Chapter 94: Chapter 95 Beautiful Policewoman

"Thump!"

As Scar swung his fist, he felt a sharp pain in his chest and his body slammed backward, hitting the ground with another thump.

This time, Xiao Yi didn’t stop. With direct kicks, he sent those gangsters who were still in disbelief or too stunned to react flying through the air.

In almost an instant, all the gangsters were down on the ground, lying there unable to move, groaning.

"Wow, Brother Xiao, you are so amazing!"

Zeng Xiaoxiao watched as the gangsters lay sprawling on the ground, vigorously clapping her hands, her eyes filled with excitement and admiration, and she started screaming. The classmates around her were also once again stunned by Xiao Yi’s formidable combat power.

Although he had kicked Gao Junjie and his gang before, in their eyes, Gao Junjie’s group couldn’t compare to the burly and fierce-looking gangsters in front of them.

"Who sent you to kill Zhang Yuhuan?"

Xiao Yi ignored the fearful looks of the gangsters, Zeng Xiaoxiao’s screeching, and the admiring glances from his classmates. He walked straight up to Scar and grabbed him by the collar.

He didn’t want to get involved in this matter, but now that it had clearly reached him, as they had come looking for him, he had to be cautious and ask for clarity; he didn’t want to be taken out from behind without even knowing it.

"What Zhang Yuhuan? I don’t know her!"

Scar looked into Xiao Yi’s eyes, a flicker of fear passing through them. He could never have imagined that this thin pretty boy could fight like this. The kick from earlier, although it didn’t make him groan, had injured him—he knew he would be laid up in the hospital for a while since he felt his entire ribcage was broken.

But upon hearing Xiao Yi’s question, he stubbornly retorted.

"Oh? You really don’t know her?"

Xiao Yi didn’t confirm nor deny, a slight smile on his lips.

"Right, if you’re talking about that girl from last time, someone paid me to do it. I’m in this business for the money, I don’t work for anybody," Scar said fiercely.

He was well aware that there were some people he absolutely couldn’t rat out because if he did, he would be done for— not just him, but his family too. As long as he didn’t rat them out, there was still a chance he could turn the situation around. He believed Brother Hao would come up with a way to get him out.

"So how did you end up coming after me?"

A cold smile played on the corners of Xiao Yi’s mouth.

"I didn’t think it was you at first. Young Master Jin paid me to give you a lesson!" Scar said, as if he had anticipated the question.

"Young Master Jin?"

Xiao Yi looked at Scar, whose expression seemed genuine, and he furrowed his brow.

It explained why, when they first met, Scar didn’t seem to be there specifically for him; it was almost as if seeing him had been a surprise. But, was it really Young Master Jin who had hired him? Unexpectedly, Jin Xiaohan seemed to be a lot of trouble. It appeared necessary to teach him a lesson; Xiao Yi had no interest in being constantly bothered by him!

With that thought, a trace of cold sternness flitted across Xiao Yi’s eyes.

Scar looked at Xiao Yi’s expression and, seeing no suspicion on his face, felt a surge of joy inside him. His most important task that day was to give a lesson to a guy named Xiao Yi, and he had to make sure Xiao Yi knew it was Jin Xiaohan, Young Master Jin, who had sent him. Initially, his line should have been "You dare to cross Young Master Jin and don’t want to live?" Yet, unexpectedly, this person turned out to be the very same one who had foiled him previously. For a moment, Scar was taken aback and almost forgot his mission. He had planned to beat Xiao Yi half to death and deliver the message before leaving. Luckily, Xiao Yi approached him with questions, which allowed him to complete the task.

In his heart, Scar was also secretly delighted, waiting to report to Brother Hao that he had found the kid who had messed up their plans that day!

"Who’s causing trouble here!"

At that moment, a stern voice suddenly came from the entrance.

All eyes turned toward the door, where, unbeknownst to them, a beautiful female police officer in uniform, tall and upright, had appeared, followed by a group of uniformed officers.

"Here, all these hooligans are right here!"

Zeng Xiaoxiao was the first to react, raising her hand high.

At the sound of Zeng Xiaoxiao’s voice, the beautiful female officer immediately led the police officers in a charge.

Seeing the arrival of the police, all the fallen hoodlums suddenly turned pale, forgetting even their painful moans and cries. Especially after they clearly saw that the officer in charge was the beautiful female policewoman, fear was evident in everyone’s eyes. Even Scar’s gaze darkened in an instant.

If it were any other police officer, he wouldn’t be so afraid. With Brother Hao’s connections, he believed he’d be in and out of the station in no time. Brother Hao even mentioned that if anything happened, there would be people to back them up—this is why he had boldly made such a blatant commotion at the university.

But seeing the officer in front of him now made his heart sink.

She was the one cop in the force he did not want to, and could not, provoke because even Brother Hao was somewhat wary of her. Brother Hao had repeatedly told him to avoid getting caught by the Municipal Criminal Police Team as much as possible.

But why was she here? She was with the Municipal Criminal Police Team, not just an ordinary beat cop. Such matters of apprehending criminals typically didn’t require their direct involvement, right?

Scar wasn’t the only one with such thoughts in mind; his companions were of the same frame of mind.

Suddenly, their confusion was resolved.

"Sister, all these men lying on the ground are the bad guys. They’ve even killed people before," Zeng Xiaoxiao rushed forward to meet the uniformed, sprightly beautiful female police officer, grabbing her arm with a pleasing smile on her face.

Sister?

Scar and the gang were instantly flabbergasted!

They finally understood why this formidable Demon Head came in person—it turned out the girl was her sister!

She’s her sister, so her identity...

With this realization, all the thugs could no longer keep their composure, especially those who had insulted and made advances on her. Their backbones immediately began to sweat, and their already pale faces turned even whiter.

The reason they feared this female officer was not only because of her strong professional skills, her formidable combat prowess, and her incorruptibility but also for another reason—because she belonged to the Zeng family, one of the Four Great Families, and moreover, she was the legitimate lineage heir. It was precisely for this reason that she had been able to attain the position of the head of the Municipal Criminal Police Team at such a young age and could investigate any case without reservations!
