Yang Ruoxi astutely noticed Chen Yang’s mood.

“Hey, Chen Yang, what’s wrong with you?

You don’t seem happy to see me and my sister,” Yang Ruoxi said with a pout.

Chen Yang forced a smile and said, “Not at all.

If I wouldn’t welcome the two of you, who would I welcome?”

“Come in and take a seat.

Let’s have a look at the design plans, Mr.

Contractor.”

Chen Yang said with a joking smile as they all entered the clinic and found a table to spread out the design plans.

These weren’t construction blueprints, so they were fairly simple and easy to understand at a glance what the designs depicted.

The designs were for a rectangular building of over ten floors, including an elevator.

The first floor was designed as a restaurant, without any segmented rooms or the like.

From the second to the fifth floor, all were designed as employee dormitories, with four people to a room and private bathrooms, which were quite nice conditions.

Most importantly, the building’s exterior was also designed to be very aesthetically pleasing.

Chen Yang knew it was acceptable at first glance.

“The Li Family construction team really lives up to its reputation as the best in the county.

Just one look at these design plans and you know they’re good,” Chen Yang praised.

Li Han, seeing how satisfied Chen Yang was, instantly felt happy.

“These plans underwent many revisions and meetings before we finalized them, of course they turned out well,” Li Han said with a smile, then slowly gathered up the design plans.

“Now that the contractor has reviewed them, can we go and do a site survey?” asked Li Han with a laugh.

“Of course.”

Chen Yang nodded, and afterwards, everyone left the clinic to proceed to the prearranged site with the construction crew in tow.

It was just next to Chen Yang’s place, on the other side of the new mountain road that had been built.

The village road passed in front of Chen Yang’s house, and the new mine road led up from the side of Chen Yang’s house.

The site wasn’t far from Chen Yang’s home.

It was just a short walk away.

Li Han was well aware of the area, but the construction crew didn’t know much about it, so the primary purpose of this trip was to let the construction crew get a sense of the place.

When they reached the site, the construction crew immediately started their surveying work.

All sorts of surveying equipment were put to use, and it took over an hour to finish the task.

“Boss Li, we’ve thoroughly investigated all the data on-site and there are no issues; we can start with the construction,” the construction team leader reported to Li Han after finishing the survey.

“Good, if there are no problems, then you guys go ahead and get ready.

As soon as the design is approved, we can start construction,” Li Han said.

“All right, we’ll be taking our leave then.”

The construction team leader nodded and left with his crew.

After seeing off the construction team, Chen Yang and the three women returned to the clinic.

“Chen Yang, take a high-resolution photo of the design plan and send it to Gao Ya.

If there’s no issue, let’s start construction as soon as possible,” said Li Han once they were back at the clinic.

Before Chen Yang could reply, Wu Kexin also spoke up: “Right, Chen Yang, remember to reimburse the land payment, a total of three hundred and forty thousand yuan.”

“Alright, I’ll send them both to Sister Gao,” Chen Yang said with a nod, indicating he understood, and then started to spread out the design plans to take pictures with Li Han.

He took several high-resolution photos, anxious that Gao Ya might not be able to appreciate the quality of the design plans.

After dealing with this, it was getting late.

Chen Yang put away his phone and went to the farm to catch a plump rabbit, preparing to make it into lunch.

While Chen Yang was preparing the rabbit, the three women, finding themselves bored, played around in Chen Yang’s backyard.

As they played, Yang Ruoxi’s attention suddenly shifted to Brother Eagle’s whereabouts.

Seeing the empty nest, she curiously asked, “Hey, Chen Yang, where’s Brother Eagle?

Has he gone out?”

Chen Yang was plucking feathers, and when he heard Yang Ruoxi’s voice, he subconsciously glanced at the nest and answered, “No, I lent him to Heipi for a trip into the mountains.”

“Lent him out?”

Yang Ruoxi was somewhat surprised.

