Aurora’s eyes lit up but then dimmed. She mumbled under her breath, "But Master, I wanted to catch that time cultivator. Or at least a time cultivator."
Her master noted her expression, then said with a chuckle, "Who knows? What if you see him there too? I heard that all the geniuses of various Immortal Worlds will be there. As a time cultivator, he can be considered a terrifying genius, not inferior to you."
