Chapter 93 - 93 93 Catching the Adulterer
Chapter 93: Chapter 93 Catching the Adulterer Chapter 93: Chapter 93 Catching the Adulterer Zhou Jin’an flung aside the blanket and stuffed Qiao En into it.
His movements were extremely quick, and he wrapped up the tiny bundle of Qiao En tightly.
Before Qiao En could figure out what Zhou Jin’an was planning, An Kexin had already entered the room with the guest service personnel.
“Brother An, what are you doing here?”
Upon seeing Zhou Jin’an, An Kexin feigned great surprise.
“Shouldn’t I be here?”
he countered, his eyes as cold as frost.
“Of course, Brother An can be here. I just didn’t expect that Brother An would be staying at a hotel alone.”
An Kexin was just making conversation.
Zhou Jin’an partially blocked the view of Qiao En, who was shrinking under the blanket.
“What are you doing here?”
He took the initiative.
“I came to see Secretary Qiao. She called me saying she wanted to talk about something, so here I am. I didn’t expect you to be here, Brother An.”
“You’ve come to the wrong place.”
Zhou Jin’an withdrew his gaze and said coldly.
“No, it’s right here.”
An Kexin slid open her phone, pulling up WeChat, insisting on showing Zhou Jin’an the message.
Zhou Jin’an’s eyes darkened. He looked at the guest service personnel standing awkwardly and said, “Check who booked this room?”
The guest service’s efficiency was very high, and they found the information within ten seconds.
“Room 3201 was booked by a Mr. Zhou!”
“Impossible.”
An Kexin immediately denied it.
This room was booked in Qiao En’s name; there couldn’t be any mistake.
Last night, she had someone drug Qiao En and brought her here. Using Qiao En’s fingerprint, she unlocked her phone, messaged Zhou Jin’an, and even called herself.
She had arranged for people to stake out the hotel lobby all night. Zhou Jin’an hadn’t left, and neither had Qiao En.
She had come early in the morning for an “appointment” to catch him in the act.
“What’s impossible?”
Zhou Jin’an’s eyes narrowed.
His gaze was like a knife, forcing An Kexin into a corner where she couldn’t escape.
“Get out.”
Zhou Jin’an issued an eviction order.
An Kexin didn’t budge, still suspecting that Zhou Jin’an’s pretentious action was to cover something up.
“Brother An, is there some misunderstanding between us? Can we talk about it?”
As she spoke, her eyes darted around every corner of the room.
Suddenly, she noticed the blanket on the bed move.
Her eyes immediately gleamed with a cunning light.
Quickly, she moved towards the bed and reached out to grab something.
But at that moment, Zhou Jin’an’s tall, impressive figure overshadowed her.
“Why haven’t you left yet?”
He blocked An Kexin.
Step by step, he pressed forward, and step by step, she was forced to retreat.
Her back was already against the wall.
“Brother An, I have a lot to say to you.”
An Kexin tried to worm her way past Zhou Jin’an, but he grabbed her wrist.
An Kexin winced in pain, her eyes instantly welling with tears.
She looked demure and alluring, her tears making her seem even more pitiable.
Hidden in the blanket, Qiao En didn’t dare breathe deeply but soon began to feel suffocated.
While An Kexin and Zhou Jin’an tangled, she crawled out from under the blanket and stuffed a pillow inside it.
Next to the bedside table was a wardrobe, its door half-open. Qiao En, petite as she was, easily slipped inside. To keep people off her scent, she didn’t close the door.
“Kexin, what are you doing here?”
Just then, An Jinhua’s voice came from outside the door.
Early in the morning, all the An siblings had shown up at the hotel, such a coincidence!
“Director Zhou is here as well?”
An Jinhua’s gaze fell on Zhou Jin’an, who was still holding onto An Kexin’s wrist.
His eyes narrowed, and a cold smirk appeared on his obscure face, “What is this about?”
“Second Brother, Jin’an and I are just playing around!”
