Chapter 875: Molly

"Sigh"

Everyone was looking at him for the answer.

"So, who is it?", asked Cynthia.

"I don’t know. Some of them are good in tide battles. Some of them are good in normal battles. All of them are good."

"Oh come on. Everyone has a favorite and everyone knows who is the strongest Pokemons in their team. So, spill it.", said Cynthia.

She really wanted to know the answer to that.

"Ok, if I have to select one of them, then I will choose Shedinja. Marcus."

Meanwhile, Cynthia was surprised by the answer.

"You are saying that Charizard is not the strongest in your team?"

"Well, it is very powerful but Marcus is just good at strategizing. So, I believe that it is stronger than Charizard."

Cynthia had a unique glow in her eyes. She really wanted to meet with this Shedinja but she found out that it was not here right now.

"Marcus is actually a leader of my Pokemon team. It is more mature and fulfills its leadership roles. It is also very powerful and quite fast."

"Yes, I have seen it fight. It is almost unbeatable.", remarked Lance.

"Then why is it not participating in the competition?"

"Well, it is somewhere else training to become more powerful, and frankly it doesn’t care about the competition."

The talks went on like that for the entire knight. Cynthia came to realize that there was more to Axel than what she had excepted.

She had seen Marcus barely alive when it was searching for help for Axel. At that time, she never thought that it was the strongest Pokemon in his team. She was eager to meet this Pokemon again in the future.

The next day,

Alon’s Dusclops was very powerful but it could not stand against Cynthia’s Roserade. As the ranks went up, Axel began to realize that Cynthia’s Pokemons were getting exceptionally stronger.

Tauros got a pass and Pidgeot won this round too. Now, there were only 4 Pokemons left.

Pidgeot, Tauros, Roserade and Arcanine.

The next battle was not going to go well for Cynthia’s Pokemons. Because Roserade was going to face Pidgeot, it was weak to flying type moves and Pidgeot won the battle without any serious injuries.

The battle between Tauros and Arcanine was something that Axel had been waiting for quite some time.

Arcanine was one of the main Pokemons of Lance and it was quite powerful. It was also very close to reaching tier 2 king rank. Tauros had also been training for quite some time and it was also not to be underestimated.

’I can only be with you for 3 minutes. You will have to finish this battle in 3 minutes, came inside Tauros’s head.

This was the spirit that Tauros had cultivated while it was training outside. As of right now, the spirit could not do much cause it was not here physically. But it could still support Tauros in their time of need.

Arcanine used the move ’Sunny day’ and also used ’Flame wheel’ to start the attack. It was also a physical attacker but Tauros had a lot of defense and also very high attack power.

Yet, Arcanine was faster than Tauros. But that didn’t mean that Tauros was going to lose so easily.

It immediately used the move ’Electric terrain’ and then used the move ’Sandstrom’. The use of 2 terrain moves drastically changed the surroundings of the battle stadium. One might expect Tauros to struggle a little while using those moves but it was not showing any of those signs.

Both of the moves were extremely powerful and had a massive impact on the area. All of them also saw that Tauros was faster in those terrain and very quickly it was able to paralyze Arcanine with ’Thunder bolt’ and ’Thunder wave’.

Then it started to smash it with physical moves like ’Horn attack’ and ’Iron tail’. Arcanine looking that it was losing the battle used ’Moonlight’ to heal itself and then it fired up a powerful ’Over heat’ towards Tauros.

Tauros was hit by that attack. It was a powerful attack but everyone was surprised as Tauros stood up and got ready to fight.

That was a fully powered ’Over heat’ move and Tauros acted as if it was not even hurt. It was bleeding but it was acting as if it was not injured a bit.

"That is some tough Tauros.", commented Steven.

"Yes, but why is it so strong and different?"

"We have to ask Axel about it."

As they were discussing how good Axel’s Tauros was, Tauros changed its fighting style immediately.

’We don’t have much time. We need to assimilate right now. That Arcanine will not lose with only your efforts’, said Molly to Tauros.

’Alright let’s do it.’

Tauros started to glow in green and blue light as if it was ranking up and all of its previous injuries started to heal. Suddenly, everyone could feel that it had gotten very powerful in an instant for some reason.

The aura of Tauros alone created a suction force that was sucking Arcanine towards it. Tauros didn’t hesitate as it rushed towards Arcanine and tackled it in the face. It was flown high on the sky and Tauros followed it as it kicked the air and started to climb on the sky and delivered a devastating tackle from its horns.

