505: Chapter 503: No Avoidance at All 505: Chapter 503: No Avoidance at All The two chatted while eating, and the dinner lasted until after ten o’clock.
After a short rest, Wu Kexin stood up, ready to leave, but at this time of night, Chen Yang was unwilling to let her go.
He insisted that Wu Kexin stay and sleep over.
Wu Kexin was well aware of Chen Yang’s intentions, but couldn’t withstand his persistence, so she half-heartedly agreed.
“I’ll stay over, but I need to get up early tomorrow, otherwise it would not look good if someone saw,” Wu Kexin said shyly, clinging onto Chen Yang’s neck.
“Mm, okay.”
Chen Yang nodded in agreement and turned off the lights.
…
Ding ding ding.
The next morning, just after six o’clock, Chen Yang and Wu Kexin were awakened by the alarm they had set the night before.
Chen Yang looked down at Wu Kexin in his arms.
Her cheeks were still red, and after exchanging a few groggy glances with Chen Yang, she took the initiative to lean in and kissed Chen Yang on the face.
This surprised Chen Yang, as Wu Kexin was usually more reserved and had never done something like this before.
The sudden kiss reignited the flame in Chen Yang’s heart.
His arms around Wu Kexin began to move involuntarily, causing her cheeks to flush even redder.
“Alright, stop messing around, it’s getting late, let’s get up.
I’ll make you breakfast before I go back,” said Wu Kexin, placing her hands around Chen Yang’s neck, trying to stop his actions.
Chen Yang glanced at the brightness outside and realized it really was getting late.
Although reluctant to end it like this, he restrained himself for Wu Kexin’s sake.
“Alright, let’s get up.”
Chen Yang agreed somewhat reluctantly and then sat up with Wu Kexin.
After these couple of encounters, Wu Kexin had become much more open.
Getting out of bed, she no longer acted coy, but threw back the covers, and without any hesitation, revealed herself in front of Chen Yang as she jumped out of bed.
Then, in front of him, she dressed herself.
This scene left Chen Yang’s eyes glued, the image was almost too beautiful…
he felt like he was about to get a nosebleed.
“Stop looking…
hurry up and get up, I’m going to make breakfast,” noticing Chen Yang’s gaze, Wu Kexin’s face turned red, then she went straight to the kitchen.
Watching Wu Kexin leave, Chen Yang got dressed and followed after her.
To help with making breakfast.
By around seven, the two of them had finished making breakfast and ate together.
After breakfast, Wu Kexin didn’t linger and simply took the documents she had brought back from town the day before and left.
Since it was still early, Chen Yang didn’t stay at home longer and decided to go out for a stroll, to check on his properties.
Lately, there had been a lot of things going on, but no matter how busy, Chen Yang never forgot about his enterprises, the farm, and the greenhouse.
Whenever he had free time in the morning, Chen Yang would go out and take a look.
To check for any problems.
He was very attentive to these matters.
Chen Yang went out for a stroll around eight and didn’t return until after nine.
Just as he opened the door to the clinic, Xiaocui arrived, greeted him briefly as usual, and then Chen Yang told her to start reading.
Chen Yang would teach her some substantial things only after she had a grasp of the basics.
Xiaocui was very smart, with a strong ability to learn.
Having been taught by Chen Yang for only a couple of days, she had already mastered a lot of knowledge.
“You’ve already learned most of the simple stuff; all that’s left is to wait for a chance for you to try it out yourself,” Chen Yang said after chatting with Xiaocui.
Xiaocui, upon hearing this, was full of surprise.
“Really, Brother Chen Yang, can I really start diagnosing and treating on my own?”
Chen Yang nodded, “Yes, you’ve mastered many of the basic principles already.
I believe dealing with minor colds and fevers will be no problem for you now.”
“That’s great!”
Xiaocui was so excited she could barely contain herself, yet she didn’t forget to thank Chen Yang, “Thank you, Brother Chen Yang, for teaching me all this.”
“No need to be polite.”
Chen Yang waved her off, “It’s my duty to teach you since you’ve been assisting me; no need for thanks between us.”
After speaking, Chen Yang glanced at the medical books in Xiaocui’s hands and asked, “Xiaocui, those books I gave you last time, how are you coming along with them?
Have you finished reading them all?”
Xiaocui, calming her excitement, shook her head, “Not yet, Brother Chen Yang.
There are still many parts I haven’t read.”
The basic medical books that Chen Yang gave were several centimeters thick, so it was normal for Xiaocui not to have finished them in just a few days.
“Oh, then you can read more when you have time, but don’t read them all the time,” Chen Yang said.
Xiaocui was somewhat confused by Chen Yang’s words, wondering what he meant by saying she could read them sometimes but not all the time?
Looking at Chen Yang with some puzzlement, Xiaocui was just about to ask what he meant.
But Chen Yang spoke first.
“Those books are all about basic knowledge.
Since you’ve already learned many of the basics, reading them often won’t be of much benefit to you now.
I’m going to find you a few more books to read from now on, and you should focus on these new books I give you.”
Now Xiaocui understood.
“Okay, I’ll remember that, Brother Chen Yang.”
Xiaocui nodded obediently, and Chen Yang responded with a slight smile before turning to go inside and start searching.
Chen Yang had studied medicine before, so naturally, he had quite a few medical textbooks at home.
Textbooks that were left over from his school days.
He had originally thought to keep them at home as a memento, but never imagined they would come in handy.
After searching for a while, Chen Yang found a few books suitable for Xiaocui at her current level and walked out with them.
“Xiaocui, from now on focus mainly on these books; they will help you improve more,” Chen Yang said with a smile.
Xiaocui naturally followed what Chen Yang said.
“Alright, Brother Chen Yang, I’ll mainly read these from now on.” Xiaocui smiled as she took the books from Chen Yang and immediately flipped them open to start reading.
Watching the obedient and studious Xiaocui, Chen Yang’s lips curled up slightly, and then he casually lay on the rocking chair to enjoy the sight of Xiaocui reading intently for a while.
It wasn’t until noon that he sat up.
“It’s getting late; what would you like to eat, Xiaocui?
I’ll go make something for you,” Chen Yang asked.
Xiaocui turned her head to look at Chen Yang, “I’m fine with anything, Brother; I’m not picky.”
“Hmm…
all right then, you continue reading and I’ll cook.”
Chen Yang got up and headed to the kitchen to start on the lunch preparations.
Although Xiaocui said anything would do, Chen Yang thought it over and decided to whip up a feast.
She couldn’t just eat anything after studying hard all morning.
“There aren’t many other ingredients at home, so I might as well make a medicinal meal that’s good for beauty and health.
Xiaocui would certainly like that.”
With that thought in mind, Chen Yang decided to make a medicinal meal for lunch.
Motivated by the idea, Chen Yang immediately got to work.
Choosing the herbs, refining the ingredients, creating the medicinal dish.
