Chapter 828: Chapter 824 Old Classmate

The bald man froze in place for a few seconds, then his expression turned ugly. He cursed at the back of the departing car, "You wretched woman, trying to show off to me? I’ll have plenty of chances to make you cry."

...

Inside the car.

Having left the village, Yang Caiyun was in an exceptionally good mood.

The business deal was closed, and she got to mock the bald man too—how couldn’t this be satisfying?

"Yang Zi, I feel like you’re my lucky charm. I wandered around for over an hour earlier and couldn’t find anything suitable. But as soon as you showed up, I found something and sealed the deal." Yang Caiyun looked at Chen Yang excitedly and said.

Chen Yang chuckled at her words, "Haha, it was just a coincidence. It’s not like your luck improved because I showed up."

"I feel like that’s exactly what happened."

Yang Caiyun laughed.

"Maybe."

Chen Yang smiled and gave a quick nod, leaving it at that. He focused instead on observing the surroundings while carefully steering the car into a secluded mountain ravine, parking it on the grass-covered lawn.

When Yang Caiyun noticed that the car suddenly veered off the road and into the ravine, her face showed evident surprise.

"Yang Zi, where are we? Why did you suddenly drive here? Is something going on?" Yang Caiyun asked, still oblivious.

But when she turned to see the mischievous grin on Chen Yang’s face, she instantly deduced what was happening.

"You rascal, so improper! Broad daylight, what if someone comes along?"

Yang Caiyun’s gaze was tender and shy, her whole demeanor like a ripe peach, utterly irresistible.

She had an allure that made one want to take a bite.

"Sis, I’ve been checking during the drive; there’s no one around here, don’t worry." Chen Yang held back the fire inside him and replied.

Yang Caiyun, being mature, was naturally not as shy about these things as Wu Kexin or Yang Ruoxi would be.

Once certain no one would come, she tacitly consented.

...

An hour later, the faint moans fully ceased.

Inside the car, Yang Caiyun lay in Chen Yang’s arms, her face flushed with satisfaction.

"Sis, how was it? Better than at home, right? More thrilling?" Chen Yang looked down at the irresistibly charming Yang Caiyun and teased.

Yang Caiyun, her face beet red, nodded lightly: "Mm... it is better."

"Haha, well then, we should do this more often." Chen Yang said with a laugh.

Yang Caiyun rolled her eyes at him, "You rascal, always looking for ways to enjoy yourself."

"Sis, that doesn’t sound right. Didn’t you enjoy it too?"

Hearing this, Yang Caiyun’s face turned even redder, but instead of responding, she left Chen Yang’s arms and began searching for her clothes in the car.

"Yang Zi, it’s getting late; we should head back. The business at the restaurant should be picking up, and I ought to keep a closer eye on things." Yang Caiyun remarked.

"Alright."

Chen Yang also realized it was getting late, so he didn’t delay further. He found his clothes, put them on, got back into the driver’s seat, and quickly returned with Yang Caiyun to the River Fish Restaurant.

When the two returned, it was already the lunch rush, and business at the restaurant was booming.

As soon as they arrived, Yang Caiyun didn’t even get a moment to sit down before rushing to the front desk and kitchen to oversee the operations.

Seeing this, Chen Yang didn’t stand idly by; he helped out by serving dishes and doing other small tasks.

"Hey, aren’t you... Chen Yang?"

While Chen Yang was serving a dish, a customer suddenly recognized him.

Chen Yang looked up at the sound of the voice and glanced over, "Hey, Qian Long! What a coincidence! What brings you here?"

The man who called out to him was Qian Long, Chen Yang’s high school classmate.

Since graduating from high school, Chen Yang rarely interacted with his old classmates, so running into one here came as a pleasant surprise.

The same went for Qian Long.

"I just got back from the city a couple of days ago. I heard the food here is pretty good, so I came to give it a try. And you..." Qian Long eagerly shared his reason for coming, then looked Chen Yang up and down, "You’re working here as a waiter now?"

"I... uh, sort of, yeah."

Chen Yang initially wanted to explain but realized it wasn’t necessary. A waiter is a waiter—so be it.

"Oh, oh, that’s nice, that’s nice."

Qian Long’s expression changed subtly upon hearing this but didn’t imply anything negative. Chen Yang noticed this and felt slightly relieved.

Because this classmate wasn’t like some others, who might be much more snobbish.

"Haha, yeah, it’s pretty decent."

Chen Yang smiled and nodded, then added, "Right, what are you doing now? Judging by your attire, you seem to be doing well?"

Upon hearing this, Qian Long smirked proudly, "Not bad. I’m working as a manager at a real estate company in the city. The income’s enough to scrape by."

"Oh, well, enjoy your meal. I’ll get back to work. If you need anything, just give me a shout."

Chen Yang wanted to chat more with his old classmate but felt it wasn’t the right setting, so he decided to save the conversation for another time.

"Sure, no problem. Go ahead."

Qian Long smiled and nodded, and Chen Yang moved on to help other tables.

As he passed the front desk, Chen Yang greeted the employee there and asked them to give Qian Long a thirty percent discount.

The front desk employee knew Chen Yang and agreed with a nod without saying anything further.

Before long, the lunch rush ended.

Seeing the restaurant gradually quiet down, Chen Yang stopped helping out and went upstairs with Yang Caiyun to have a meal.

With more staff at the restaurant now, Yang Caiyun didn’t need to be as busy, so she could eat on time.

Previously, lunch was usually postponed to two or three in the afternoon, and dinner often wasn’t until nine at night.

Just as Chen Yang and Yang Caiyun were eating, the front desk employee suddenly came upstairs.

"Xiao Zou, what’s up? Is something happening?"

Chen Yang asked.

Xiao Zou nodded, "Boss Chen, your schoolmate asked me to pass on a message to you."

"Oh? What did they say?"

Chen Yang immediately asked.

"He said there’s a class reunion the day after tomorrow and invited you to join. Said it’s a chance to really reconnect and catch up." Xiao Zou said.

Chen Yang paused for a moment, then nodded, "Alright, noted."

After Xiao Zou left, Yang Caiyun asked curiously, "Yang Zi, who was that customer earlier? What’s the relationship with you?"

Chen Yang smiled lightly, "High school classmate. We used to get along pretty well, but we lost touch after going to college."

"Oh, I see. So will you go to the class reunion?" Yang Caiyun asked keenly.

"Of course, I’ll go. It’s been so many years since we’ve seen each other—it’d be nice to reconnect with old classmates." Chen Yang replied with a smile.

Normally, Chen Yang wasn’t the type to attend reunions, but he felt a positive impression from Qian Long today, so he decided to go.

After all, catching up with old friends could be a nice experience.

"Haha, you’re probably the most successful one in your class now. When the girls in your class hear about your current earnings, they’ll probably regret missing out on you," Yang Caiyun teased with a laugh.

Chen Yang smiled faintly without replying further but couldn’t help recalling a familiar face in his mind.