Arcanine went down and it didn’t stand up again. The glow that was covering Tauros disappeared instantly and everyone could see that it was a huffing for more air. It looked a bit tired but that was understandable.

"I don’t know what that Pokemon did but for a few seconds, I felt that it was more powerful than a tier 1 king rank Pokemon.", said Cynthia.

"Yes, I feel that too. How could Axel’s Pokemons create such a powerful move every time? I just don’t understand this."

After the battle, it was just Pidgeot Vs Tauros and for some reason, Tauros surrendered the fight and Pidgeot won the battle.

Tauros earned a lot of Boos but it didn’t care.

"The end was a... not something that we hoped for but we must applaud Pidgeot for winning this round. It showed how good it really is."

The people clapped for Pidgeot as it held its chest high for winning the king rank Pokemon battle.

"Now, for the tier 2 king rank battle. The same rule applies and we will give them an hour. Let’s see who is going to participate in this tide battle."

The commanders also participated in this round. All of them had at least 1 tier 2 king rank Pokemon. They would not be called commanders if they didn’t even have one tier 2 king rank Pokemon.

Absol didn’t want to participate in the competition and Axel didn’t force it. The main contenders for this battle from Axel’s team were Venusaur and Gyarados. Gogoat, Mamoswine, and Steelix didn’t want to participate in the battle.

They felt that these competitions were too childish.

There were some commanders that didn’t participate in this round. Axel asked them the reason and they said that they didn’t want to reveal all of it to the outsiders.

Axel could understand it at some point. They were not wrong. Even though all of them were friends, this competition was being broadcast to the entire world. Agnes and Noah had worked really hard to achieve it and they didn’t want the whole world to know all of their secrets.

"Maybe I should also hide some of my secrets too.", said Axel to himself.

The first round started and Axel’s Gyarados got eliminated by Lance’s Salamence. It was a very close battle but Salamence won.

"Yes, that is what I am talking about!!!", shouted Lance from the top of his lungs. He just could not believe that he won against Axel’s Pokemon.

"Dude, you do realize that Gyarados is not one of his main Pokemon but your Salamence is?", asked Steven.

"But I still won."

It was quite common for Gyarados to lose. Salamence was a dragon-type Pokemon and it had very high defense and attack stat. Gyaraodos was also very powerful but it could not top the defense of a dragon type Pokemon trained by a trainer who specializes in training dragon type Pokemons.

Very soon 6 of them were selected from the first round and today’s battle was already over.

At night,

"Now, tell us what was all that about?", asked Lance to Axel.

"What do you mean?"

"About your Tauros, of course. You said that we should share and not keep any secrets but you seem to be keeping a lot of them."

"Oh come on!! I am not going to tell you everything about my Pokemons. I don’t think that you have also done it."

"Yes, but you know that what happened with Tauros is different.", said Cynthia.

As Axel found himself surrounded by his so-called friends asking for answers, he could not tell them to go and say nothing. And it was not that he didn’t want to share it but he didn’t know much about it.

Tauros never shared him much. It just gave him the brief details. So, he called Tauros to explain them.

"Ronan, explain about Molly. Keep it brief.", said Axel.

Tauros didn’t have any problem sharing it because it knew that others could not replicate it.

So, now Tauros was surrounded by Cynthia, Lance, Steven, Noah, and Agnes looking for answers.

"Axel told me to train in a certain place. The place was filled with Tauros like me and I had to pass a test to get into their herd. I never met the leader of the herd. It was said that he was too powerful and lived in a different dimension."

"What was the test?"

"The test was to break a Prince Oak tree. But there was a catch. We cannot use any of our moves to break it. We must break it with our pure physical powers."

"What is this Prince Oak tree?", asked Steven.

"I have heard of it. It is supposed to be a very strong and stable tree. Royal Oak trees are far stronger and more powerful than Prince Oak trees, though. Anyway, go on.", said Noah.

"There was a legend in our group that if we are able to communicate with the spirit of the Prince Oak tree, then we can get access to a personal spirit that would help us in every way.

Everyone believed that it was a legend because currently, there was no Tauros who had done it. It was just a legend where one Tauros was able to do it 1000s of years ago.

Well, I was able to do it and create this spirit and her name is Molly. She now helps me in battles and makes me stronger in the time of need. That is what you saw in the previous battle."

"But if you were so powerful from that spirit, then why didn’t you battle Pidgeot in the finals."

"Because Molly is evolving and it is stuck in that forest where I trained. It is not fully and physically here so it can only help me out here for a limited amount of time. I knew that if I didn’t use the powers of Molly against Pidgeot, I would lose because it is very powerful.

So, I surrendered."