An Kexin cleverly took the opportunity to cling to Zhou Jin’an’s arm, her seductive body pressing close to his.
An Jinhua’s cold smile intensified, “Director Zhou, Kexin is my only younger sister. You must take good care of her!”
As he spoke, his gaze slid over Jin’an’s face and went directly into the room behind him.
“I need to use your restroom.”
Without waiting for a response, he entered the room, heading straight for the restroom.
Jin’an peeled Kexin’s hands off him, turned his head towards the bed, and his tightened eyes relaxed slightly.
When An Jinhua emerged from the restroom, he didn’t leave but made himself at home in the inner room.
“Director Zhou sure knows how to set a mood! Leaving a mansion to stay in a hotel!”
He laughed, his eyes scanning every corner of the room as if they were scanners.
Suddenly, his gaze fell on the bed.
The pillow Qiao En had shoved in there had a bulge that looked suspiciously like a person lying underneath.
“Oh, there’s someone else in the bed? Let me see who it is,” he said.
An Jinhua then quickly pulled back the blanket.
Kexin’s eyes widened.
However, to her disappointment, there was no one under the blanket, just a pillow lying across it.
“Impossible, there was definitely someone here just now.”
Kexin was dumbfounded.
She rushed over, flipping the blanket back and forth and even kneeling on the floor to peer under the bed.
Jin’an did not stop her.
He stood there, his face looking extremely grim.
An Jinhua rubbed his hands together and forced a smile, “Director Zhou, don’t be offended, it was just a joke.”
“I mind,” Jin’an responded coldly, not giving him any face.
Kexin was still frantic, unable to believe that a full-grown person would just vanish.
She checked under and above the bed; she even looked behind the curtains, but she couldn’t find Qiao En anywhere.
Jin’an did not interfere, merely watching her coldly.
“Miss An, what exactly are you looking for?”
Unable to maintain his composure, An Jinhua grasped Kexin’s wrist tightly, his voice low as he reprimanded, “Enough, isn’t this embarrassing enough for you?”
“Second brother, she must still be here,” Kexin insisted firmly.
An Jinhua, no longer willing to indulge her madness, let go of Kexin’s hand and stormed toward the door.
But Jin’an reached out to stop him, “President An, you should stop scheming against me whether or not I remain CEO of Nanchen, you stand no chance.”
His words were heavily laden with animosity.
An Jinhua, feeling humiliated, replied, “We shall see.”
He hastened his pace and left; Kexin quickly followed him out.
“You can come out now, it’s safe,” Jin’an said as he closed the door and turned to Qiao En.
She crawled out of the wardrobe.
The most dangerous place could sometimes be the safest, and neither An Jinhua nor Kexin had expected that she would hide in the semi-open wardrobe.
“Is An Jinhua eyeing Nanchen?” Qiao En asked, filled with suspicion. She couldn’t help but ask.
“Yes, their antics today were meant to catch me in a trap to target Nanchen,” Jin’an explained.
“Mr. Zhou has a ‘weak spot’?”
Qiao En asked with a smirk, understanding the implications well.
The An siblings had come to catch them in an act, merely to turn Qiao En into a tool for blackmailing Jin’an. Caught in a compromising situation, to settle things quietly, he would either have to sacrifice her, his ‘weak spot’, or pay a steep price for her release.
Jin’an raised his hand and lightly tapped Qiao En’s forehead, “You are my ‘weak spot’, didn’t you know?”
“If it’s just a ‘weak spot’, why not just cut it off?”
Qiao En spoke sharply.
Jin’an changed his clothes and looked deeply at Qiao En, “Not cutting, no matter what.”
Although Kexin and An Jinhua had botched their act, they were not about to give up.
Qiao En asked casually, “How does Director Zhou plan to punish those who caught your ‘weak spot’?”
“Guess,” Jin’an said, playing coy.
When one’s bed is threatened, can they allow others to sleep soundly?
Jin’an grabbed his phone and made a call to Cheng Lu.
Qiao En didn’t expect him to make such a decisive move.
