457: Chapter 455: Pouring Out the Heart 457: Chapter 455: Pouring Out the Heart “You’re quite something, aren’t you?

You actually came!”

As Chen Yang approached, Yang Caiyun couldn’t resist giving him a disdainful glance.

Chen Yang gave a mischievous grin and replied, “Sister Caiyun, you missed me so much, wanted me to warm your bed, how could I not hurry over?”

Upon hearing this, Yang Caiyun rolled her eyes again.

She had only meant to tease Chen Yang a bit, never expecting him to actually show up in the middle of the night.

But now that he was here, there was nothing to be done about it.

She peered outside twice to make sure there was no one around and then pulled Chen Yang inside.

“Come inside and talk, too many prying eyes outside, it wouldn’t be good to be seen.”

“Okay.”

Chen Yang nodded and followed her into the restaurant, then together they closed the door.

As soon as the door shut, Chen Yang immediately started to get fresh, cornering Yang Caiyun for a full-body check.

This left Yang Caiyun with hot cheeks.

Several times she thought about resisting, but afraid to make a noise, she just let Chen Yang have his way with her.

After several minutes, she finally managed to push Chen Yang away with some difficulty.

“Yang Zi…

stop fooling around…

Can we go talk in the room?

It’s not convenient here,” Yang Caiyun panted.

Chen Yang understood that it wasn’t convenient here.

This shop wasn’t just where Yang Caiyun lived, many other workers resided here too.

“Alright, let’s talk in the room.”

Chen Yang flashed a triumphant smile, temporarily letting Yang Caiyun go.

They then stealthily headed towards the inner part of the shop.

When they reached the back door, Chen Yang wanted to go straight towards the small back courtyard room.

But Yang Caiyun stopped him.

“Not that way, this way.”

Yang Caiyun pointed to a dim corner and Chen Yang looked in that direction, spotting the stairs leading to the second floor.

“Sis, don’t you live in the back courtyard?

What’s upstairs for?” Chen Yang asked, puzzled.

“The back courtyard is just where I rest normally; my room is upstairs,” Yang Caiyun answered.

Chen Yang oh-ed in understanding and followed Yang Caiyun up the stairs.

On the way up, Yang Caiyun gave a brief introduction to the structure of the shop to Chen Yang.

This residential building belonged to Yang Caiyun’s own family.

It was three stories high: the first floor was the fish restaurant, the second floor was where the workers ate and slept, and the third floor was Yang Caiyun’s living area.

“So that’s how it is.

I’ve been wondering why you lived in the back courtyard.

This house isn’t small; I was thinking how could you not have a room of your own,” Chen Yang said with a chuckle.

Yang Caiyun didn’t respond to Chen Yang, and after reaching the third floor, she took out her keys, unlocked her room, and led Chen Yang inside.

Entering the room, Chen Yang thought he could relax and not be too cautious, wanting to turn on the lights in the third-floor hall.

But he was stopped by Yang Caiyun again!

“Don’t turn on the lights, Yang Zi!

There are people here!”

Chen Yang looked puzzled: “There are people on the third floor?

Who?”

Yang Caiyun, somewhat embarrassed, pointed at a room and said, “My daughter, she lives in that room.”

Pfft.

Chen Yang nearly choked on the spot.

“Sis, you’re kidding me, right?

You have a daughter?”

Chen Yang was utterly astonished and found it hard to believe.

But Yang Caiyun nodded seriously, without a hint of joking: “Yes, I have a daughter.”

“Let’s go into my room first, and after we’re in, I’ll tell you all about it slowly.”

Yang Caiyun, with a coy pull, led Chen Yang into her room and locked the door behind them.

With the room lights on, Chen Yang saw Yang Caiyun’s room, which was decorated in a rather simple style.

However, the bed was rather large and soft.

After looking around, Chen Yang sat on the edge of the bed and gestured to Yang Caiyun to come over.

Yang Caiyun’s cheeks were still flushed at this time.

Seeing Chen Yang beckoning, she walked over and naturally sat on his lap.

Yang Caiyun was more mature, not as shy about these things as Li Han and the others.

So it all happened very naturally.

This made Chen Yang slightly taken aback, but after thinking it through, he found it normal and didn’t mind.

“Sis, how come you have a daughter?

Tell me about it,” Chen Yang wrapped his arms around Yang Caiyun’s waist and asked gently.

Yang Caiyun, who was initially brimming with allure and her body so supple it seemed to ooze water,

started to show a complex expression upon hearing Chen Yang ask about her daughter, as if there was some underlying sorrow.

“Ah.”

But after a deep sigh, she started to share her story with Chen Yang.

It turned out that Yang Caiyun had once been married, and that daughter was the child she had with her ex-husband.

After speaking about her daughter, Yang Caiyun also started to recount her previous marriage to Chen Yang.

“My ex-husband was a complete scumbag!

Not only was he lazy and gluttonous, but he was also a gambler who lost all our savings and racked up a huge debt.

In the end, I had no choice but to divorce him.”

“After the divorce, to win custody of Qianqian, I personally took on all the debts.

That’s why the riverside fish restaurant is so important to me; I need it to pay off those debts.”

By the time Yang Caiyun finished, she was crying so much that she looked like a pear blossom bathed in rain, which made Chen Yang’s heart ache.

“Sis…

it’s all in the past, don’t be sad.

Aren’t you doing well now?

The business at the riverside fish restaurant is booming, and your life will only get better.

There’s no need to cry, right?” Chen Yang consoled her.

Comforted by Chen Yang, Yang Caiyun’s sobs diminished somewhat.

“You’re right, Yang Zi, life will get better and better, and it’s best to leave the past behind,” Yang Caiyun wiped the tears from her face and lay in Chen Yang’s embrace.

“Actually, speaking of it, I really should thank you properly.

If it weren’t for you, the business at the riverside fish restaurant definitely wouldn’t be as good as it is now.”

Yang Caiyun said softly.

After a heartfelt confession, Chen Yang understood.

This was when Yang Caiyun was most vulnerable, and she needed genuine comfort.

“Sis, there’s no need for thanks like that.

You’re mine now, so why say such things?”

Chen Yang said calmly.

Upon hearing this, Yang Caiyun’s body trembled.

She abruptly lifted her head to look at Chen Yang.

“Yang Zi, what did you just say?

I’m your woman?”

Chen Yang nodded calmly, “Yes, Caiyun sis, you are my woman, and you will be for the rest of our lives.”

Chen Yang spoke in an ordinary tone, but with utmost seriousness, without a hint of carelessness.

At that, Yang Caiyun’s eyes immediately moistened, and she leaned into Chen Yang’s chest, weeping uncontrollably.

Completely moved by Chen Yang, she felt warmth.

Chen Yang held Yang Caiyun and whispered words of comfort,

until she had completely calmed down.

The now tranquil Yang Caiyun gave up all her defenses and, from the bottom of her heart, surrendered herself to Chen Yang.

Chen Yang, holding the fragile and alluring Yang Caiyun, felt as though his entire body would explode with emotion.

After holding each other for a while and exchanging glances which confirmed their mutual feelings, everything else simply followed naturally.

At five o’clock the next morning, before dawn, Chen Yang hurriedly left the riverside fish restaurant.

Yang Caiyun, wearing her pajamas and with a flushed face, stood at the door watching him go.

Chen Yang drove the van, racing all the way back to Liuhe Village.

Setting out at five, he arrived back at Liuhe Village after six.

By then, the sky was faintly lit, and the early-rising aunties in the village were already carrying hoes on their way to work in the fields.
