510: Chapter 508: The End of the Opening Ceremony 510: Chapter 508: The End of the Opening Ceremony “Hello, little friends!”

Just as there was a buzz in the crowd, the class teacher appeared.

She smiled as she walked in from the doorway, greeting everyone along the way and climbed onto the stage.

Upon hearing the teacher’s voice, the other noises at the scene instantly diminished, with everyone turning to look towards the stage.

Zhang Xueying and Chen Yang also looked towards the stage.

Unexpectedly, the homeroom teacher of Xiaoxiao’s class was none other than Teacher Yue, who had taken Xiaoxiao on the shuttle bus that morning.

Chen Yang and Zhang Xueying noticed Teacher Yue on the stage, and Teacher Yue also noticed them.

On the way here, they had gotten acquainted, so when their eyes met, they nodded slightly as a gesture.

At that moment, everyone’s attention was on Teacher Yue.

Seeing Teacher Yue greeting Chen Yang made the other parents begin to speculate.

They felt there must be some kind of relationship between the homeroom teacher and Chen Yang.

At least, they were old acquaintances!

Thinking of this, the parents who had previously kept their distance from Chen Yang, suddenly had the idea to ingratiate themselves with him.

However, Chen Yang was unaware of this, and after nodding in acknowledgment, simply stood quietly waiting for the activities to continue.

And the following activities were quite simple.

It involved some simple parent-child interactions and also allowed the children to go on stage to introduce themselves.

Though these were somewhat boring for adults, Chen Yang found them meaningful, especially seeing how happy Xiaoxiao was, which put his mind at ease.

The entire day was spent in the kindergarten, and it was not until after three in the afternoon that the opening ceremony officially ended.

Normally, the school would have arranged a bus to take all the parents and children back the way they came.

But Chen Yang said it was not necessary.

Because he wanted to take Xiaoxiao and Zhang Xueying for a walk in the county town.

Xiaoxiao’s homeroom teacher, who also took Xiaoxiao on the shuttle alone, Teacher Yue, did not say much after hearing this.

Bending down, he smiled and exchanged a few words of farewell with Xiaoxiao, before Chen Yang, Zhang Xueying, and Xiaoxiao left.

After leaving the school, Zhang Xueying was in a particularly good mood.

After today’s series of events, her worries about Xiaoxiao had completely vanished.

She had been worried that Xiaoxiao would be bullied at school and become self-conscious, but now it seemed Xiaoxiao was not only free from bullying but had also become the core of her class.

Many children were willing to interact with Xiaoxiao, and the parents dared not look down on Xiaoxiao.

The school’s attitude was surprisingly good.

One could tell just from Teacher Yue’s behavior.

“Chen Yang, I really can’t thank you enough.

If it weren’t for you, Xiaoxiao could never have gotten into such a good school…” Zhang Xueying thought to herself, and suddenly, she choked up again.

She was truly grateful to Chen Yang, whose kindness to her was beyond words.

And he was just as kind to Xiaoxiao.

She did not know how she could repay this kindness, and could only keep repeating her thanks.

Seeing Zhang Xueying like this, Chen Yang suddenly paused, his eyes seriously fixed on her as he said, “Xueying, I’ve said it many times, there is no need to be so formal with me, okay?

I consider Xiaoxiao as my own daughter, and what I’ve done is only natural!”

“Mm-hmm, I know, Brother Chen Yang.”

Zhang Xueying nodded repeatedly.

She knew Chen Yang didn’t like her acting this way, but she just couldn’t help being moved.

Because she did not know how else to express her feelings besides gratitude.

“I understand everything you want to say, and I don’t want you to be too formal with me, okay?

Let’s go out and have some fun today, cheer up.” Chen Yang squeezed out a smile and said.

Zhang Xueying was touched by Chen Yang’s smile.

And she smiled too.

Afterward, the three of them spent a day like a family of three in the county city and had a sumptuous dinner in the evening.

After dinner, Chen Yang noticed it was already late, so he prepared to hail a taxi back to Liuheshan village.

But unexpectedly, at that moment, Li Han called.

“Xueying, stay here with Xiaoxiao for a while, I’ll go take this call and come right back,” Chen Yang glanced at his phone and said to Zhang Xueying as he looked up.

“Okay,”

Zhang Xueying nodded, then Chen Yang walked a bit farther away and answered the phone.

“Chen Yang, what have you been up to these days?

Why took you so long to answer the phone?”

As soon as the call connected, Li Han asked this.

“I was accompanying Xiaoxiao for school opening today, we were just eating, I stepped out to answer,” Chen Yang said with an awkward laugh.

“Yeah, I need to discuss something with you, can you come over later?

We can talk in my office.”

Upon hearing this, Chen Yang turned around to look at Zhang Xueying and Xiaoxiao standing by the roadside and replied, “It’s a bit inconvenient, Xueying and Xiaoxiao are still with me; there will be no one to send them back if I leave.”

“Just give me a location, I’ll have my driver take them back to the village,”

Li Han said straightforwardly.

“Okay, that works, I’ll send you the location,” Chen Yang felt this solution was viable, so he promptly hung up the phone, then sent the current location to Li Han.

About ten plus minutes later, a luxury car stopped in front of Chen Yang and Zhang Xueying.

The driver, who was very polite, descended from the car, briefly greeted Chen Yang, and then invited Zhang Xueying and Xiaoxiao to get in.

Seeing such a luxury car, Zhang Xueying felt somewhat uncomfortable.

She looked at Chen Yang with a surprised gaze,

“Get in, Xueying, you and Xiaoxiao go back first, I still have some matters to deal with; I won’t be able to take Xiaoxiao to school tomorrow,” Chen Yang said calmly.

“Um… okay,”

Zhang Xueying nodded slightly, then holding Xiaoxiao, got into the car and they left the place.

After seeing off Zhang Xueying and Xiaoxiao, Chen Yang immediately hailed a taxi and headed to Networking World.

Chen Yang knew that if Li Han was seeking him out, it had to be for some important business matter; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been so urgent about having him come over.

So, Chen Yang didn’t delay any further.

Taking a taxi, he arrived downstairs and immediately took the elevator to Li Han’s office.

Knock knock.

Chen Yang stood at the door and knocked.

“Come in,”

After hearing Li Han’s voice, Chen Yang then pushed the door and walked in.

“Why the urgent summons?

Did something happen?”

Chen Yang walked in, smiling as he asked.

Li Han initially thought it was someone else who entered; upon hearing Chen Yang’s voice, she turned her head to look at the door.

“You got here so quickly.” Li Han said, smiling as she stood up.

“Yeah, from the tone of your voice, I knew you had something to discuss, so I came straight over,” Chen Yang said with a smile as he walked to the sofa and sat down.

Li Han, who had walked out from behind the desk, also sat near Chen Yang.

“Heh, you know me pretty well, knowing that I had something to talk about,” Li Han said with a slight smile, reaching over to the coffee table to pour Chen Yang a glass of water.

Chen Yang took the glass, sipped some water, and then smiled, “Of course, after all this time, wouldn’t it be something if I didn’t know that much about your character?”

The two hadn’t seen each other for a few days and seeing each other now lifted their spirits, smiles continually on their faces.
