"How did it go?" Xia An asked.

"That girl turned out to be a Koi Spirit, and she fled so fast as soon as she got into the water. I cast divine skills and stabbed her from miles away. I’m not sure if she’s dead, but her body should appear if she is. People are searching all night." Master Lu replied.

"You attacked her yesterday and failed to realize she was a demonic spirit?" the Young Marquis was somewhat displeased.

Just as he was mentioned, a handsome figure appeared at the doorway.

"Miss Xue... Oh? Young Marquis is here too?" Chu Liang, with a gentle smile on his face, greeted both of them.

Looking at that warm, smiling face, a surge of anger rushed through Xia An. He yearned to punch that face.

He gritted his teeth, asked, "Does Young Hero Chu have an appointment with Miss Xue today?"

"Yes." Chu Liang nodded and, glancing around the room he soon understood the situation.

It was clear that the Young Marquis was interested in Miss Xue. After spending a lot yesterday on a gift, it was not a surprise that he was here today with an invitation.
