Pioneer of the Abyss: A Deepsea Livestreamed -
Book 2: Chapter 3
Aqua
I quickly find several interesting things about this dungeon that are different than anything I’ve ever seen before or heard of. Such as the aquatic monsters I see swimming under the ships. Monsters that are the same level as the ones on the ships.
Normally dungeons don’t have aquatic monsters that are important to the dungeon. They only have random secondary monsters that may be aquatic.
But this one is different.
And that’s interesting.
Right now I’m standing on the plank of a ship that’s just half stretched over the edge of the damaged ship. Meanwhile the ship I’m on itself seems abandoned without any monsters on it.
As for all the monsters themselves?
[Drowned Pirate – Level 87]
[Zombie Eel – Level 87]
[Zombie Crab – Level 87][Zombie Piranha – Level 87]
There are four types of monsters that are commonly seen. Drowned Pirates, which are undead pirates with grayish blue skin wearing pirate clothes. Zombie eels, which are large eels spanning about four meters in length with bits of pale, sickly spots on them. Zombie crabs, which are large crabs with glowing green eyes and pale while shells missing chunks in random spots. And zombie piranhas, which look like discolored piranhas with pitch black whiteless eyes.
After those four basic monsters, I see some higher level monsters mixed in.
[Drowned Pirate Officer – Level 94]
[Miasmic Hammerhead – Level 95]
[Miasmic Dreadnaught – Level 97]
The drowned pirate officers look like larger drowned pirates with better gear, including actual leather armor and two scimitars. The miasmic hammerheads are just deep purple sharks that are leaking out miasma through their bodies. And the miasmic dreadnaughts are massive fish spanning five meters with a height of four meters and what looks like shells made out of miasma covering their bodies like armor.
It’s a rather intimidating sight to be honest.
Especially the miasma itself. Since miasma is a sort of poison created by higher order undead. And it can turn other living creatures into undead if they absorb too much of it, whether through their skin or through ingesting it somehow.
Although I’ve already found through prior exposure to it in some broken dungeons that I’m actually immune to the miasma to a degree.
Or rather, my regeneration counters it. So whenever it tries to rot my body, which is the first step in the turning process, my body just recovers at the same speed as it rots.
And while that is very unpleasant, there aren’t any actual problems caused by it.
Other than it pretty much canceling out my regeneration to a degree while it’s healing the rot.
If it weren’t for my regeneration, this dungeon would probably be a massive pain to deal with. So yay for that.
[Such a strange dungeon…]
[What Hidden Stat do you think she’ll unlock?]
[It’s normally determined by the type of dungeon and the user themselves, right? So maybe something related to endurance? Since it’s an undead dungeon?]
[My bet is on magic. Undead like magic after all.]
The chat’s just in their own world talking about the Hidden Stat Special Core at the end of this place though. Clearly not caring about the difficulty of this place.

Then again, I don’t really blame them. Not considering all the things I’ve been through so far.
Anyway, I glance behind me at the Gate leading out of the dungeon that’s currently floating above the deck of the ship I’m on. Then I jump down into the water and begin summoning dozens of abyssal servants.
Of course, I make sure to summon the massive shark. But I also summon the sharks and other monsters including some large humanoid fish monsters that were in the migration and are in the level seventy to eighty range.
And without hesitation, I send them all out to attack the aquatic monsters down in the water. With the monsters quickly beginning to fight back when they notice my swarm.
Then I focus my attention on the biggest aquatic monster of the bunch in this particular area of the cavern.
A massive two-headed shark with a pirate captain’s upper body attached to it on top of the creature.
[Miasmic Pirate Dreadnaught – Level 100]
I feel a grin stretching across my face as I rush at it with my trident already out and ready to attack.
