Chapter 812: Chapter 46 You’re Not Even Willing to Call Me Master Chu [Thanks to Alliance Hierarch "Lao Liu824"!]_3

The battle at War Mausoleum Mountain had not afforded them the slightest advantage; instead, they had received an even fiercer beating and were unlikely to let the matter rest.

However, with their intelligence, the outcome was not hard to predict.

Of course, even if the fight over there became an utter mess, Chu Liang would just listen in for the excitement; he did not care who was elected among the Ten Earth Sects.

In comparison, he was more concerned about the new members of Silver Sword Peak.

...

The crowd of onlookers dispersed only after the Iron Eating Beast had fallen asleep, and Chu Liang wondered whether he should charge an admission fee the next day. It wasn’t that he cared about the money; it was just that Silver Sword Peak was originally not very large, and it was simply too crowded with so many people coming.

When the little one woke up the next day, the wounds on its fur had almost completely healed. Truly worthy of being the former mount of Jiuli’s Evil God and having survived the ancient great catastrophes, its resilience and recovery capability were commendable.

Chu Liang approached and saw it still groggy, seemingly confused for a moment and not recognizing who Chu Liang was. The little creature stared at him for a long time before gradually regaining its senses and showing a pleasing smile.

"Heh," Chu Liang also smiled at it and reached out to rub its chubby little head, "Where are you from? How about we go back and take a look today?"

"Woo..." Hearing about going back, the Iron Eating Beast let out a couple of wooing sounds from its throat, seemingly in agreement.

Chu Liang put the small medicine basket back on its back and let it start the journey.

They watched the little one stagger along, tumbling and swaying, using its nose to sniff its way to the orchard. When it passed by a Spirit Plant in the garden, it suddenly stopped and turned to look at Chu Liang. It pointed at one of the Heavenly Material and Earthly Treasures with one hand while looking at Chu Liang, gently grinning.

Chu Liang actually saw a fawning smile on the face of an Iron Eating Beast.

"Take it, just take it," he said, waving his hand resignedly.

What can you do with a shameless Iron Eating Beast?

Just feed it, of course.

The little one did not immediately eat but carefully picked the Spirit Plant and placed it in the small medicine basket on its back. Then, it returned to the familiar gap, kicked with its hooves, and in a flash, its whole body shot out.

Whoosh—

Once it gained speed, it truly turned into a little whirlwind. One simply couldn’t imagine how those short little legs could move so fast.

But for Chu Liang, chasing it presented no difficulty; he transformed into the wind and closely followed behind, watching as the Iron Eating Beast truly made its way down to the vast jungle below the Cloud Sea.

The Spirit Birds and Exotic Beasts living in this jungle were plenty, but upon feeling the approach of this whirlwind, all Spirit Beasts would keep their distance. It seemed that this simple and cute little creature had quite a formidable reputation beneath the Cloud Sea.

It dashed at breakneck speed until it almost shot out of the range of Shu Mountain and came to the edge of the jungle, where it finally stopped, kicking up a large cloud of dust.

There was a vine-entangled cave in front of them.

An idea struck Chu Liang; could this place truly be home to its family?

If he could bring back several Iron Eating Beasts, that would be fantastic.

Although ancient fierce creatures could be dangerous, if Shu Mountain could even raise a Master, what’s there to fear from a few adorable beasts?

Feeling hopeful, he followed the Iron Eating Beast into the cave.

"Woo—" The Iron Eating Beast whined a couple of times, then dashed deeper into the cave.

But there were no creatures of its kind in there; instead, a human figure lay there!

Chu Liang saw an elder dressed in strange patterned robes lying inside the cave, severely injured and struggling to breathe.

The elder’s skin was shriveled and his vital energy depleted, with a bloody hole in his left chest. A strange Spiritual Energy attached to it was preventing the wound from healing.

Around the wound were traces of broken pieces of Spiritual Medicine, which were vaguely from the same Spirit Plant that had gone missing from Silver Sword Peak earlier. So the Iron Eating Beast hadn’t stolen the Spirit Plant to eat but to heal this elder?

As it grew close, it stuck out its tongue and licked the elder’s hand a few times with a whimper.

Feeling the licks, the elder struggled to open his eyes, and after noticing the presence of others, he turned to look at Chu Liang. He did not show any surprise and asked a strange question in a calm tone.

"Has the Jiuli Supreme God finally come to take me away?"