She didn’t expect Chen Yang to lend out Brother Eagle, as he wasn’t just any bird of prey, but one capable of thought.

Not just a simple pet.

“You’re too heartless, how could you lend Brother Eagle to someone else for hunting?

Brother Eagle’s spirit must be wounded,” Yang Ruoxi said, glaring at Chen Yang as if he had cheated on her.

Chen Yang, sensing Yang Ruoxi’s gaze, couldn’t help but feel a mix of crying and laughter.

Normally, Chen Yang would never lend to just anyone.

This time, though, he lent Brother Eagle out for the sake of the villages around, which was the right thing to do.

So Chen Yang just explained the situation truthfully to Yang Ruoxi.

Why he had lent Brother Eagle to Heipi.

After hearing Chen Yang’s explanation, Yang Ruoxi and Li Han were so frightened that their complexions turned pale!

“A beast?

Has a wild beast come near Liuhé Village?

Is it a black bear or a leopard tiger?” Yang Ruoxi asked, her face deathly white.

Chen Yang seemed unconcerned.

“Who knows?

It’s not even certain if there are any around here; Heipi went up the mountain just to check it out.

Nobody knows the specifics until we figure it out.”

Although Chen Yang said that,

Yang Ruoxi had already assumed that there were wild beasts near Liuhé Village.

She drew a sharp breath, quickly dragged Li Han and Wu Kexin inside the house, and dared not stay in the backyard anymore.

Fearing that a wild beast might appear nearby any moment.

Chen Yang shook his head with a smile and continued dealing with the rabbit.

Before long, he had completely cleaned it, then cut it into pieces and started cooking.

And then it was time to comfortably enjoy the meal.

During the meal, Yang Ruoxi still couldn’t let go of the issue with the wild beast, bombarding him with all sorts of questions.

What to do if there really was a wild beast.

What if something happened to Heipi and the others.

What if the wild beast came down the mountain, along with a series of other questions, which gave Chen Yang a headache.

“Better say less, in case it comes true, then that would be troublesome.

A tiger coming down the mountain is a very serious matter,”

Chen Yang said, giving Yang Ruoxi a look.

At this, Yang Ruoxi hastily closed her mouth, afraid that her words might come true.

After finishing the meal, Chen Yang tidied up the table briefly, then sat down in the clinic with the three women to rest.

Thinking of what Yang Ruoxi had said earlier, Chen Yang really started to worry about Heipi.

Heipi had left last night, and he hadn’t returned with Brother Eagle by now; could something really have happened?

The thought had barely crossed his mind when Chen Yang became restless, picking up the phone, ready to call Heipi.

But before he could make the call, he saw Brother Eagle diving from the sky into the clinic.

Seeing Brother Eagle, Chen Yang knew that Heipi and his group must have returned.

Sure enough, about a minute after Brother Eagle landed, Heipi and his group appeared at Chen Yang’s doorstep.

They all looked extremely weary, except for Heipi who was in a slightly better condition.

“You’re finally back; I was just getting worried and thinking about calling you,” Chen Yang said.

As Heipi walked into the clinic and saw the three women, he perked up a bit.

He was just about to respond to Chen Yang when Chen Yang beat him to it.

“How did it go?

Did you find anything?

Are there any signs of wild animals around here?”

Chen Yang asked.

“We made a discovery.”

Heipi nodded straightforwardly: “We found the beast’s tracks shortly after going up the mountain last night, but despite tracking it all night, we didn’t find the beast.”

Hearing that there really was a wild beast, Chen Yang’s brows furrowed immediately.

The three women couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise.

“Really…

There’s actually a wild beast!” Yang Ruoxi’s eyes widened in astonishment as she asked, “Did you figure out what kind of wild beast it is?”

Heipi wasn’t familiar with Yang Ruoxi but still responded to her question.

“According to my experience, it could very likely be a tiger,”

Heipi replied.
