Four people waited in the room for more than ten minutes when the sound of sirens was heard outside.

"Chen Yang, could you go out and meet them for me? I’ll stay here with Xueying," Wu Kexin immediately looked at Chen Yang and said upon hearing the sirens.

Chen Yang nodded and then stepped out of the room.

Seeing this, the construction team boss hurriedly followed, helping Chen Yang explain the situation to the police.

The two interacted with the police outside for about ten minutes.

After the police understood the situation and surveyed the scene, they took the unconscious Ah Hao away.

"We’ll take the suspect away first; tonight we’ll interrogate him overnight, and he’ll give a statement tomorrow. You will need to come to our station tomorrow to assist with some matters," the police instructed Wu Kexin before leaving, asking her to visit the station tomorrow.

Wu Kexin immediately nodded, agreeing.

After speaking, the police got into their vehicle and left.

With the boss making such guarantees, Chen Yang merely nodded slightly and said no more, turning to enter the house to see Zhang Xueying.

After expressing gratitude again to Chen Yang, he finally left Zhang Xueying’s house.

At this point, Zhang Xueying had calmed down, and she had changed into new clothes.

Seeing Chen Yang entering, she and Wu Kexin stood up together.

"He left."

"Chen Yang, come early tomorrow to pick me and Xueying up. We’ll go to the police station together; that scumbag must be taught a serious lesson!" Wu Kexin said again at the fork in the road.

Chen Yang nodded earnestly: "Alright, I’ll be there at 8 o’clock, and then we can go together."

After saying this, the two parted ways.

Chen Yang returned to the clinic; Wu Kexin returned to the village office.

By the time Chen Yang returned home, it was already late, so he went straight to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

After eating, he went to the backyard to practice boxing, not resting until eleven or twelve at night.
