"Let me try it," Kang Jihoon volunteered himself, coming forward with his two Pokémon.

"Another one who has a Grass attribute," Floyd observed, noting that only two individuals had Pokémon with Grass attributes: Hoang Mai Phuong's Hoppip, and Bianca's Chikorita.

"Bianca, come here; I need your Chikorita's help," Floyd called out, already acquainted with her, and besides, Chikorita and Squirtle had almost identical attack and Special Attack base stats.

Bianca, who had been quietly observing from the side, blushed deeply when Floyd called her name. She was momentarily paralyzed, not knowing how to react.

The other females couldn't help but snicker, seeing how Floyd had called both Chen Xin and Bianca, recalling the bath incident and considering Floyd's actions to be somewhat ambiguous.

"Eh, is there something wrong?" Floyd, noticing their odd expressions and puzzled by what they might mean, asked Bianca again, "Bianca?"

"Aye," replied Bianca. She stood up, filled with nervous hesitation, then walked slowly toward him while lowering her head. Her face was deeply red; she loathed that she had become so paranoid about anything related to Floyd since the bath incident.

Swablu flew to rest on top of Bianca's head, greeting Floyd with her wings, followed by Bianca's other Pokémon who followed silently.

Floyd gave Swablu a nod then directed his gaze at Chikorita, "Can you come in here?" He motioned for Chikorita to step forward.

At first, Chikorita felt anxious, but recognizing Floyd—the kind man who had given them a share of delicious food—she nodded and moved forward confidently.

"What we're doing now is to test the defensive and attack capabilities of both Squirtle and Shuckle, alongside Chikorita, all of whom are in the early rookie stage. Squirtle has a type advantage over Shuckle, and Chikorita has a type advantage over Squirtle," Floyd explained to them.

"First, you, Squirtle, must use your Water Gun to attack Shuckle, while you, Shuckle, will use your defensive move against Squirtle's attack," Floyd added, detailing the procedure.

Shuckle, feeling anxious, looked at her owner Chen Xin, who was not quite herself at the moment, remaining silent.

Moments later, Squirtle executed his Water Gun attack on Shuckle. Shuckle, in turn, retreated into her shell as she received the onslaught. Her shell began to spin, moving her back a few meters, stopping a few seconds later.

Shuckle, experiencing slight discomfort, panted as she cautiously peeked out of her shell; upon seeing that the coast was clear, she emerged.

"It's quite remarkable, considering that Squirtle's Water-type move is effective against your type, yet you still managed to hold out," Floyd commended Shuckle, then thought to himself, 'She truly deserved her high Defense and Special Defense of 200+ on each base stats.'

"Now, Chikorita, it's your turn. Use your Vine Whip against Squirtle," Floyd instructed, already aware of Chikorita's inherent Vine Whip ability.

"Chikori—Chiko!" Chikorita responded affirmatively and then proceeded to use her Vine Whip on Squirtle. Squirtle, reacting defensively, was knocked back a few meters, feeling the pain of the hit.

"Squirtle," Kang Jihoon called out, rushing toward his Pokémon. Floyd quickly took out some healing powder, applying it to Squirtle's body, and then did the same for Shuckle.

"Do you notice the difference? Both received hits from super-effective moves, yet Shuckle proved to be more resilient. This isn't because Squirtle is weak; rather, it's because Squirtle's talents are not limited to defense but also include Attack, Special Attack, and other areas," Floyd clarified.

"The purpose of this demonstration is because I have surmised that Shuckle possesses exceptional talent in Defense and Special Defense but has less stamina, attack, and special attack capabilities. Her speed isn't remarkable either, so if you're going to train Shuckle, you should focus on enhancing her defensive and special defensive skills," Floyd explained, turning his attention to Chen Xin.

Chen Xin listened to his advice as she watched Shuckle slowly crawl toward her. "How can it battle if it's slow? For sure, this Shuckle will be a target since it's slow. Although its defense and special defense are strong, as you said, I guess it will not be invincible. It can't defend against every attack indefinitely; there should be a limit," Kang Jihoon mused, stroking his chin as he pondered Shuckle's characteristics. He had already observed this Shuckle many times and everyone knew this Pokémon was very slow.

"You also mentioned that its stamina, attack, and special attack are quite poor, right?" Ivan chimed in.

"That's because not all creatures are suited for battle. Training can make them stronger, but it also depends on their desires. I think you're familiar with Chansey; this creature can be trained for battle, but its talent for healing is far superior to fighting, isn't it? This Shuckle has a unique ability to store berries in its body and decompose them into Berry Juice, which is even more delicious than what I've made. It's beneficial for both humans and creatures," Floyd explained.

"There are creatures that may not have offensive talents but have been gifted with talents in defense, healing, accelerating food production growth, among other supportive abilities. This Shuckle is one of them," Floyd added.

"Just like what happened earlier," Chen Yu recalled how Cherrim used Sunny Day with the help of other Pokémon to rapidly grow the seed.

"Yes," Floyd nodded.

"Then I shouldn't let her battle, if that's the case," Chen Xin said, concerned as she patted her Shuckle.

"It depends. Just because they have limited offensive capabilities doesn't mean they can't battle. Every creature has its uses, and not all moves are offensive. There are supporting moves that can disrupt the opponent," Floyd reflected on some frustrating cheesy tactics from his past battles, having been on the receiving end himself.

"Let's proceed to their offensive abilities…" Floyd continued his lecture, and after a few hours, everyone dispersed, trying to digest all that he had taught them.

Floyd planned to collect some ripe produce he had made last week from the Beast Sanctuary. As he walked, he saw Bianca with disheveled hair, quietly arguing with Swablu as they hid in the bushes.

"Swablu, if you start to get noisy, Starly will notice us," Bianca whispered, troubled by the little bird.

"Tweeet... Tweeet," Swablu cried (Bianca, you must save her; she's going to hurt herself).

Swablu's face was streaked with tears as she pointed with her wings toward Starly, who was injuring herself during training. Taillow, Poochyena, and Chikorita also felt sad but didn't dare to approach without Bianca's command.

Even though Bianca couldn't understand Swablu's words, she comprehended the gestures. "I know. Let me just find an opportunity to reach her because if she sees us, she'll run away," she reassured Swablu.

"Tweeet... Tweeet," Swablu persisted (You must hurry), tugging at her hair.

"Swablu, that hurts. Look at my hair; it's a mess again. If you keep pulling my hair, I might go bald," Bianca whispered to Swablu, feeling a mix of pain and embarrassment.

"Tweeet... Tweeet," Swablu responded (So, you must save her, or you'll go bald).

Floyd, overhearing their conversation, looked in the direction they were focused on and saw Starly repeatedly crashing into a tree. This was Ren Mingzhe's Starly, and Floyd recognized her immediately.
