Chapter 635: Get Out Quickly!
The hospital leaders at the doorway, this time, nobody tried to stop him.
The experts watched as Xiao Yi violently entered the operating room, exchanged glances, then all hurriedly followed him. As they caught up, concern involuntarily flashed in their eyes. They knew the patient inside had also been rushed in at the same time, with a grim prognosis. They had chosen to save this one, and the other had remained unresolved until now, making the situation unlikely to be optimistic.
Yet, at the same time, a barely concealed excitement was evident in their eyes. They had not expected to see Xiao Yi spring into action and save a life so soon again, to witness once more his miraculous medical skills.
Initially, the hospital leaders had wanted to follow and witness Xiao Yi’s medical skills, but considering the emergency room might not have space for so many people, and that they were not experts in this field, along with their statuses, they eventually stopped and watched helplessly as the operating room doors closed in front of them.
Inside the operating room.
Three doctors, dressed in full professional attire with masks on their heads, stood in front of the operating table, each holding various small tools. Yet, nobody was moving; the only part of their faces that wasn’t covered, their eyes, showed a worried expression.
Two assistants, also in blue surgical gowns and fully geared up, stood blankly to the side, occasionally glancing at the patient who was almost completely wrapped up on the operating table, but without any action. However, their gazes didn’t carry the same worry as the doctors.
"What do we do?"
The tall doctor standing at the head of the operating table finally broke the silence, his look filled with helplessness as he glanced at his two colleagues opposite him.
"Let’s give up, we’ve done all we could," replied one doctor to the left, after a moment of silence. His tone was heavy, but his gaze toward the patient on the table was resigned—not that he didn’t wish to save him, he very much did, but it seemed there was truly no way left at this point.
"Yeah, cerebral hemorrhage, severe thoracic trauma, serious internal bleeding—we’ve done everything we could, it’s impossible to save them. And, even experts like Niu and the others probably wouldn’t have any solution," added the last doctor, his eyes reflecting a hint of helplessness as he glanced at the patient and then the nearby monitors, shaking his head at the increasingly weak data displayed.
"Then..."
The first doctor, hearing his colleagues’ words and seeing that they shared his thoughts, once again glanced at the operating table with a look of resignation, ready to formally declare to abandon the surgery and stop resuscitation.
However, just as the doctor was about to articulate these words, a loud bang resounded, and the door to the operating room was pushed open.
Hearing the sound, the doctors’ expressions suddenly hardened, their eyes all fiercely shifting toward the door. In that instant, a surge of anger rose in their hearts.
There are specific rules in the hospital. Normally, no one is allowed to disturb an ongoing surgery, not even hospital leaders.
It must be understood that in the operating room, during surgery, disturbances are extremely dangerous. The human body is inherently very complex and mysterious, and any slight accident during the operation could potentially endanger the patient’s life.
Although they weren’t performing any highly risky procedures at the moment, merely idling, being disturbed was still unpleasant and undoubtedly against the rules.
When they saw that the one who had barged into the operating room was just a young man in his twenties, not even wearing the professional attire required in the OR but in casual clothing, their eyes immediately filled with uncontainable rage.
"Who are you, bursting into the operating room like this? Do you want to kill someone? Get out of here, now!"
The leading doctor barked angrily without any hesitation.
"This is outrageous! You have no right to be here! Hurry up and get out, now!"
Another doctor also quickly raised their voice and scolded the intruding young man.
Xiao Yi ignored the doctors’ scoldings; his gaze, from the moment he entered, had been fixed on Wang Dawei lying on the operating table, his eyes intently staring at Wang Dawei, who had just undergone some basic emergency treatment.
The doctors, seeing that the young intruder was ignoring their warnings and completely disregarding them, felt their anger flare up instantly as if several buckets of gasoline had been poured on it, and they opened their mouths, ready to continue their vehement scolding, to harshly reprimand this uncouth youngster who seemed to have popped up out of nowhere.
But just as they opened their mouths, before they could utter their angry words, their expressions became frozen in shock.
"Doctor Niu?"
"Doctor Zhao?"
"Doctor Li?"
The doctors, seeing several men in highly professional surgical clothes and blue caps appear behind Xiao Yi, suddenly started to stammer, swallowing back all the words of reprimand, their eyes showing a hint of surprise and bewilderment.
Even though they wore masks covering their faces, the doctors recognized them at a glance: these three were their colleagues who had just entered the adjacent operating room to attempt to save another patient, and they were some of the hospital’s top experts, essentially their direct superiors.
Because they were the deputies, while the others were in charge.
The three doctors, upon hearing their greetings, didn’t say anything but nodded at them, gave a simple gesture, and then stood quietly to one side. They turned to glance at Xiao Yi, who seemed transfixed, his eyes still locked on the patient on the operating table. Then, each of their gazes shifted to the nearby monitors. After they confirmed the data on the screens, a hint of concern appeared in their eyes.