Alliance Pioneer Central Stadium
“Are you all ready for some more excitement?! Because I sure am!” Isaac Caliorga exclaims as the audience roars at the sight of Aqua’s screen appearing high above them showing Aqua as she and a large two-headed shark with a built-in rider charge straight at each other. All while a very small force of a few dozen abyssal servants rush out to attack the undead monsters in the underwater portion of the dungeon. With the monsters in question charging at them in return. “Aqua has once again gone wild in Oceana! So let’s go along for the ride!”
“Up until now, Aqua has been fighting against lower level, weaker monsters,” Isaac says while shaking his head with a disappointed expression on his face. “But now she’s finally taking on the cube! Going for that Special Core! And fighting worthy monsters once more!”
The roaring applause of the audience continues to grow louder. Meanwhile they see Aqua’s trident clashing with the dual scimitars of the pirate half of the two-headed shark. With the heads of the shark trying to chomp down on her thighs, only for tentacles to grow out of her back and chomp back at them.
And in the background Isaac and the audience all see the massive level ninety shark tearing through the monsters of the dungeon. Even with only a few levels on them. Proving the natural superiority of her abyssal servant in question.
After all, not all monsters are born equal. Regardless of their level.
“These are the types of battles people want to see! Battles that are on the level of entire battlefields instead of just one Pioneer!” Isaac shouts, growing more and more excited by the second as they all watch the battle that’s practically a war between two sides occur. With Aqua occasionally resummoning some of her abyssal servants whenever they die. “This is what we all want! New things! Underwater battles! And most importantly, Aqua Azuranth!!!”
Cheers resonate throughout the stadium as the battle wages on.
Aqua repeatedly strikes at the pirate on top of the large shark while summoning massive tentacles that slam into the two-headed shark. But the pirate half always manages to block the strikes. Even if her attacks are clearly denting his scimitars.
“Aqua’s Abyssal Orca strength is clearly overpowering the higher level monster, you can tell that by those dents alone!” Isaac says while flying around the large screen. “And her tentacles are quickly slowing down the monster!” His eyes suddenly widen a little. “Wait! Yes! Here we go!”
Throughout the battle, despite her forces taking more damage than the monsters in the waters, the monster corpses keep piling up since she keeps resummoning her abyssal servants. Leaving the waters beneath the ships flooded with corpses.
And right as the miasmic pirate dreadnaught blocks another one of her strikes, Aqua spreads both hands out and activates her latest skill. Making a sinister black and deep blue aura cover all the corpses near her. Following which about half of the corpses absorb the aura while the others snap away the aura.
Leaving half of the undead monsters returning as their flesh, scales, and skin all turn a deep blue and their eyes begin glowing with that deep blue light.
Then they join the fight against the startled monsters. Tearing into their former allies as several of them rush at the miasmic pirate dreadnaught. Latching their jaws onto the pirate dreadnaught’s body and locking him down for Aqua to finally get a free slash in.
Cutting right down the center of the pirate part of its body before using the extra time bought by the injury to cut off the pirate’s head.
And to finish the monster off, she lets go of her trident and stabs both of her hands into different eyes from different heads of the shark. Grabs onto something inside. And rips it out.
Showing what looks like brains to the viewers.
“And the miasmic pirate dreadnaught is doooooownnnn!!!” Isaac shouts amidst the roars of the audience. Only for Aqua to place her hand over the massive shark while using her skill again on it and several other monster corpses around her. “Will she be able to extract the monster?!”
But her first attempt proves to be a failure when the aura snaps off of the corpse. Even if numerous other monsters join her ranks and begin attacking the other nearby monsters.
She doesn’t give up with one attempt though and proceeds with her second attempt.
Soon making the miasmic pirate dreadnaught join her ranks as well before sending it off to hunt other monsters. Which it does with ease.
“And that’s another monster for her army!” Isaac shouts while the crowd grows even louder. “Just how many servants will Aqua obtain?! Does she even have a limit?!”
All while she floats in place with her trident in hand – the thing having fallen out of the monster during its repairing process – just watching the monsters fight at the center of it all.
Showing her lazy indifference to the battle at hand.
